  1. I love scallops but have never had octopus or eel that I've enjoyed. Squid, I could go either way depending on how it's prepared. I've only had cuttlefish fish in a squid ink pasta and I liked it at first but then it became too much. I love raw oysters and I make a pretty mean pot of mussels with cream and wheat beer. Not that big on crawfish because those little ****s used to bite the crap out of me when I'd go into some of our favorite childhood swimming holes and I hold a grudge. Pretty sure I've never had jellyfish, shark, or any sea mammal. Final edit, I had scrambled eggs with ajika for brunch. My wife says I like my scrambled eggs weird because I crack the eggs into the pan and let them cook for a while before giving them a quick scramble. She likes to mix them before cooking, which I do for her, but I just like my eggs not perfectly mixed and also I like them slightly drier because I'm pretty much always eating them with a sauce.
  2. I love crab and shrimp but I don't like lobster at all. Tonight I made steak hard J fajitas
  3. I've been doing guided meditation with my son every night for a few weeks and even though I'm probably imagining it, I swear his attention and patience have improved while his tantrums have reduced. We also do light yoga on the weekends. If we ever have another then I'll definitely start earlier next time.
  4. Shrimp was on sale so two nights ago I had jambalaya with andouille sausage and shrimp and last night I had orzo with shrimp. Now to figure out a meal for tonight that doesn't include shrimp since I'm out and my wife is tired of it.
  5. I know I didn't think that 1, Russia would actually invade and 2, they wouldn't secure victory in a few weeks. Never been so happy to be wrong though or maybe that goes to them not using nukes, which I thought they might do once they became a laughingstock.
  6. Yep, I get email and text updates if they have to reschedule for any reason and I also check the website around any holidays just in case because I'm always afraid they'll try to blame me for missed pickups. I'm a bit paranoid because of some dealings I've had with other businesses so my default mode is CYA when dealing with most companies because I've gotten screwed before, and not in a good way.
  7. Yeah, my neighborhood has no HOA so we can pick and choose any company that services our area.
  8. I wouldn't be surprised if you guys lose to the Bucs, TBH. That's not even my Cowboy hate talking, just you guys are all over the place.
  9. I'm very close to dropping Waste Management for trash services and just paying more for a better service. They haven't picked up my garbage in 2 and half weeks and it's supposed to be weekly. On top of that they keep changing my pickup day which while not terrible is super annoying.
  10. Pretty sure this is it. IIRC they are at NAS North Island. I don't want to spoil anything but I'm also probably severely overthinking a movie that plays so fast and loose with pretty much everything.
  11. Finished The Recruit. It got less frustrating or I just got used to it. Hope they make a second season because they didn't really resolve very much while adding more questions to the mix.
  12. Nope, they're all Navy. Navy uniforms and ranks which are completely different from the Marines. I'm guessing it was a style choice because they clearly had military access and advisors and the internet. Obviously, a minor thing overall but to me it stuck out.
  13. Top Gun 2. I think I liked it more than the original. Still confused about the Marine Corps honor guard at a Navy funeral. I feel gross like my viewing has supported Scientology in some small way. My wife liked it way, way more than the original.
  14. Same boat. I don't mind with limited series but with all the cliffhanger endings and unexplained sequel bait I usually just pass on it. Netflix has kinda just become regular cable TV which is why it's probably the service at the top of my list for cancellation. I already have Hulu for safe and generic cable TV shows.
  15. Aren't they, Obsidian, fully owned by Microsoft? Not actually trying to be pedantic, more of a side effect of my curiosity. I don't think I've ever seen any details of the deal, which is why I'm asking. Apologies in advance.
  16. Gop Tun, the first one. My wife asked me why they're all so sweaty all the time. Then she said that it was one of the most homoerotic films she's seen in a long time, possibly ever. All in all she liked it but got bored at times. Not sure if she'll want to watch the second one, I kinda don't.
  17. Continued failing dry January. Craving Lagavulin to boot. I kinda want several of those Amazon security drones so I can pretend I'm a Shadowrunner or something. Probably going to hit a few Yuropean markets later, need to restock ajika and get some pelmeni for my wife. Happy Christmas to those who don't like to update their calendars!
  18. Egg shortage around these parts, due to avian flu and new chicken housing requirements as CO is moving towards cage free only eggs, which sucks for me because I've been having scrambled eggs with ajika every morning for a couple of weeks now. I don't normally eat breakfast or even lunch but I had some meds that required food and I had to take them first thing in the morning. Was just some steroids that my dermatologist prescribed me because my skin broke out in Trill spots but now I've gotten used to eating in the morning and now I'm hungry when I wake up when before I wasn't.
  19. Black Adam. It was much better than I thought but my expectations were so low that it would have had to take something amazingly bad to disappointed me. If you can go in with low expectations and also go brain neutral while watching then I suggest it under those conditions.
  20. Myers's Rum and Pepsi Mango Two things I don't like some how turned into one thing I may like too much.
  21. We were going to go see it yesterday because we had the day off but we decided to wait until it goes to streaming once we saw the runtime.
