  1. Hi! Did you know that Sundering Blow works with ranged weapons? Because I somehow missed that all the time. Okay, I haven't played a lot of single class fighters in the first place (bit boring) so I didn't have much motivation to check that in- or outside the game. But causing solid -4 AR in a quite big AoE for over 30 secs is nothing to sneeze at. Trying a SC Tactician atm and the Blinding Smoke (distracts) seemed to be a convenient way to flank most enemies on the spot. Then I stumbled across Sundering Blow... Sunder! Ah-ha-aha-aha-ha-a! Sunder! Ah-ha-aha-aha-ha-a! I was caught In the middle of a duuummy pack (Sunder!) I looked 'round And I knew there was no switching back (Sunder!) My mind raced And I thought, what could I use? (Sunder!) And you know I had already lightened the fuse... (Sunder!) Scorching their arse penetrating their heart The thunder of mortars Tore them apart They've been... ...Clean Swept!

  2. This whole anti-mask/anti-vaxx sh*t is a Zone A thing. Everyone in Zone B seems to be compliant on the scientific consensus regarding Covid-19 and its variants, hence their successful handling of the pandemic. By the way, when I refer to "Zone A" I mean usually the U.S., Australia, Canada, EU, etc aka the "Collective West" "Zone B" would be Beijing, Moscow, Tehran, etc. aka "The Other Team in the East".

  4. Revolutionary Girl Utena 3-5 Does Anthy get slapped every episode? Pretty much keeps up the status quo, except DIO's sister is a bitch and DIO ****s a guys sister on a piano. "Your sister is as cute as you are" So it's like The End of Evangelion.

  6. My wife suggested these. Baskets that can be attached to zip lines so you can send inventory level items this way you can continue exploring after a berry or clay harvest trip. Bug basket. A cute little basket that your pet can ride with you on a Zipline with. Bonus if aphids make death screams from going too fast but aren't hurt of course

  7. Can we make an upgrade for the watch, where we have a minimap after creating it or can we make a makeshift compass so we know what direction we are going in?

  8. Right now it seems like she's just there to get slapped and bullied. I'm not sure if she's going to do a heel turn or just get killed, but either is better than the slap doll she currently is. Well that's either good or bad. Guess there's only one way to figure out. Ok, well then it's going to be quite a ride for you once the gang finds DIO's mansion.

  11. No, it gets worse. Miki's sister. The guy with the stopwatch. Good luck finding out what the stopwatch is supposed to mean. Yes and no. Both at once, yet none. The biggest difference between the Utena movie and End of Evangelion is that EoE was narrative in addition to thematic closue for Neon Genesis Evangelion, while the original series only offered a thematic closure in the form of Shinji working through his problems and breaking out of the little world he's enclosed himself in. Revolutonary Girl Utena's ending doesn't have that problem, it serves as a thematic closure as well as a narrative one, assuming one can actually find the narrative. It's not unsatisfying without the film, it just works much better with the film. More talk about EoE: EoE, interestingly enough, contains the same thematic closure as the series, it's just less readily apparent, and fans have called that film "angry" and leaving the franchise going out on a hateful note. I don't think that's necessarily true, NGE spends a lot of its runtime showing us that Shinji isn't a likeable character. EoE does that - again - except in appropriately compressed feature film length by having him **** to an unconscious Asuka, and later attempt to choke her when she calls him out on it when they have their alternate reality childhood friendship, although in the context of the series itself Asuka can blame herself for that just as well. Shinji masturbating to her is more or less what she wanted to have, validation that she's attractive (something she did not get from Kaji when she tried) and desirable as a person beyond her ability to pilot an EVA, it's just her wish being granted in the vilest of ways. Yet, at the end, when Asuka reaches for Shinji's cheek, he just stops, and at that moment, essentially, goes through the original ending (kind of). Convinced until that point that nobody will ever like him, he realizes that Asuka accepts him, in her own, damaged way. Asuka on the other hand gets her validation, because who cold you possibly get so worked up if you didn't feel passionately about that person? We could assume that Shinji in EoE gets a compressed, utterly unsympathetic arc because he serves as more of an audience stand-in in EoE and reflects on Anno's bad experiences following the ending of the original series, with the vandalization of Gainax properties, the waves of insults and the death threats - all that before social media made sh*tstorms a thing. If you assume that, then yes, it becomes angrier than the actual series. If that bothers a viewer, though, then perhaps they're actually part of the problem, right? Or the viewer is a shipper and annoyed that EoE doesn't support either #teamrei or #teamasuka. That would be a little strange, given the almost universal love for having him run off with anime fanservice **** and ass character in Rebuild. If that doesn't reflect badly on the fandom, then what does?

  12. I had little bit more time today, so I have started Druidstone again after two month break, and finished three more missions on Hard for three new achievements. It is still very enjoyable game for me, and you need to solve some levels and achievements like puzzles. If you have not played it, I still can only recommend it. The developers are still releasing patches, if they get some bug reports, even if minor or rare one... Also I have played this evening little bit of Rebel Galaxy again, and tired to jump into more difficult sectors. Unfortunately, this cost me my hired mercenary, which was shot down so I had to hire a new one. for 120K Credits, ouch. I really hope, he will be good enough support for this kind of money. But still compared to my new mining laser, which cost me 1.2M Credits, it is just spare changes

  14. Utena episode 2. Fighting duels doesn't seem to be a good way to decide engagements, but what do I know? Anthy doesn't seem to do anything but get slapped and act servile to her current fiance. I wonder what Student Council DIO and End of the World are up to, but I guess it will be completely insane. Wait so there's a movie too? What did I jump in to? Devilman Lady is a few steps behind the Overfiend. If you can deal with it then it's ok, I just don't want you to feel like I tricked you into reading hentai. Hol Horse and Boingo in the cab.

  15. The teacher overseeing the keion club organized some outfits for the band's first live performance at the school festival (in Love Live! it was a school presentation of club activities), and Mio freaks out because she really doesn't want to wear hers. Mio also wrote the lyrics for the song they'll be performing. Love Live!'s Umi isn't just a blatant ripoff of Mio, she's a carbon copy. Seriously, how did they get away with that? Love Live! is, however, a bit different in some respects. The characters are used much more for fanservice, of course, but they're also a little more, say, not as... much in total hilarity overdrive mode. The girls from K-On! are much more expressive and more, erm, anime*, but otherwise so far it is the answer to the question of "What would happen if Minako and Usagi started a band?" and it's pretty funny. Yui and Ritsu aren't Usagi and Minako, obviously, but they're goofing off of each other in a somewhat similar manner. I also read the second season gets a bit more serious and has more character drama than straight up goofy comedy bits. I'll see soon enough, it's not like there's a lot of episodes. Oh, and I also tried the English dub for a (very) short while. Yui is voiced by Usagi, and Mio by Rei, and I turned it off almost immediately. Nope, that doesn't work, at all. *This is where it is really noticable that K-On! was based on a 4 panel gag manga, i.e. the Japanese equivalent of silly newspaper comic strips. @Bartimaeus (not actual spoilers):

  18. Wat? Here comes the Mortar Monk (vid) : Stunning Surge with blunderbusses - especially Serafen's mortars - is one of the best (ranged) abilities. Very high chance for Mortification refunds and hjust absurdely strong CC. Add +10 INT for the mortar AoE and longer durations for "Heating Up" and stuff like Stunning Surge and Arterial Strike etc. as well as longer distracted durations from Hand Mortars "Blinding Smoke" which unlocks Deathblows automatically. Suddenly a Monk/Streetfighter seems like a really good idea (and it is). If going with destructive channeling first you would also gain wounds very quickly in combination with Dance of Death (later Enduring Dance). Self damage such as destr. channeling doesn't end Dance of Death. There is no source of healing though nor a reliable way to raise defenses once bloodied so a party member would have to provide that. On the other hand you have two summons (Dichotomous Soul) that are superuseful to prevent harm from you. Other goodies for such a bloodied ranged Streetfighter char from the top of my head: Barbarian: Blooded, +25% dmg Barbarian: Unflinching, grants resistance to all Body afflcitions when over 50% health and NOT when bloodied. However, you can use this mechanic to completely remove any affliction. As soon as you heal over 50% the resistance kicks in, removing one tier of affliction (e.g. paralyzed to immobilzed). Then you drop below 50% again (no resistance) and back over 50% (resistance again) and the immobilized gets downgraded to hobbled... and so on. Wizard: Llengrath's Safeguard, +defenses and +5(!)AR High Harbinger's Robes, the lower your health the higher the action speed buff The Magnificent Escape Cape, grants an escape-like ability when bloodied that gives +50 deflection, stacks with all wizard buffs (not with Rogue's Escape!) and can be prolonged with Wall of Draining As Elric pointed out a Bloodmage is a very convenient way to reach bloodied and then being able to maintain the bloodied state rel. safely. You don't even need scepters for that. Also with mortars the Infuse with Vital Essence spell comes in handy because the +5 INT will enlarge the AoE. THe Streetfighter/Monk (e.g. Helwalker) is a lot more impactful offensively though.

  19. You can recruit new companions even when you go with a full party. It will open the party management window, so you can integrate them in the party right away, or let them wait in Caed Nua until you want to change your party. (I remember always going to new areas with a party of 5 when I first played the game because I was unsure of just that - not necessary )

  20. Utena episode 1. Sword of DIO? DIO himself as a student council president? End of the World? Is this a very long JoJo reference? It looks very 90's, kind of like a Sailor Moon if the girls were a few years older. I'm sure Wakaba will end up Naru as time goes on. Other than that, I'm really not sure what's going on here. @majestic

  21. Meanwhile, in New Zealand: One Person Shows up at Anti-Lockdown Protest in Auckland Kind of wish they'd keep the old title about police breaking up a one man protest. (We did have a larger protest right at the beginning, maybe a few dozen people. Not the brightest bulbs deliberately and pointlessly getting themselves arrested when the courts are running on an essential basis and you tell the bail hearing you'll offend again, hoping to act like you're Nelson Mandela on Robben Island but forgetting that you won't have internet access sitting in a police cell...)

  22. Ok, so I started again. Basically I "grafted" a copy of Spark the Soul of the Righteous attack to Screaming Souls ability. Then, step by step, I modded it to redo the Screaming Souls effects. Now it's working fine, with original Vessel/Spirit only AoE, secondary raw damages AoE and Distracted status. Can be applied several times and affect all valid targets. Basically it works, but I haven't copied the original visuals yet. Needless to say that I have yet no clue why this works and why it didn't, but I don't really care at this point. (note that because I had to re-create the attack completely, I might make imossible the split of the changes between 2 separate files) I'll complete the ability and the mod version later. I have a plane to take But if you want to try (Edit : Mechanically it should be the same as final version, except cast/recovery time should be 3s/4.5s instead of 4.5s/3s ; haven't changed yet from Spark the Souls). Edit : Some feedback about how the ability feels now would be precious. Oh, Screaming Souls also works on Spiritual Ally that any priest can take. cl.cipher.screaming_souls_all_targets_scream.gamedatabundle

  23. if you retire at 65 and want to make $35k per year based on extreme safe interest only investments, you would need more than $1 million saved to last into your 80s. if you are 25 today, to save $1 million dollars by 65 you better start by saving $600 per month and increasing steadily. more than 50% o' the adult US population has more debt than assets. is a whole lotta the adult population making just enough to cover rent and bus fare and little more; their retirement plan is lotto scratchers. comrade wouldn't recognize the american psyche if it jumped up and smacked him across the face with a rotting trout. 24. Nice, I missed that. But I don't see the game on GOG. Did they announce it will be on there? The expansion does take place between the first and second games, but it was just another act tacked on to the story. The transition between the two games was still abrupt. Given how the plot develops and the setup in BG2, that's to be expected to an extent, but there was a feeling of strong railroading from start to finish. Again, nothing new for that saga, if we're being honest, especially considering that the story before and after was set in stone for them. Hence the complaint from some that the whole expansion was... pointless. The interactions with the NPC you are referencing felt a bit too frequent and on the nose for me, though. It didn't help that the voice actor in question sounded fairly different from what he used to due to aging. I remember enjoying SoD more mechanically than narratively, which is the opposite of BG2 for me. BG1 is... something you do to set up your character and background for 2, heh. But yeah, as Wormerine said, we can discuss it more once you've completed it.

  28. am gonna admit that as much as am liking trickster abilities and the general concept, the problem is the story implementation. if you wanna be a conman who is willing to exploit friends and foe alike, then the trickster is a good option, but while beer elementals and fish missiles might sound funny, we found the trickster story elements increasing less humorous as we got deeper into the game. shame too. HA! Good Fun!

  29. I see alot of post trying to add elements that would detract from the what kids are capable of. So I say lean into the aesthetic this game already has. Let's go to camp. Things to see added Archery targets-made of dry grass these items will grant a buff if you hit the bullseye for the day. Increased damage with projectiles Canoes-just an alternate method of transversing water without having to deal with waterborne foes. Bon Fire-collect stems and dry grass to make a large fire that will keep bugs away. Must be refueled every so often. Billy hog roasted-whats a bon fire without roasting some I am pretty sure it used to be meat by products Marshmallows-can be harvested by cutting. Chunks can either be roasted or used underwater to float objects to the surface. The Blob- a large air bladder that would be made of leather and rubber. It floats on the water. Anyone on it will be bounced if something lands on it while the are on it. Get creative with ziplines to see how far you can launch a friend. Merit badges-these are items of accomplishment. They are earned by either going above and beyond the game scope such as using a trampoline under an aphid to see if he can be a cosmonaut when you smack the grassblade he is on or see how many shovel hits it takes to beat a wolf spider. Fishing- use bait to reel in mosquito larvae and other oddities Stewpot-using the chefs secret recipe combine food items and certain non foods to get better items. Like spider chunks and water would snow spider legs. Mmm pass the butter substitute. Wood shop-use skills to make better buildings and tools. Maybe a two person saw for faster harvesting husky weeds. Spiked Palisades to reflect back damage. Wooden helmet nearly indestructible makes you stun proof but increases your heat so you get thirsty much faster. Softball gear- you can get a nice little outfit to go with the wooden helmet that increases you running speed while not holding a weapon. A glove that acts as a shield and a ball that can be thrown like a pebblet being hucked but flys farther faster and can deal more damage. Ghost stories with burgle. He will tell you stories at night that give a little insight to what happened to the different labs such as Whose eating who(muscle sprout themed), the breach(explains the pink footsteps leaving oak lab), The New assistant was a real Fungi(Haze lab story), Secrets from the dark web(the brood mother's attack on the hedge lab), and last but not least [REDACTED] Throw in a sleeping bag-a storable lean too and your set

  31. Or fishing. I floated that theory to her and she shot it down with prejudice. Its not enough money for me to retire, and to be serious for a moment, the bigger problem with trying to retire early is figuring out the medical/dental/vision insurance from now to age 65 (when government insurance plans kick in).

  32. am largely repeating what we said elsewhere... marketing is the frequentest excuse for why a good game sold poor. is a pleasant illusion 'cause it means the game you liked were still good, and it also means the developers you approve o' did nothing wrong. cheap. easy excuse which shifts blame. deadfire were the wrong game if goal were to improve sales o' poe. poe2, from start o' development, were making clear that design philosophy were refinement o' poe-- those who liked poe would get a better game in poe2. that were the problem. poe were selling ie game nostalgia, and too many folks who played poe did not get the bg3 for which they hoped. hardcore crpgs is an admitted niche genre. hardcore fans tend to become more polarized over minutiae than ordinary fans. unfortunate, deadfire developers narrowed appeal o' their title by letting those who were disappointed with poe failure to be another bg2 know that deadfire would be even more unlikable. as somebody who enjoyed poe, deadfire design were targeting Gromnir. save for a few mechanics issues, we appreciated deadfire improvements. yes, we did have more than a couple narrative concerns, but such has been belabored ad nauseum and were not, we believe, contributing to underwhelming initial sales. deadfire were made for folks such as Gromnir. liked the first game and wanted the sequel to refine what were done well in poe. the problem is, there were too few Gromnirs... which is pretty much insane. should never be more o' us. but again, deadfire were appealing to an already niche genre and developers made clear the game were gonna be even more exclusive than first title. diminished sales, in retrospect, should not surprise. HA! Good Fun!
