US Rep Paul Mitchell from Michigan has resigned from the Republican Party. I thought the letter he sent was worth sharing:4 points

Every morning: "I'm going to barrel my way through some main quest because I really want to open up the world..." Result: "Wonder what's down there. Ooo, lootbox bonanza! I wonder how far this road/sewer/path goes. Are those more gangs I can murderdeathkill? I wonder what that giant building is. You-shall-not-pass! (darn) Is that a ship?"2 points

Probably as some free DLC in February which we will all worship them for. Or maybe later in the inevitable EE.2 points

I found a solution for this problem for players from Turkey. Try change your language from Turkish to English(UK) then start the game. This fixed my problem. Hope it is helpful.2 points

Here's a test. Lets see if I can post Cyberpunk images in 16K without causing browser crashes2 points

The funniest thing is, that the Project CARS people are back to EA... Looks like Karma did bit them in the end for their PCARS3 shennigans... In other news: “In order to bring our customers the most immersive experience, we’ll be bringing the all new mechanisms to all our upcoming racing games, so you can enjoy the same value of all costs as in real life. Paying for your new virtual Ferrari was never as fulfilling before!”2 points

Queen of the Hill! ... or something. Also ... someone's gotta keep that bikini-armor tradition alive.2 points

This is highly likely, thanks for pointing that out@Besto_s and @sahinf. I'll inform the people here if I find anything that helps.2 points

Well, since I'd need a new PC for Cyberpunk I guess I'm part of the PNP alliance So I've been building, of course. Gotta love having merged my different savegames into one, it's kind of cool to run into my own buildings from other characters in the wild. My first base: My old Khitan base, built against a large stone pillar Also been working on a base for my Darfari using (mostly) the new Stormglass set. The set has actual windows instead of just holes in the wall for a change! They look a bit like early class, so they allow light and a distorted view of outside through. Top-down view, hopefully giving a slightly better idea of the layout... Same, but at night. I like the light behind the windows, at least in as far as the draw distance actually draws it... Building a little village around the castle Map Room at the top of the left tower, took some doing to make this work with the stability...2 points

Since it's more game company news than game specific, but did you folks see that CD Project Red have already made back the money they invested in Cyberpunk? Apparently the eight million pre-orders and day one sales earned them over the cost of producing the game. So the company made the decision to actually pay all bonuses rather than hold them to the criteria of critic / metacritic review thresholds. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-12-11/cd-projekt-changes-developer-bonus-structure-after-buggy-release2 points

It's one of those examples of the quest line pointing you to the next stage.. but if you take your time to wander around and check stuff on your own it turns up. I wasn't sure if you'd known where that spoiler item was discovered.1 point

Whedon was part of the investigation related to Ray Fisher's allegations about the activities of Whedon (and Johns and Berg) related to the filming of Justice League after Zach Snyder left. WB recently said that they completed their investigation and took remedial action. In a movie that no one is sure is coincidental, Whedon stepped down off of the show he created for HBO Max (a division of WB) called THE NEVERS, citing exhaustion. This was the only investigation I was aware of, although Whedon revealed obliquely some bad behavior after his wife split from him and made accusations against him, IIRC, so I suppose its possible there's more than one investigation going on into his activities.1 point

I'd be much happier if they actually had fashionware, synskin and such. Get kind of jealous watching the people walking around the streets having all sorts of wicked mods that I can but dream of.1 point

Seriously, if they gave it for free, I still wouldn't bother to reinstall. On a different note, EPIC had accidentally mixed up alerts when the pre-loads for Cyberfunk started and sent me an alert that pre-orders for Werewolf: Earthblood started. They did start pre-orders yesterday for realz now. Release 4. Feb.1 point

The setting was born in a time when westerners feared the Japanese would take over the world, before they were defanged by the Plaza Accords. Pretty hilarious in hindsight. Fallout had the right idea instead.1 point

That moment when you see a character with a backer name in the game and they are called Catherine Jones, call sign "Zeta"... And it is one of the better names.1 point

The fact that CP actually bothers to treat it's protagonist like a human being and takes time out to portray and address their mental health is enough to make me adore the game on it's own. Every time a game leads into that topic but then goes "...but you're an ultimate badass so I know x doesn't bother you" I groan out loud at the wasted potential.1 point

Yeah, I watched Suicide Squad about a week ago too. I rolled my eyes fairly hard at the whole "outcasts and pariahs coming together as family", but the upside was definitely the acting, especially Will Smith who obviously had fun playing Deadshot. A pity that neither he nor Jared Leto are signed on for the sequel. All in all a bit of good, silly fun.1 point

Honestly I don't mind the flood of CP2077 content. But what does piss me off is developers pushing back releases for no other reason than avoiding competing for exposure with it. I have about zero interest in playtesting this buggy mess of a game, but I might have checked out MechWarrior these holidays.1 point

Hubby's sister's husband had a massive stroke apparently (he had a heart attack over a decade ago, as well). He's back home but needs a lot of care and she's trying to figure out how they'll live on mostly disability - we're not sure if it's semi-temporary or if he'll never be able to go back to work again etc. They're both in early 60's. So ... yeah. Another reminder of all our encroaching mortality and to always appreciate what you have when you have it. I wish we all still lived nearby, like way back. We'll have to figure out a time to go visit.0 points

Just a heads up, my credit card expired and covid put a damper on me going home to get the new one, so I haven't unlocked this month's stuff yet.0 points
