The All Things Political Topic - Politics is the entertainment division of the military industrial complex
I think Biden is just losing his mind, which I think is probably worse than lying on purpose. He's been like that for a while and it's not getting better. I'm not defending him and I don't even like him. I'd prefer almost any other Democrat and even quite a few Republicans, just none that are currently running. I remember what I was like hell no, not Mittens Romney. Now I'm like what about that Romney guy. It's like nuTrek being so bad that I'm like let's watch Enterprise.

Food Thread - Those that eat
When my wife's favorite milk is out of stock and I have to get one that's not organic I always give her crap like, sorry this milk is made out of rocks. My wife grew up a lot like I did though with a lot of stuff coming from someone's home garden and most meat from someone's small farm. Funny how that poor rural experience is crazy expensive now. We had to go to town to get the fancy processed stuff so it was always like a treat. Thankfully sodium isn't much of an issue for me but that's probably just a matter of time as everyone else in my family seems to have an issue with it. I have a skin condition that does better when I eat less heavily processed stuff.

The New Drinking Thread
I wish a good Islay was cheaper but then I'd probably be drunk all the time and my liver would be shot. 1. Intentionally left blank 2. Lagavulin. This was the Scotch that got me liking Scotch. I also like Laphroaig and Ardbeg. 4. I'm a dark rum drinker 5. Luksusowa and Chopin are my go tos 6. I really enjoy a good Limoncello or Ginja but it's tough to find ones I like a lot and don't remember the brands. I love a good Tawny Port as well. Most 20+ years will be a little pricier but the cheap stuff is trash.

I made tacos and yucca chips I also try to get the most minimally processed foods but I'm my own worst enemy because I like crap. I cut back on meat a lot and try to avoid anything factory farmed and try to get things cruelty free even though I think cruelty makes it taste better... he typed psychotically.

Ahsoka episode 4. I think Sabine has cemented herself as the worst Padawan since Anakin.

I got hooked on it when I was stationed there. A buddy of mine from Texas liked to try all the different BBQ joints in the area and since I was the most adventurous, I would go with him.

I grilled some chicken thighs over the weekend. Marinated them in a mix of mayo and hot sauce overnight then slathered them with a homemade Carolina Gold BBQ sauce while they cooked. I made 10 thighs for 5 people but by the time I actually sat down 10 minutes later there were none* left. I'm assuming they were good. * I told them to go ahead and eat without me because I wasn't that hungry and was still manning the grill

Ukraine Conflict - "The nationalist not only does not disapprove of atrocities committed by his own side, but he has a remarkable capacity for not even hearing about them."
It's technically pro-Maidan and anti-Maidan and they didn't all die, the vast majority survived the incident. I used anti-Russian to mean they want to be part of the West and not under the Russian sphere of influence anymore. Though I'm sure there are plenty of those that are racist against all Russians, especially now. There are a lot of sketchy and questionable things about the incident, even on the wiki page. When people want to kill each other there isn't much that you can do to stop them

Ukraine Conflict - "The nationalist not only does not disapprove of atrocities committed by his own side, but he has a remarkable capacity for not even hearing about them."
From everything I've found on what happened, the pro-Russian counter-protesters attacked the anti-Russian protesters then things escalated from there with 48 dead (46 pro-Russians). Not saying it's not a tragedy but that's hardly indicative of Ukraine trying to wipe out its Russian population, especially when there were Russians and Ukrainians on both sides of it. The way my in-laws described it was they burned down a building full of Russians just because, when the reports say the fighting ended up there after the anti-Russians rallied and destroyed their camp after the attack. They were shooting and throwing Molotov ****tails at each other and that is supposedly how the fire started, though which side exactly started the fire is debated in the sources I've seen. I don't know what the police were doing this whole time but there were reports they let the initial attacks happen and then just stood by. I'll see if I can find some non-Wiki links but I looked into this last year at some point so the details aren't all fresh in my mind. Also, I don't read Ukrainian or Russian so my wife was translating some of the articles for me, but before she did she was also very much what about that building they burned down, and that stopped immediately after she started looking into it, not that she ever thought the war was justified.

What You've Done Today - We do not remember days, we remember moments
Never crossed my mind. I'm not a cat person but I never want to see any animals neglected or suffering. This was obviously someone's cat and we were just afraid that it got out rather than it had an owner that didn't care or know the dangers. We don't really have strays around here because the traffic, animal control, or predators get them.

What You've Done Today - Don't do today, what you can get someone else to do tomorrow
Went for a walk and we were approached by a cat that seemed like it needed help and started following us. Knocked on a couple of doors and apparently the owner just lets the cat roam the neighborhood freely. I'm glad I don't now have a cat but I feel really bad for that cat and its ****ty owner.

A little bit of STO and not much else. I abandoned my BG3 game in the first act and haven't felt the desire to get back to it. I want to wait for DLC before doing another Wrath run. I'm also taking a break from JA3 just because I've already beaten it 3 times and am a little burned out.

I don't really care all that much about Bioware anymore and I don't remember the last game they released that I really loved, ME2 maybe. It's been a string of disappointments of varying levels starting with DA2. Sucks for anyone that lost their jobs though.- The All Things Political Topic - Politics is the entertainment division of the military industrial complex
