  2. Devoted with pistol is a bit difficult because there is only one pistol that doesn't do pierce damage. So if you face enemies who are immune to pierce damage you are a bit screwed(you'll have to eat a -10 accuracy malus if you want to use any other type of weapon or pick Monastic Unarmed Training for fists). The pistol that does raw damage (Eccea's Arcane Blaster) is not easy to get early. But I would try now. Critical hits do PEN *1.5 automatically. I don't recall if Penetrating Crit does add +2 before the 1.5 multiplier or after. Before would be better of course. If it doesn't display the bonus at all it's maybe bugged? Since crits already do PEN*1.5 (which is more than enough, especially on a Devoted), I never bothered with Penetrating Crits but chose the +25% damage variant instead.
  3. Boeroer. Now playind devoted/bloodmage. The build is insane I decided to take devoted instead of ranger because i want to be focused more on single targets (bosses and megabosses) Now playing with scordeos trophy pistol and i have a question. Does penetrating crit (+15% crit dmg, +2 pen on crit) not working properly? In the damage logs i dont see these +2 pen on crit
  4. CrashReportClient.iniCrashContext.runtime-xml Not sure if these help. CrashContext.runtime-xml CrashReportClient.ini
  5. Tainted Grail has pulled me in. It has POE1 vibes. You talk to gods and dead people. It's grim. There are giant statues with their hands poking out of the earth. The King Arthur story was off putting to me to begin, but its unique enough that I am enjoying it. There is a decent variety of monsters. My favorite being the fog monster. Sometimes it's just fog, sometimes it's a fog monster. The cinematics before a boss fight are unnerving. Oddly enough I think the lower budget graphics make it more creepy. Hard to explain exactly. So far the choices seem to be pretty basic. I haven't had anyone comment on my actions now that I'm in a new area... even though they probably should consider me an enemy? Its definitely not perfect but at least I'm engaged.
  6. I took the family to see Avatar: Fire and Ash. It was good. It didn't really break the Avatar mold or anything, but it kept the world building going. It's crazy to think that this was my daughter's favorite movie as a child, and now she's an adult, and we are still heading to the theater to watch it for 3+ hours. That being said, it didn't feel drawn out or anything. It was a speedy 3 hours. I do wish they pushed the biomes a bit. This was very much part 2 of the watery world stuff. There was a volcano area that was barely shown, and the industrial city was also not really explored. So lots of diving in the water with submarines and whales. Also I'm pretty sure the creatures for the Abyss showed up in this thing. But yeah, if you liked Avatar, more of the same. If you didn't, this certainly won't change your mind.
  7. Hello, So in both Grounded and Grounded 2 we all see them all over the place when enter Ominet facilities. It would be nice if we can collect some of those coffee mugs and display them at our bases. While I have that in thought, why can't we have a display for all the trinkets that we find in our adventure instead of throwing them in a chest. I may be asking too much here but it would be cool to have a few plates at our kitchen table. I hope the Creators will think on this. Anyway, I am having a good time playing both Grounded and Grounded 2. You guys are doing GREAT!!!!! Thank you
  8. Xbox series X multiplayer game crashes within minutes of starting, ever since January change. tried on my pc and same thing. Doesn't last long enough for a second player to load in some times.
  9. And third Kombo Challenge finished in MKvsDCU. This time Sonya. And it was pain in the ass trying to figure out the patterns to program the controller, as almost every combo had a pro-move, which made the search for exact frames more time-consuming. It took me almost 5 hours to program my controller and it was far from perfect. Next in line is Shang Tsung, which has from the roster the lowest number of players who were able to perform all of his combos. So I expect to spend as much time on him as on Sonya .

  11. I'd be surprised if russia would pay out anything unless you literally send them his head.
  12. After returning to my ship I noticed VAL did the dialogue introducing the high security box mechanic and even giving me another key, I thought it was odd but then soon realized that all my companions and npc were acting like we were total strangers, repeating dialogue I’ve had before, my last save before this happened was over 6 hours and I really don’t want to lose all that progress, I might continue and hopefully it doesn’t affect much besides immersion or wait for a patch, is there any thing I can do myself besides reverting to a previous save?
  13. Kind of appropriate for Bandera's birth day. You'd have to suspect the timing was deliberate. I very much doubt they got any bounty. For all the talk about fooling the Russians the response from them was very muted. Not sure it even got any official comment at all? and most of the unofficial comment was equivocal about whether he was even dead or not.
  14. "Binding Ability Slots to keys 7, 8, 9, or 0 no longer casts an unintended additional ability from the radial menu." Either this is worded poorly or it doesn't work. None of those keys can be bound.
  15. made our two new years mainstays: pork and sauerkraut hoppin' john black-eyed peas freeze better than hoppin' john, so before we added the rice, we set aside half o' the peas. our family don't particular like black-eyed peas or hoppin' john. as such we got a fair amount o' leftovers. our grandfather became a fan o' pennsylvania dutch style pork and sauerkraut, so our grandmother made it yearly and everybody in our family grew to enjoy the recipe. no leftover pork and sauerkraut. we also made collard greens and cornbread muffins. our clan appreciates our collard greens, but that is 'cause we sauté with 'em with a fair bit o' molasses. genuine southern-style collard greens is too sloppy, wet and bitter for our delicate relatives. in any event, the collard greens and cornbread muffins has vanished. also made a charred cabbage salad which includes hazelnuts, bacon and gargonzola as well as a sweet dijon and vinegar dressing. not a hit with the kids, but the adults liked it. we bought a pie for desert. *shrug* am not a fan o' baking and we already made the cornbread muffins, so... in any event, we do have a fair bit o' black-eyed pea leftovers, which am admitting were part o' the plan from the get-go. HA! Good Fun!
  16. Carbon import tax is already implemented, it comes in effect starting from today. It adds same tax/cost to imported steel, cement, hydrogen, aluminum, fertilizers and electricity which is paid for those products if they are produced in EU via EU's emission trading system. It has been in transitional phase from 2023. During transition phase importers only needed to declare emissions and buy Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) certificate. Producers in EU also lose their free CO2 allowances and now they need to pay for each CO2 ton they produce. EU parliament and commission are looking to extend hard cut deadline for combustion engines, so that there would be no total ban for combustion engines in 2035, because of lobbying from European car manufactures. Current plan is to allow production of new combustion engines after 2035, but they need to use renewable fuel or hydrogen. Renewable energy become cheaper today compared to energy produced by fossil fuel, because energy producers using fossil fuel lost their free CO2 allowances. Renewable Energy Financing Mechanism (RENEWFM) is the largest EU financial aid tool for building new energy production.
  17. There is a mod makes Serafen Trickster/Beguiler its perfect. I don't know about Xoti, single class priest is decent enough.
  18. Goal 9/2025 achieved December 31, 17:45 – Finally, I was able to have few hours long session for finishing XCOM: Enemy Unknown from GOG. I wanted to finish few more achievements before finishing the game (Including one rare for mind-controlling an Ethereal), so I have postponed the last mission for a while. Before the last mission. After I have filled out all of my check-boxes and some crafting, I've entered the Gollop Chamber with one of my Psionic trained soldiers. The contact with the Hive Mind was successful and I've entered the Temple Ship. With that I have also unlocked last Slingshot DLC achievement, as one member of my party was Shaojie Zhang, whom I've befriended long time ago in "Low Places". The last mission felt a little bit easier than some of the basic missions. Maybe due to me trying to be as cautious as possible. The game as a whole was real gem for me and worth the time spent on it, although I had my "reservations" about the alien spawn mechanic. As it was my first playthrough, I've made many mistakes, which cost me few soldiers, but on Normal difficulty it was manageable to redeem them. 45 hours in total. Not much time this year to play a lot of games, so hopefully a little bit more time will be available next year
  19. AlphaFold is specialized AI model, which was the norm before LLM and other generative models took over the market. Amount of memory and processing time it needs to run is much lower than what the generic generative models need. Models like AlphaFold will not save AI bubble from bursting because they don't need those trillions of dollars worth of hardware, that has caused the bubble to form.
  20. So apparently White Rex is alive, it was a fake to scam the bounty on him. Bit weird, and shame that racist POS still lives
  21. eu want to implement carbon import tax while giving up on renewable energy and ev are they delusional hypocritical or desperate
  22. I just wrapped a fun BPM & CP Triple Crown playthrough with a custom party, and it's left me hankering to play through again with companions and really try to lean into their unique classes/items. Elric's fixes in BPM for Xoti's Monk Subclass and Serafen's Cipher subclass work great in terms of balancing them with the smallest number of changes. I've found myself with slightly different desires/goals, though, and was hoping to gather some feedback on some proposed solutions. For both Xoti and Serafen, I wanted to not only update their subclasses, but also their weapons and armor, so that they could be used throughout an entire playthrough. Ideally, the changes would make sense as a package, and point to a general playstyle for each that feels thematic and balanced. Xoti Add: Sister of the Reaping Moon gains Reaping Moon Style: while you have a shield equipped, gain bonus accuracy (+15) and damage (+50%) against Near Death enemies. This focuses the playstyle around killing blows and makes sense of the buckler proficiency, starting items, and flavor text (A monastic order of Gaun, the reaping aspect of Eothas, Sisters of the Reaping Moon are most effective against opponents who are already at death's door.) It feels somewhat balanced, in that it's still worse for raw damage compared to any other monk subclass, but makes shield oriented builds more fun. Tuotilo's Palm is already so good, and this is an indirect buff to it, so I'm not 100% sold on this implementation, but I'm stumped on how to encourage the "with shield or with buckler" playstyle without making it better. Change: Resource Gain mechanic: gain +3 wounds on kill > gain +2 wounds, +2 Mortification on kill. The "worse at wounds, but then better if you can get lots of killing blows" playstyle falls flat, in my opinion, while the mortification gain from the lantern was always a unique and interesting flavor when compared to the other subclasses. I'm eager to try this out and see if it breaks anything, and if the balance of always worse at wounds, but better at mortification is fun. I'd love feedback here. Change: Lantern enchants: Holy Radiance: +2 Restoration, Inspiration PL > 4m Aura (include self): +% healing received (scales with religion) The +PL was always a little odd to me, given Xoti's spell list (she get's exactly 1 bonus spell with one those keywords). I'm not locked in on the healing received, but it feels like the safest effect here. I'm open to suggestions, but want to have it be an aura, so that it has more resonance with the quest upgrade enchant. Soulkeeper: Gain +1 of each Monk resource on kill > gain +1 PL until the end of the encounter on kill, stacks twice This effect might be too strong, esp. b/c it applies to the priest side as well, but I never liked the way the item only half-functioned if you were single class. Easy to tune. Could also replace with another stacking buff on kill. Change: Sickle enchants: Soul Reaper: +5% sickle Damage until combat end on scoring Kill (stacks 4 times) (increases with Religion skill) > +5% sickle Damage until combat end on scoring Kill (stacks 4 times) (increases with Religion skill); +1 penetration with sickle attacks. Change: Spiritual Weapon (Gaun): Added Soul Reaper enchant to the summoned weapon. Bit of an oddity to have the lantern enchants carry over, but not the sickle ones. Change: Vestments of Gaun: Made this unique so the quality can be upgraded. Added an enchant to make it more competitive for both priest and monk. Sacred Duty: reduced recovery that scales with religion. -1% per skill point. (I've tinkered with this a little, but I think this is the cleanest) Serafen Add: Wild Temper passive: gain bonus damage and penetration with AoE attacks. Currently this is a scaling bonus to damage (a la Sneak attack) and a flat +1 to pen. It applies to all AoE attacks, making Serafen a good candidate to keep his beloved hand mortars. It also makes Serafen the best companion to pick up Explosives as a skill. I'm not sure what the right amount of bonus is here, so I'd appreciate feedback in terms of relative balance. I really wanted something to incentivize play that caused the maximum number of wild mind procs, while actually offsetting the risk/reward. @thelee has made a strong case multiple times that randomness favors enemies, and that there needs to be a stronger benefit to offset, even if there are "great" outcomes from the random events. I also really like that this pushes an AoE damage niche rather than AoE debuff play that Beguiler. I also like how it synergizes with Barbarian in theme and mechanic, benefitting Carnage and Spirit Tornado in a Witch Build, offering unique benefit. I turned Miscast back to Friendly Fire to balance things, but kept Elric's awesome "always miscast on an empowered cast" feature. That little bit of control feels really great and enables some fun play. I like the idea of dropping Serafen into the enemy backline as a psychic bomb. Sometimes you get some collateral damage. Change: Serafen's Padded Mail: Made this unique so the quality can be upgraded. Changed it to be padded armor (per the description), but added some bonus armor back to it. More fitting for a mid-range caster, and usable for the whole game. Concealed Chain: +1 crush, pierce, slash AR Crow's Nest Comforts: +2 freeze AR, +2 shock AR I'd love any feedback on these from folks who have thought through ways to improve these characters/items in a balanced way. Thanks!
  23. Got some chitlins simmering in a pot on the grill. I'm not allowed to make them inside.
