Could this be the first Kickstarter fail by someone who is considered to be 'big' in the industry... Oh and no Peter, people aren't pledging because they want to see the game, they're not pledging because they don't bloody trust you!

I wouldn't count them out yet. Y'know how these Kickstarters tend to rev up in the last few days. It's gone up quite a bit in the past 16 hours. They still need 46k in 63 hours or so...could make it. Not that I don't agree with the reason why it's not, perhaps, getting a lot more funding pledges. :biggrin:

Actually it was more like extra 3 months, I think it was supposed to release in the spring. Feargus said he didn't know what happened, but at the time it was reported that Republic Commando was supposed to be the big LA Christmas release, but since that was what they were betting on and since it couldn't be ready in time they delayed it and pulled K2 in to take its place at Christmas.

I'd presume it was the same time as the EuroXBox and PC version actually were released, ie the following February.

They're clearly going to make it. I just hope people realize that the PC & Mac versions will just be lazy ports of the tablet and phone versions.

I don't "know" that, but it wouldn't surprise me I suppose. I decided not to pledge to it anyway...it's one that's better to wait for a review or something first.

Kirby's Adventure is being sold for $600.

 

True, the game is better than modern triple-lame games can ever aspire to be, but that's pushing it a bit.

Riot Games is issueing "pro-active" refunds.

Kinda wierd comming home and getting a surprise-refund for something you never remotely considered requiring one for.

Anyone knows the new Zombie MMO game The War Z? No? No matter, neither did I until a huge crapstorm erupted when it got released by steam yesterday. Apparently it was advertised as something it quite wasn't. There also are funny rumors flying about, such as how they randomly ban people, who have enough hours played, and hope they will buy the game again, and plan to make as much money in 6 months and then take the money and run :p

Steam also just took the game out from there:

 

From time to time a mistake can be made and one was made by prematurely issuing a copy of War Z for sale via Steam. We apologize for this and have temporary removed the sale offering of the title until we have time to work with the developer and have confidence in a new build. Those who purchase the game and wish to continue playing it via Steam may do so. Those who purchased the title via Steam and are unhappy with what they received may seek a refund by creating a ticket at our support site here.

 

Again, we apologize any inconvenience.

The press release notes that THQ's foreign studios are not included in the agreement, which includes Relic Entertainment (Warhammer, Company of Heroes) and THQ Montreal, where Patrice Désilets is currently working on an unannounced project.

I'm not sure precisely. I think it's due to how social media stuff is now getting integrated with other websites and whatnot. Occasionally I see links that have a rogue "/!/" in it, and the only thing I have noticed is that I only see it if it's picking up on my Facebook or something, and it often isn't necessary as part of the link (and can cause issues).

I don't see any difference in blockable scripts between the two links, but I use NoScript. There's no difference in blockable scripts that I can initially see (some scripts don't show up in NoScript until you allow another one first). Does have facebook-com (not facebook-net) as one tho. ... maybe scripts have nothing to do with what you're seeing tho.

Humble Indie Bundle 7 is out. I have every game apart from Snapshot, also InXile just gave me The Bard's Tale I already have, so it's been disappointing for me, but if you haven't checked them out now is the time. Closure is one of the best games I've ever played. Haven't played Shank 2 but the first one was good.

Very nice of them :) I don't own the game and haven't played it before either. This Steam version also includes the original classic trilogy btw -- not sure if that's true for all versions of the game out there, so it might be interesting for people who already own it.

The game is no longer buyable on Steam. Sergey Titov, the guy who's done all the interviews now has the dubious honor of having the worst critic reviewed game on metacritic(Big Rigs) AND lowest user scored game(WarZ). Poor guy.
