  1. 2 Fighters with Lore 6 (8 if going for moon well scrolls), Cipher, Druid, Priest, X
  2. Fan of Flames does not proc Carnage. Rolling Flame, Lightning and so on also don't. Apparently only Shocking Grasp. Maybe Touch attacks only if you can somehow get them.
  3. Nvm, I got my answer from Shocking Grasp... 11 Hits from a spell that does 3 hits (1 hit + 2 jumps). Enjoy Does it get Carnage on spell casts (from scrolls with Lore) ? Carnage only procs on effects and attacks that count as melee in the game's coding. Then Shocking Grasp apparently counts as melee. Gonna test the rest.
  4. Except OP makes 1 huge mistake on his part. One Stands Alone DOES NOT increases dmg by 20%. It increases dmg by 20!. Flat +20 dmg bonus. NOT %. Source: buff next to portrait when active + combat log testing
  5. I repaired it fully and upgraded yet i got no achi which is strange;p
  6. I wish to point out that Rogue can solo POTD. So definitely a top class too. Give fighter LORE and scrolls like paralyze, fan of flames, shocking grasp. I guarentee he will wipe stuff on his own a lot of times.
  7. Fighter is definitely top tier as well. Make DW Fighter with high Lore and have him use Shocking Grasp sCrolls, Fireballs, Moonwell and Paralyze scrolls. Combine this with high defense and nasty single target dmg from DW. Monk is "Good" with AoE dmg upon Getting hit. I had decimated entire groups with this passive. Put on him good DR and throw him in mid of enemies. You will see 15-30 aoe dmg flying Rapidly. I had 3 bears attack my monk and he did 15 hits from that Pain thing (simultaneously). So every bear got hit 15 times for 15-30. Every class is decent. As for Chanters... I find them meh atm because I finish most fights before one gets to 3 charges to use his stuff so duh.
  8. Sort of a bump but "one against all" or w/e is english name is VERY VERY VERY VERY powerful. It gives +20 dmg (!) when you are fighting vs 2-3 foes. With carnage it gets crazy. It's +20 dmg, not +20% dmg. So with DW high Might/Con build it's nasty. I did 70 dmg crits with starter weapon (also had Wild Attack modal on and Frenzy) On a side note, pure tank builds are not really needed at all
  9. Fog takes the trophy though - no friendly fire Cipher -Mental Binding -Mind Blades -Mind Wave (use it to knock grp of enemies and have rest of your guys drop aoe on them while they got -def) -Mind Lance (friendly fire makes it NOT the most OP spell in the game. If it had no FF then it would be #1 spell in the entire game. Seriously) These are the top candidates if Mind Echo would be easier to setup it would be right there at #1 spot. Druid: Lv1 spells Sunbeam and Talons are better than lv2 spells like sunburst. In general druid is very good and has many good spells (and some really **** spells) Honorable mention - Rot Skulls. Aoe heavy dmg autoattack with insane dot :D me like. Wizard Icey Fog Fan of Flames Slicken Would also mention Shocking Grasp IF it was as strong as Scroll. Why was Wiz one nerfed? Priest Lv2 AoE spell to pause all negative effects. One of the best spells in the game (as fasr as defense goes. Saved my ass vs Nalrend the Wise)
  10. You can, but swapping does take time, the delay between swap -> knockdown means it's not a great defensive tool in a pinch. It also takes a weapon set away, and some players may swap between two different defensive sets(I did). My eder is 1h. He has 95 deflection without shield which van be boosted higher with Vigorous Defense. ~90 accuracy too. On hard Shield is not really needed. Tbh pure tank is not needed at all if you play around with good CC like stunned/paralyzed/ or debuffs like blind/terrified. As for DPS melee make Rogue or Barb. I had my bar hit with Barbaric blow 6x 100+ all the mobs in the pack. Looked a bit silly when all 6 of them died instantly. Not too high deflection but with good armor + passives he can "tank' a lot.
  11. Give them Lore and have them Fan of Flame + Shocking Grasp enemies - especially good with talents like "Scion of Flame" For some strange reason Shocking Grasp Scroll does ~2,5x more dmg than actual mage spell (mage spell is weake r than in BB) I had my Fighter Shocking Grasp for 110 dmg
  12. IMO game just has many gamebreaking bugs and is easy regardless of class if you play with normal party @hard. Even for casters when their Lv1-2 spells become per/encounter there is almost no reason to use higher lvl spells. As for chanter he is only good for Reload + blunderbuss cipher nad himself with arquebus. Other than that I found him useless. Most fights end when he has 2 charges and long fights he gets to 4 uses a skill single time aaaaaand that's it. Too slow or others too fast. Priest and Mage spells are mostly boring/bad unlike Druid. Cipher is very strong even without blunderbuss. Normal pistol is OK too. He has some very useless spells but he has some very nice gems in there as well. Paladin is very good imo especially with Per Encounter "revive" and 2pE buff that pauses debuffs on target ally/self. You confuse Might with Strength. Might doesn't have to be physical attribute at all. Also some choices do affect what you get but that's ok. Doesn't matter much at all though. Unless you are playing Triple Crown (I advice against it with current bugs) then you don't need to maximize your chars to be able to beat it. Not even POTD requries it. PS Barbarian's massacre is amazing So is any Warrior/Barb/Melee char with Lore and access to scrolls. Tank with stuff like fan of flames is pretty sweet:D
  13. The game has so mane gamebreaking bugs right now that I am seriously surprised that Somehow I got to Nalrand the Wise without major bugs and I play on 2 saves. Perma Dots, perma sickness and so on is really nasty. Had to reload so many many times to unbreak char status :S. Now I am either stuck with permanent sickness or reload before I kill nalrand which wasn't easy fight with perma Insect Plague/swam
  14. I'm wearing medium armor and I'm fine.
  15. Had easier time discovering it myself because i dropped from lvl 2 instantly to lvl 5 boss fight and then had to backtrack through levels up instead down :D
  16. Isn't part of the rpg to bear consequences of your actions and go with the flow ? I am tempted to start another game but for other reasons (different perspective)
  17. Tbh I really dislike recovery penalty on armor. A LOT.
  18. Trolls are an exception, in this game. They have one defense (Fortitude) which is extremely high, while all the others are low. MOST enemies in the game aren't like this. Meaning that for MOST enemies in the game, Noxious Burst is simply a much better version of Fireball. Unless I were walking into a Troll-themed dungeon, I wouldn't even bother altering my spellbook. Not to mention that Fan of Flames also targets Reflex and deals fire damage, but also deals MORE damage and over a bigger area. Untrue. Source: Bestiary & Combat Log. Add in the fact that different spells can reduce different stats. Mushroom monsters have very very low Deflection for example. Trolls are not an exception. For example it's far easier for my Cipher to AoE reduce reflex with Mental Binding and follow up with Fireball from Aloth than it is with Fortitude and Noxious Blast. Ogre Matron Def 61 Fort 84 Ref 58 Will 62 Forest Troll Def 31 Fort 66 Ref 26 Will 13 Dank Spore Def 19 Fort 61 Ref 20 Will 35 Flame Blight Def 42 Fort 43 Ref 61 Will 34 Phantom Def 60 Fort 45 Ref 61 Will 64 So as you can see there are many monsters that have certain defenses a lot lower than others and that is not limited to Reflex and Fortitude but Deflection and Will as well. So point stands. You would use Fireball instead of Noxious Blast where it's better. and 10-20 pts difference in stats is HUGE. it's like bonus accuracy to hit/crit instead of miss/graze. In case of Dank Spore with my Cipher I prefer Mind Blades to anything else because of how easy it is to crit with it (MB attacks deflection) On trolls Fireball with my mage etc. Fan of Flames vs Fireball Fireball's speed is "Fast" vs "average" of FoF (Noxious Blast is also "Average" speed). Fireball has 10m range + 2,5m radius base (3,74m for my aloth) vs melee range + 5m base cone. It's pretty much depending on which you need more. Fireball is a lot easier to place than FoF. I myself like the fact that just because I can now use Fireball it does not make FoF useless which happened in IE games where low lvl spells became useless in most part.
  19. I just checked my Eder but everything seems to be in order Eder naked & unbuffed @6th lvl Acc 45, Def 59, Fort 69, Ref 54, Will 67, HP 661, End 133, DR 0, Might 16, Con 16, Dex 11, Per 11, Int 13, Res 13 VS his geared stats + modal ON Acc 51, Def 106, Fort 84, Ref 71, Will 84, HP 661, End 133, DR 10, Might 16, Con 16, Dex 11, Per 12, Int 13, Res 14 My PC is also the same as when I made him so apparently I avoided the bug. Look at your defensive stats. If they are over 80+ it's possibly the stats bug some guys are talking about. It's very very easy to get defensive stats 80+ for a tank.
  20. Fireball is weirdly weak (and pointless) in this game. Fan of Flames, a level one spell, deals 40-55 base damage. Fireball, a level THREE spell, deals only 25-35 base damage. I really don't know why you would ever use Fireball when Noxious Burst exists. It's also a level three spell, but deals more damage AND sickens anyone caught in the blast. Because Fireball targets Reflex and Noxious Burst targets Fortitude. Use spells that target opponents weakest defense. GL with Noxious on enemies with 80-90 Fortitude. For example. Trolls have weak DR to Fire, weak Reflex and high Fortitude. Fireball vs Noxious, Fireball wins here by a long shot. Xaurip have good Fire DR, weak Fortitude and quite high Reflex. Obvious winner here is Noxious. Use what is best against enemy you are fighting against. Sort of. Resting did not help with the loss of spells due to buffs because few of them lasted long enough to persist post-rest so you would just end up casting them again -- this was in fact one of the disincentives for resting. PoE goes to the other extreme: resting is very restricted and you have few spells and the opportunity cost is high. Thus far I rest very rarely. Often finding more supplies while I am already capped 2/2. Very often my mage has still ~40% of his spells (same with priest) when I rest because party has Major Fatigue. Thus far the spell that sees the most use for my mage is AoE Blindness.
  21. Prebuffing was one of the worst things in IE games.
  22. Use bestiary to see Lvl. Also no, it's not really needed. In life you have to plan and account for unknown as well.
