with 2.0 you should guys try Per in place of Dex. You will be slower but more dmg and effects will go through. Less grazes, more crits, more interrupts. I think it may shift to Int,Might,Per instead

Ah true true looked at 7pm and thought 17:00 instead of 19:00 ;p Well. Perfect. Just when I get home and it'll download quickly.
-
What? You're downloading SRHK ? How? Don't have the option on steam yet.
-
Depends on difficulty but guesstimating based on DF I would say 25-35h.

I was very bored of DA:I after 26h i got rid of it for another game . D:OS beaten, WL2 beaten, don;t care about dead state, Shadows of Mordor beaten. First battle in DF is quite easy, stick to cover and wait, then run away Cover is single most important thing for survival in SR. Idd. Dragonfall DC is leaps and bounds above Returns but Returns was severely limited so I don't blame them knowing the reasons for that. HK, I hope, will take it to another level.

Soooooo guys!! Less than 4 hours till release! Thought about main companions you would be rolling with or about a main ? I will make mage my main this time around (no mage companion). SRR rigger and SRDF was samurai and then decker SRHK mage I like everyone from the description maybe except Duncan Wu. Ricter, Is0bel, Red Samurai (Gaichu?) and Gobbet look interesting :D

Difficulty should be a function of difficulty settings, not of self-restrictions that only players with extensive metagame knowledge know they should impose on themselves. Excusing imbalances on the grounds that, "you don't have to use it if you don't want to," fundamentally misunderstands why imbalances are problematic: they make characters' abilities difficult to predict for both players and developers. Swinginess is no different. It takes the kind of predictability you want in a game, and punches it in the face. Except people are not equal. What one considers difficult another may consider too easy. How do you please then ? Also self restricting is a good thing for many. Look at Dark Souls player base and Bloodborne. There have been naked-speed runs already :>

I always give my melee guys Lore 6-8. Always. MAkes them so much better when they can fan of flames/moonwell/paralysis/+all defenses and other stuff. My dps dudes like barb/rogue/druid also get 6+ survival (trying how it does in 2.0) since some potion/food effects become really long with it. Especially Heal over Time potions are decent and pots that are 30-45+ in dur pre-survi.

What Raven said. Specifically, Con went from 3% health/endurance per point to 5%. It doesn't surprise me if you're still making do in a full party where your non-tanks have low Con, their health/endurance will just be a bit lower than before. Not enough to make them fall over when sneezed on though, so it's still a matter of personal preference. I don't have tanks Only casters are PC Druid focused on shifting and Merc Priest. Though rogue with 8 deflection kinda rolls over sometimes but but damage she does oh boy :D I also like going pale elves often but liking borean dwarfs as well. I find +15 Acc vs primordial and wildlings very useful. As for Cipher I would rank Int>Might>Dex. Longer effects, longer cc, might gives more dmg and so on. On druid Int + Might is really good because DOT spells scale with both might for +dmg and duration with int (which adds more dmg, Autumn's Rot (?) Lv2 does over 100 dmg for me non crit at lvl 4)

Least Liked Companions
Killyox replied to Primislas's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Tbh I look whether or not character is interesting and how it's written than whether or not I like him. Durance is annoying and wouldn't mind setting him on fire but he's a good character still. Maybe the best even. -
I see most people miss a certain thing about this. It's optional. Don't use it if you think it will make game too easy or w/e. Nothing complex about this. I know I won't use them if they make game too easy. On the other hand hey! You can out more into Condition and other stats because of added power XD

what change did they make in 2.0 to CON? Playing PotD atm in Beta 2.0 with Eder, PC Druid, Merc Barb, Merc Rogue, Merc Ranger, Merc Priest and thus far it's easy. Except Eder and Barb everyone else has con ~3-8. Sure, they do get sometimes kncokedout but that's no biggie since I end up winning fights anyways. Party on hard. For several reasons, I never finished the game so far, despite all kind memories of Baldurs Gate and the original Dragon Age (hoping for 2.0. to fix a few things). So I'm a relative noob. Everything works on hard and i mean EVERYTHING. That's because hard is not hard at all

Depends Most of the time I use Savage Attack modal. For example in 2.0 beta I made druid with high might/int/per and going with him melee way since spiritshift is very good in 2.0 (huge dmg on claws) so with that for example I go +elemental dmg for spiritshift form (up to 45%) and since claws have natural DR 5 redux and Acc increased with levels I take Savage Attack for additional 20% dmg and since it counts as barehanded/dual wield I got for Two Weapons Style + peasant (unarmed, staff, etc). He's not the most accurate but he's a big hitter so even his grazes hurt and when he hits normals they rip foes apart:D So with above example I took savage attack but rogue might want vulnerable attack if he fights with stilettos which have -5 built in for a total of -10 afaik.

Offensive Fghter
Killyox replied to evilcat's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Offensive fighters work really well tbh. Have Lore 6-8, Might*, Dex, Int**. Two Weapons Style, Passive 20% grazes to hits min dmg +20%, Armored Grace, +2 weapons that have graze-to-hit. Then specialize in weapons you wish to use. take Savage Attack modal +bloodbath (is that the english name?). With that you have very strong single target and high deflection is not a problem due to graze-to-hit conversion. For AoE, Buffs, Attacks and so on you have scrolls. *warriors can actually deal very good dmg without might at all due to their skills having flat modifiers but it's still useful for scroll usage. **scrolls AoE size, buff/debuff duration In Path of the Damned graze-to-hit matters:P- 13 replies

I have 1 rule or maybe 2. I don't minmax/cheese and I always make chars I can RP with through the story and make different decisions. So I never ever take 3 in a stat. Quite honestly the most I would reduce most of the time is 8. Maybe for Barbarians more in some stats but that's about it. I don't minmax with races/classes or cheese with abilities. I do try to make good teams but not to cheese through. Next play for 2.0 I want to make more hmm Living Lands party. Druid, barb, rogue/hunter. Maybe monk or something.

Killyox replied to Andvare's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Wanna bet? Sure. So... http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/81079-the-white-march-expansion-price-revealed-15-per-part-25-for-both/ Thank you for placing your bet, unfortunately the house wins You kinda lost that bet. You wanted to bet with person who said that KS backers will get both parts. And that is true.
