Serrano
Sorry you're having so many problems with it Tale. Is the multiplayer working okay at least, I've only given it a quick go so far but it looks as atmospheric as the single player game but in a very different way. Tale
Haven't touched multiplayer. And this is the first problem I've had. Tried to load my older saves and they won't load. The load dialogue completes, but the level itself won't load. 2nd oldest save loaded indefinitely until I quit game. Oldest save (of 3) loaded for a long time then froze. I've either got dying hardware or something really screwy going on with profiles/saves here. I think I'll play a different game tomorrow and see how it goes. Got a level out of Extraction without problems, but that's not going to tell me too much. Edited January 30, 2011 by Tale "Show me a man who "plays fair" and I'll show you a very talented cheater." Kaftan Barlast
Im on chapter 5 or maybe 6 and NOTHING has happened yet. Its just and endless row of "go to A and Ill tell you all about everything... oh wait, youll have to go through B first.." I've noticed this so far as well, but I'm only through a good portion of chapter 3. The combat is decent because of the weapons and stasis and the game does look good, but I really hope they start to institute something new to the equation. But I will say that the environments do look really nice.
Malcador
Still more EVE, should find a nice single player game. Maybe will try to finish Borderlands' Claptrap DLC Also, very handy guide to things to do in EVE Why has elegance found so little following? Nightshape
Who played the bulletstorm demo? I wasn't impressed, looked nice enough, but for the most part... Caca! I came up with Crate 3.0 technology. Crate 4.0 - we shall just have to wait and see.Down and out on the Solomani RimNow the Spinward Marches don't look so GRIM! Starwars
Finished The Shadowbroker DLC. By far the best ME2 DLC. Also finished Overlord and Kasumi. Those were also good, but Kasumi's mission was very short. I think we might see someone from the Overlord DLC as a companion(pure speculation) in ME3. I haven't played the Kasumi one but I was incredibly disappointed in the Shadowbroker DLC after hearing so many good things about it. Waaaay too drawn out with its combat (though I guess that goes for most everything Bioware) and the Shadow Broker himself was just... wow, incredibly lame. Really expected more from it. Overlord was also way too drawn out but the final setpiece was really nicely done. On-topic... Not really playing anything at the moment. Morgoth
Am thinking of picking up Dawn of War 2 and Chaos Rising. Any thoughts from RTS fans here? If you're only into singleplayer only get Chaos Rising (it's standalone). If you're into multiplayer get both. Rain makes everything better. Tale
Am thinking of picking up Dawn of War 2 and Chaos Rising. Any thoughts from RTS fans here? It's good, but I have a hard time getting into the campaign. I have, for some reason, pre-ordered Retribution. Calax
It's a very specific style of game that's pretty fun over all, problem with the "vanilla" campaign is that at a certain point you can actually start getting into a cycle of repeatable missions because you don't realize mission X is what you need to progress the story. Also it can get a bit boring because there's like a total of four maps per world that you play again... and again... and again.... Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! pmp10
Am thinking of picking up Dawn of War 2 and Chaos Rising. Any thoughts from RTS fans here? If you are interested in multiplayer you may want to wait until Retribution is out. Besides Retribution should have a multiplayer beta very soon. I'd wait to see the game in action. They must have changed that, when I played DOW2 that I got in the Gold Edition, there wasn't that much repetition of missions and I got weird changes like random insertion points and boss locations. Considering that, as is, the DLC was pretty close to the max allowed by MS on the X360, I think they did manage to strike a pretty good balance between actual content and "drawing out" with the combat. The sequence on the outside of the ship runs on a bit too long, IMO, but I'm willing to go through it as it probably shut up at least a couple of thousand of loud stopwatch gamers. Calax
When I last played it the maps usually had like three spots for insertion and bosses and then the two industrial points. As to the plot thing, there's a point where it's kind of "gather X, do y, and find Z" and at that point you can end up finding a dozen or so random missions that keep spawning that you're not sure if they fulfill your objectives. sorophx
The idea of bringing a poor team up from the lower leagues just sounds tooooo appealing haha. man, I still cherish the memories! I mean, taking Leyton Orient through 3 divisions, winning the Premier League the first year, winning the champion's league and scoring a domestic hat-trick in the second year, and all that without reloads was so satisfying! Playing Champions: Return to Arms I couldn't get into that game, the boss fights seemed very badly balanced and sometimes just plain unfair, and after going through 4 worlds it got really boring. meh. but since it's one of the few co-op games on PS2 I'm going to be returning to it eventually Walsingham said: I was struggling to understand ths until I noticed you are from Finland. And having been educated solely by mkreku in this respect I am convinced that Finland essentially IS the wh40k universe.
Malcador
Will have to replay DOW2, but seemed I got a lot less filler missions than before in the Gold Edition (or whichever patch made the effective change). Not very hard to identify the missions that are your objectives though "Prime Gene Sample", etc. Why has elegance found so little following?
