  1. Man of Steel
  2. Good list. Aces High would have made my Iron Maiden list.
  3. Well here's hoping for a soft landing for you.
  4. Yeah, whats up Mal? New career? House? Girlfriend?
  5. My understanding of the complaints Ive read are not that you can craft a Common Barrel Sword but that the crafted weapon will eventually outpace found weapons, enchantment wise, and obviate found equipment. For me, durability is just another schlep back to the shop. Nothing actually breaks until reaching zero so maybe it wont be so bad. Consumables are probably where most of my money will go. Hook a brother up with a Health potion recipe and Ill stay broke just on that one consumable.
  6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-yBc8txHaA Hehe, we have them too. Here's a traffic cop busting a move.
  7. No, you also have to travel somewhere every ~5-7 fights to fix stuff. I sure hope my stronghold is nice, I have a feeling Im going to be spending a lot of time there resting and repairing.
  8. As described in post #1, repairs cannot be performed "in the field", only at Forges or Vendors. Also, inventory has no weight so you should be able to carry every conceivable material required to repair, make potions and cook food/drinks.
  9. Don't forget, repairs can only be performed at Forges or Vendors, so you will have lots of exciting travel every 106 weapon swings or hits taken.
  10. I would counter this by saying; lets assume gear uses a 100% scale. Assuming players stay on the critical path they will encounter mooks that are within +/- 1-2 levels, which means they will land 95% of their attacks. If every attack/defense degrades armor/weapons by 1 point then I feel "repairs" will become quite the frequent and expensive endeavor. Especially as player progress to more expensive gear.
  11. Sorry, I don't follow. Your original point was that resting is similar to cooldowns, which I agree with, and then asks what benefits are there to resting, which I provided an example of. Please clarify. I don't know how frequently other people rested in their games but in mine I used that setting that was something like "rest until fully healed" so there were times when multiple "days" went by.
  12. Cool, sounds like WoW's system. Hopefully the devs are smart enough to take another cue from WoW and make the food and drinks adjust themselves to provide the key benefit to whichever class uses them. It will be a pita to have to make 6 versions of everything.
  13. Meta gaming definitely isn't a concern of the devs, they're selling us the book after all.
  14. I guess the Crafting skill becomes a de facto default choice for front liners.
  15. Amen brother (sister). I just hope the suck parts don't drive me from the game.
  16. Intelligence directly influences how many spells and how high of a spell level could be achieved.
  17. Huh? There were 10 on-use abilities available to the warrior pool in BG2.
  18. Rafael Correa: we helped Snowden by mistake.
  19. If you would like to create a new thread I would be happy to move these posts to it.
  20. Oh, were they super strong zombies also? Most zombies are no stronger or faster than normal humans.
  21. ^Is there any explanation for the zombie "hive mind"?
  22. Perhaps you missed the part where Im talking about Health. Everyone knows how Stamina will work (just like Health in other games). And nobody retreats forward, that's stupid. You retreat back to the places you've already cleared and to known rest locations.
  23. Ah, now I get you. Yes of course "healing" is an absolute must have while in combat, that's standard fare for (almost) every RPG ever. We know this will be a combat-centric game so what Im talking about is the death by 1000 cuts. The times when you will literally be at full Stamina and still be 1-2 hits away from death due to low Health. And Health being so pigeon holed as to having only one (seemingly pita) mechanic to restore it.
