  1. TGIF! I plan on getting liquored up and chasing the missus around.
  2. My cats are named Bob (short for SpongeBob Squarepants) and Bailey and both answer to their names.
  3. Must be scraping the bottom of the idea barrel to necro an almost three year old thread to whine butthurt about a war that's over.
  4. I had an orange cat named Milo. No blue cats, yet. Reservoir Dogs
  5. My bad. I associated "extremely high AC character" with high level characters but I suppose there may be some way to acquire the best gear and stats at low/medium levels.
  6. I cant recall a single instance of that happening ToB (high level campaign) but its been a long time since I played it. By the time you have a high AC you generally also had an equivalent weapon to overcome enemy high AC. Can you give me an example of your experience with a flurry of misses at high level?
  7. I suppose that's possible. Ive never played a game where I (mostly) couldn't miss but I cant imagine I would have done anything different in the IE games based on a (mostly) static 95% chance to cause damage. Of course you have to pay attention to AoO and other positional issues but that's been in games since ToEE so nothing new there.
  8. And chance get bigger if you go against opponets above of your level. But this will probably only occur if you go off the critical path. Remove "chance"? Absolutely. It will have no impact on tactics as far as I can see.
  9. Beautiful. Im impressed with the amount of detail I can see on the characters.
  10. Just remember, you lose a party member and they are gone forever. You will have to replace them with a NPC from the Adventurers Hall and they wont have banter/quests/personality.
  11. That's how I remember DA, no real death unless the whole party is defeated. But are you sure you can't die in PE, that concerns me IIRC, death in PE only occurs with certain option boxes checked, otherwise you take a knee except in cases of a TPW. I know Ironman offers permadeath and only 1 save that will self delete but I think the one setting down from that (Trial of Iron?) also offers death but you can reload. There is no resurrection magic in PE so death is permanent.
  12. Again, never played the DA franchise, but didn't health used to autoregen after each encounter and you couldn't really die (just take a knee), like they are now doing in PE? I wonder why they changed that model. Can you die now in DA?
  13. I know what its called, I'm just wondering what caused it, never had speed wobble before. Since you felt it was a mechanical problem I assumed you weren't aware of the phenomenon. Simply clicking those two underlined words will provide you with various causes.
  14. Since we have unlimited inventory, I vote for an auto loot system that just sucks up everything thing around you as you walk past it.
  15. Disabilities, like Health loss, can only be repaired by resting. You cant critically miss either.
  16. That's called a speed wobble.
  17. There is no resurrection in PE at all. In normal mode you cant die. When you get to zero health you will just take a knee and when the battle is over you will pop tall but with some disability.
  18. Having to constantly switch weapons is a founding principal of PE combat. An entire mechanic has been created to play rock/paper/scissor regarding weapon type vs. armor type.
  19. Stamina is in a constant state of regeneration anyway so we can probably just stand that party member in the corner for a few rounds after the "crash" and all will be well, bad guys permitting. And Morgulon the Wise makes a good point, a up-and-fighting NPC is more important.
  20. I needed external motivation. I loved smoking but Im not getting any younger and I want to be around to watch my daughter grow up. Looking back Im glad I did, but if not for her I would most likely never quit.
  21. I quit cold turkey ~4 years ago.
  22. Playing SRR, this has become a sore spot for me. According to HBS, saving anywhere is expensive and time consuming so I would advocate for Obsidian to create and install the save game mechanic first and foremost before their coffers go dry. A 20-30 hour game using the SRR save system is libel to send me on a tri-state destruction spree.
  23. Wasn't DA2 a product of "data mining" DAO? Or am I thinking of the ME series?
  24. I put on my robe and wizard hat....whoops, wrong thread. Seriously though, I like the concept of a "lost and confused" opening sequence.
