I have watched only one episode of Sailor Moon R so far. Oh, and this episode had an older version of a famous meme:3 points

E. L. James comes up in her video Dear Stephenie Meyer video, because Shades of Grey started out as Twilight fanfiction - much like Anna Todd's "After" series was One Direction fanfiction before it became a similar smash hit for no reason. I think After is even worse to be honest. It is aptly named however. After is the German word for anus, and that's where that book series came from. And yes, that's the last of what you will hear from me about that, unless asked. Sorry. I mean, at least in this thread. Ah, the left and their massive meme fraud. I love how almost every seiyū in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure practises Shatnerian overacting regardless of what's happening on the screen. It had a rough start, but it's beginning to grow on me.2 points

Whoa, whoa, stop, hold on a second. Sir...this is a Wendy's the Sailor Moon thread. I've spent my entire life avoiding learning anything about 50 Shades of Gray, and now you've gone and ruined that in this most sacred of places. How could you do this to me, to KP, to any of us? Now I'm going to go watch some Steven Universe or the new season of Hilda...or something, and try to forget that anyone ever made a connection between Sailor Moon and...that, and I hope you spend some time thinking about what you've done.2 points

It's the right sort of acid to be true- 'butyric' as a word comes butter, and it's the prime constituent in the smell/ taste of rancid butter for example. I'd be pretty skeptical though, milk is one of those products that doesn't really go off in a slow and steady manner, it tends to go off suddenly and obviously since even a mild amount of acid drops all the protein out as it denatures. So unless they're making chocolate with, say, non cultured buttermilk any process that creates butyric acid would be counterproductive. Acid is of course crucial in making a lot of dairy products like yoghurt or cheese, but that's controlled and by and large not what you want from chocolate. And having said that, a ten second google search indicates Raithe may well be correct, and Hershey for some reason may well be using, effectively, butyrised buttermilk to make chocolate. Swiped from Wikipedia: Why you need to do that if you're using fresh milk I have no idea.2 points

Man everything I hear about Crystal makes it sound like it took everything the manga (which I have not read aside from wiki) did badly and just makes it worse instead of adapting it to fit a series. They're already against the creators since they get fired after every season lmao2 points

I dunno, I guess it's from people who think Trump was anti-war and forgot Trump assassinated an Iranian general last year. While US imperialism is obviously a bad thing, some folks are really selective about caring about it depending on who is in charge.2 points

Random Trivia: American chocolate tastes like vomit. And there's a reason for it. The chocolate factories are further from the dairy farms in the USA than in Europe, so due to that distance of transport they have a chemical process to extend the shelf life of the milk... which as a byproduct produces butyric acid in the milk. And that is the same stuff you get in vomit. Also, they tend to put more sugar while having less cocoa solids. That combination is why Europeans as a general rule of thumb really find American made chocolate detestable compared to proper chocolate made over here.2 points

The general implication being that is was not Russia and Syria that bombed the country into the stone age, but instead it was the USA? I believe that's in error.1 point

The best sword fight scene in cinema IMHO: Not the flashiest fight, but in terms of how an actual sabre duel would happen, it's pretty realistic.1 point

Yes, you also know how to defrost a fridge. Its more complicated than it sounds So my insurance callout can be for any " household internal problem" like a blocked drain, electrify tripping or failed kitchen appliance and you get the first hour of labor for free but you must pay for any required parts So I have only used them about 4-5 times for plumbing problems as I use the actual manufacturer , like Kelvinator in the case of my fridge , and the item warranty period to fix my appliances normally or I use a qualified electrical engineer if its out of warranty and pay him privately and pay for parts myself1 point

Nice! Ive never defrosted a refrigerator but I assume you just unplug it and leave the doors open? Im curious, your "household insurance" can be used on anything big or small (AC / heat) or is only for appliances (fridge, washing machine, etc.)? As you will learn, the costs of the actual materials required to perform a fix as usually very affordable. Where you take the biggest hit is usually in the "labor charges". The more you learn to do yourself, the more you will save in this category.1 point

Oh, yes, right. Forgot again. Kino Makoto: Well Kino means Wood's in this context (Jupiter being Wood Star in Japanese, do you see a trend yet?). What Makoto was supposed to mean exactly is a bit problematic because unlike the other girls her name is only ever written in hiragana - without a kanji to differentiate and no context to glean meaning from, the closest one would probably be sincerity or faithfulness. For those that don't know (which I'm guesing is potentially IC here in this thread) Hiragana is one of the three Japanese letter/writing systems where every character represents a syllable (sort of, it's not really a syllable in our sense, but as far as approximations go that's okay enough). It's entirely possible to write only in Hiragana, like Usagi does just to show you that she's not the brightest of students. Normal Japanese writing has Kanji for nouns and verbs, with Hiragana for conjugations and particles. So with Hiragana only able to provide how you pronounce a word, not what meaning it should have in the case of homophones we can't exactly know. Unless Naoko Takeuchi noted it somewhere. *shrug*1 point

Bethesda and Larian are some of the worst ideas I've seen kicked around. Problem is that I can't even think of a studio I'd want to handle it. I guess Obsidian would be okay but I also some some big doubts about them too.1 point

Also the combo of Enfeebled + Puppet Master + 10 INT (+ eventually crit) can be really impressive. Punch an enemy and then dominate them. They will be yours for a really(!) long time. At the same time they can't heal and will be no problem once they flip back (and are still alive). Also Enfeebled+Whispers of Treason and then cast Disintegrate on the charmed enemy works well because Disintegrate will not flip the charmed enemy back to hostile. I tried a Forbidden Fist/Beguiler for some time and I really liked the combination of Enfeeblement + Mind Control and that you can just fill you focus up with some Phantom Foes or Secret Horrors at the start of battle.1 point

To mirror the authentic Bloodlines(TM) experience, Obsidian will develop the first two acts, and Bethesda will develop the final two acts.1 point

I like Skyrim for what it is. I hate their take on Fallout. Morrowind is probably the best game they made. Yet it doesn't change the fact that their quest design is always shallow and mostly about having you trek over the whole worldmap time and time again while you experience their randomly slapped together theme park game worlds.1 point

I mean, if Obsidian would do it, at least we would get a finished game. My only issue is that the last couple Obsidian games were all playing it super safe when it comes to quest complexity, to the point that everything feels predictable. So ... without having played a vampire game by Obsidian, I kinda already feel like I know how it would play. /Edit: I just saw the Bethsoft thing above and .... lolno. No. God... no. lol. No. Stop it. How the hell would Bethesda be a better choice for "complexity" when all Bethsoft games are known for being shallow as duck.1 point

hi just thought i would post a quick guide on how i got Pallegina (companion) even after she has i guess broken her vows. 1.) first of all talk to her in queens birth, i was nice to her not sure if that helps(did not reload to test), i did sugggest she joins me in hunting down our enemies, she walked away. 2.) i went to the palace and spoke to the queen, pallegina was not there and had no option to recruit her, however the valian npc's said during the dialogue with the queen they will send for her(pallegina) and request she comes to the valian trading company headquarters in queens birth. 3.) here is the tricky part, if you go to valian headquarters and doors are locked and guards outside wont let you in (unless you turn hostile on them), so use the sewer grate next to them and go through to enter the toilets in order to remain non hostile, sneak out of the door and into the i guess reception room on the immediate right(down screen), pallegina is there and will now join your party, you can even exit through the main door and the guards outside will think nothing of it and remain non hostile. hope this helps, like if it did. EDIT: only posting this as i had trouble finding her and found nothing on the google search to help. correct anything if you find it wrong or want to add some insight.1 point
