Wasn't a big fan, but it is kind of catchy and it suits the trailer I suppose. People were mainly complaining it wasn't cyberpunky enough..so I guess they wanted some Daft Punk or something. Eh.

Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra

There's a bullet hits her corset thing too, so I think her torso's gone as well.

Of course there's the flip side of the argument where they could extol the virtues of technological immortality, throughout time the best and brightest of humanity has fallen to the tyranny of the flesh, time has taken far more than the most cruel conqueror. Perhaps they'll highlight that aspect as a counterbalance to the cyberpsychosis. Keep everything nicely ambiguous.

Technological immortality could only be achieved by uploading your brain onto a analog device, which would always beg the question of whether the person is the same as before.

If they upgraded the body to be immortal and still left the brain intact or build around it, then the subject would still be subject to neurological decay. Which would defeat the purpose of maintaining the greatest minds since they become obsolete due to the rapid advances in technology.

I'd say the answer to that question is kind of like the answer to "who's the sucker in this poker game?"*

I believe there was a Netrunner who successfully did this back in Cyberpunk 2020, in fact I think you get a glimpse of a poster of her in the trailer. As I remember the technology was stolen from her and subverted, it has most likely been refined over the fifty years since. Think her name was Kat or Kit, major npc in Night City. But I agree that it's possible the bullet proof lady might well have no organic parts, simply be a mind downloaded onto a robotic platform.

Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.

I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin.

Not the music, it's the lyrics and the voice, it's so bad it's offensive.

Yeah Lady Gaga or Rihanna would fit much better...

The new DmC: Devil May Cry is getting some pretty good reviews. Never played any of the Capcom made games of the series before, but I really liked Ninja's Enslaved so perhaps there's a little sleeper hit.

I hope it bombs.

1.13 killed off Ja2.

I hope it doesn't. Haven't played it yet, but gettin' it after reading some pretty positive impressions by people I trust.

Despite Taneem's bull****ing, people are giving Ninja Theory WAY too much crap. Especially because they seem to have done their best in improving what they usually suck at. (Gameplay) Something I respect on any developer.

Why do you want it to bomb?

I played Dead Rising 2 by Capcom, the game was brilliant but hard. So I'll try DmC

Probably because Ninja Theory has been insufferable and pretentious for all development and the game hasn't been developed in-house. Going from the demo and the streams, it seems like an okay action game with a story that takes itself way too seriously despite being just as bad as the first 3 games, and some really impressive art here and there (though monster and character designs are kinda so-so imo).

I'll probably grab it at a Steam sale.

Okay, thanks. I did some research after my question, I saw the video for DmC involving a fight in a night club. I thought it looked good, but I am not a very good judge of action games. I am easily pleased.

I wish some games would have a story as "bad" as 3's. :p Edited by Oner

If there was a little more humility from the guy, I think I'd be more positive. But he talks about the game as if it's going to be the best story in gaming. Meanwhile it's dredging up more "be a complete **** to look cool" scenes that people thought were stupid when they heard about it from Enslaved.

Spoiler warning before the spoiler. You probably shouldn't read this under any circumstance.

So Dante and Virgil have this pregnant demon/succubus hostage. And they're using it for a prisoner exchange. During the exchange, Virgil shoots it in the stomach to kill the baby, then shoots it in the head.

I don't think I'm being oversensitive in being dumbfounded here.

I wouldn't call Taneem all of Ninja Theory.

I wouldn't call Chris Avellone all of Obsidian, but when he makes statements for a game, people will more or less take them as something "Obsidian" said. For that matter, though, the same kind of attitude has more or less been present in all the press outings of the title, even the ones from CAPCOM and not Ninja Theory. Granted, if the PR was obnoxious as hell but the game great it wouldn't matter much. But the game.. isn't great. It's competent. *

* Based on what I've played and seen at least. I haven't played the complete game, so there might be some brilliant sections later on.

Honestly that type of thing doesn't concern me, its not even human?

Well then its great that we're not *people* and know better!

Also the second bolded part is a matter of taste. Seen quite a bit of people who actually think its great (not reviewers).

That however, naturally depends on one's definition of great.

Would have to play it in context to give a definitive opinion so far on the narrative so far, but from what I've seen its.... ok. *Meh* probably overall. Certainly worse than their previous outings (except certain parts of Enslaved) and nowhere near Heavenly Sword (which is probably attributable to Rhianna Prachett)

Which is a bit disappointing considering I really enjoyed Pigsy's perfect ten. (Taneem probably taking too much creative control?)
