  1. Only on Flames of Devotion which is meh anyways. Far better skills/talents to take than his. Monk does a lot better job with Swift Strikes + Lightning strikes (attack speed and 25% lightning dmg) Torment's Reach (+50% Crush dmg) + Turning Wheel (up to 50% fire dmg). Paladin is a whole lot better (actually very good) at being a support.
  2. They are balanced. Simply some people can't play them.
  3. They never disengage my barb and monk because otherwise they get brutalized. Sometimes they may ignore pallegina but she also hits hard. Tbh I am not bothered if they beeline for my wizard or anything. Million counters to that.
  4. On a side note his version of fireball is amazing. Fast, damaging and with paralyze. I did some combos doing ninball fireball ninball fireball etc and wiped some otherwise hard enemies. Cc and burst damage in one.
  5. 1) Lore 2) Mechanics 3) Stealth 4) Atlethics 5) Survival Lore is the best all around to have as it increases your options a lot. Mechanics is good enough. It's ok if you have it on 1 char. I have it on 2 and sometimes place 2 traps + Priest seal for a deadly combo. Stealth because next 2 are pretty useless Atlethics ~2 for casters but can go higher if first 2-3 are high/not needed. Survi, pretty useless. Maybe if they buffed it to do double what it does now. Or maybe scale effects too so duration + intensity. PS You don't NEED mechanics expert. It's just good to have one. Not sure if people noticed but 95% traps are visible without anything. You just need to look for it, like a strange hole on the wall looking like it can shoot arrows, or strange panel on the ground. There are many telltales of traps being there :>
  6. It's overrated. In the grand scheme of things this is tiny. Priest has very good heals and protections. Characters with Lore can use AoE healing Scrolls which become very good + suspend afflictions from rings. PAladins can get Greater Lay on Hands which is pretty fantastic as well as that Heal that jumps between allies healing on every jump. Most likely you will take anything but these
  7. Greenstone Staff is terrible for Monk ;P probably same with Druid etc. Unlocking it is also TERRIBLE. You have to physically deliver the last hit with the staff itself. If you use monk skills that do full attack and they score killing blow it does not count. Which is.... stupid. As for the best weapon? Saber - Resolution with Durgan Steel. +15% Attack Speed, 20% graze-to-hit, 20% hit-to-crit, +80% crit dmg. Devil of Caroc 1h + shield does 90-100 dmg per hit Pike - Tall Grass with Durgan Steel, huge reach, 30% hit-to-crit, +15% attack speed, Crits can inflict prone. Best on Barbarian. Prone everywhere. St. Ydwen SB weap - due to Vessel Desctruction that is amazing on a barbarian My top picks tbh.
  8. You paladin will not be nr 1 damage anyway. I use pallegina 2h with grey sleeper but so far she is more valuable using her active class skills and item skills while barb monk and rogue do the killing. And since this is not an mmo there is no reason to look just for DPS. My 1h + shield DoC does ~100 dmg per hit. Had her dual wield but it was actually worse since my Resolution sabre has graze-to-hit (20%), hit-to-crit (20%) and +80% more crit dmg as well as +15% attack speed (durgan's steel upgrade). Pallegina has The Grey Sleeper which is awesome when it procs Darguls or Twin Boulders but well, she is awesome for other reasons XD +10 acc when attacking the same target is not as useful as it sounds. I find it close to useless myself.
  9. Actually it was something from outside, below ground that invaded them that was at least 2x as big as the biggest ogres. When you read desc of their steel soldiers you see they were ripped apart like toys
  10. So yeah, not sure if I finished WM Part 1 or what. Does it end with White Forge or what? Is there any follow up or none at all ??? Such a cliffhanger with what wiped them dwarf. Did I miss something ?
  11. I scored these hits on some monks xD It was crazy that some of them got ~100-120 dmg each
  12. Erm... is it normal for it to hit each enemy like 5 times ? My FPS dropped to like 5 when I used it on bigger pack of enemies and it almost wiped them O_O (POTD)
  13. I will be very disappointed if they don't bring some retro fix in case you already killed tons of them
  14. tl:dr play what you like and how you like You don't need to dump ANYTHING for POTD and even on POTD companions are perfectly viable. Take stats however you like. If you don't want to dump then don't it will be just as good.
  15. I like to dump intellect and add to resolve for the following reasons: 1.) My will save stays the same with 3 intellect and 17 resolve as with 10 and 10 2.) Dialogue for high resolve is better for a bad ass rogue. I'm more of a thug then a quick witted dashing swashbuckler type. 3.) Concentration and deflection are always useful 4.) A Rogue does not have any AoE so nothing lost here. 5.) A Rogue has a few duration based abilities but there loss is acceptable. I take crippling strike for the two full attacks at +25% not for a longer hobble. Deep Wounds has the timer reset each time you hit so a short duration makes no difference as long as you keep hitting the same target. Maybe a ranged rogue gets use out of shooting everyone once to let the poison do its thing but as a melee rogue I attack and kill them one after another. 6. My skills will be mechanics, stealth, athletics and whatever left in lore. I'll need to avoid using scrolls with durations but that is easily accomplished. My one concern is that the prone on crit effect from Tall Grass might be too small. In that case I'll just have to pick a different weapon Fighters can also benefit from trading intellect for resolve. With the new duration on their passive regen I at first thought that dumping intellect would be terrible but after further analysis I think it is still a fine way to build a fighter. The passive regen would last 58 seconds instead of 90 seconds. This won't really make a difference as the effect is so weak anyway you won't be able to tell. Knockdown goes from 5 seconds to 3.5 seconds, which is not great but it is worth it for +21 concentration and +7 deflection. The best defensive talent is vigorous defense which lasts 9.8 seconds instead of 15 seconds. Again not great but I'd rather have +7 deflection all the time and -13 deflection for 5.2 seconds per fight. You can always give rogue lore and spell scrolls. For example Warrior's Confident Aim applies to spells he casts from scrolls so grazes -> hits I wonder if rogues attacks on blinded, flanked etc chars would also give +50%. Haven't had a rogue in party (as a permanent member) yet . Only for short periods.
  16. More interested in Living Lands. But I have nothing against Vailian Cloak & Dagger campaign with lots of cutthtroat politics. If Vailian Pallegina could be an interesting link. If Ixamitl then Zahua. Preferably none and we get new and improved companions with a lot more interaction. TBH POE lacked situations that you have to pay consequences for your decisions. In BG2 depending on who you had in party some quests could turn out differently depending wheter they were good or evil and what you did. I think this should return to make the game and especially characters more believable.
  17. You don't need pure tanks (POTD 2.0) 2H barb, 2H Pallegina, DW fist zahua. Not one of them is made for tank. Back line Hiravias, Durance, PC Wiz. NO ONE has hold the line Would be too easy I actually will rather pick 40% and 20% heal due to running more out of health than spells/abilities in long fights. it's 10x better to spread damage around then having 1 dude pummeled by everyone because it's a lot easier to heal with aoe spells. Barb(Tall Grass) has his HOT, Pallegina(The Grey Sleeper) is an offensive/support mix. She has Greater Lay on Hands but also all bonuses to her special attack + mark enemy + one skill that gets up downed ally (really good if any of my guys get downed since all are valuable). Zahua(Fists yo!) just obliterated single targets but he also has these gloes that have druid illness spell and that aoe dot. Tbh I am pretty happy with my party and have a great trouble thinking who to dump to play some more with DoC when I get her. This is the party I would gladly play with in White March P2 (hope they add barb Comp). PS Don't play with Eng version so I don't remember exact spell names.
  18. I dunno. That dragon critted all of my lvl 9 dudes for 230-250 and insta downed 5 out of 6 guys xD
  19. The point of the area is to provide challenge to ma lvl chars so no, I don't think there is xD
  20. Tbh I got all on passive with defending when attacked and sometimes turn it off Much prefered by me. But even I did notice it few times.
  21. Mechanics. Depends on whether or not you got someone with high mechanics. Doesn't matter. Wizard, Cipher, Druid are the best.
  22. Sure it isnt +acc on prone? Because for example The Grey Sleeper has +15 accuracy on paralyze effect when it occurs.
  23. Eder: slashing/corrosive saber (forgot name) + shield // pistol Durance: arquebus // hatchet + highest def shield Hiravias: Rod + whatever XD Main: Rod,scepter and w/e, mostly rods with on hit effects due to blast :> Pallegina: Estoc The Grey Sleeper Merc Barb: Tall Grass // 2h sword Zahua: fists/crossbow
