  1. There are several on youtube. I believe there is one of v 480 too.
  2. Conan the Barbarian is in. They knew many people will roll one
  3. What I mostly look forward in Pillars is the roleplay. It's very promising and if it's done right we'll probably have the best roleplay in a video game so far.
  4. My opinion is I already have a job irl so screw that - let's go adventuring!
  5. I gave it a lot though lately and I've come to this: it'll take 99 hours, 26 minutes and 11 seconds for a completionist to finish the game. I'm 99,99% sure and I can link you my equation if you don't believe me.
  6. Also, regarding Adventurers VS Companions, I believe Companions will win the fight
  7. Very nice music, but very boring to listen to it outside the game
  8. I've noticed I haven't recieved e-mail when a new update was up for several updates now. Is this common to everyone? Obsidial always used to sent me e-mail when they had a new update.
  9. People are mor the party animal type in this world, so they don;t like to sit when in a bar; they prefere to stand and walking around with their drink talking to random people. There. Immersion problem solved
  10. https://instagram.com/p/0IwsuZpxx2/ (Upper row, middle portrait) Naughty devs... You knew many people would roll a Conan the Barbarian, eh?
  11. @Luckmann Screenshot portaits in Wasteland 2 is optional. It is a good thing to have this option if no portrait suits you. I'd like it to be in PoE too.
  12. Ok, here's the solution to your problem OP (also discussed 2 years ago). Grab four 6-sided dice. Roll them on your desk six times (removing the lowest roll each time), thus generating your random numbers. Here you go! Match each number to a stat and you're ready to play Pillars of Eternity with a rolling mechanic
  13. Good thing with Wasteland 2 was that you could have a close-up screenshot of your character as a character portrait so you could have a portrait identical to your character. Unfortunately this feature is not present here. Too bad also because the character models in PoE are way better that Wasteland 2. Of course you can make your character look like some of the portraits at least.
  14. This is nice. Reminds me of Warhammer armybooks
  15. We'll find out soon enough. I say we all have a timer on the side, starting it when we start play and pausing it when the game loads or when we go to the toilet, answer the phoce etc. Then come back here on by one when we finish it and post in the "official playtime time" thread our playtime, in days, hours, minutes and seconds
  16. This looks awsome! It's the closest to an adventurer (not extreme-gear super fighter nor kitch 80's warrior) I've ever seen in a video game so far!
  17. Hmmm Obsidial always makes long games. I can't think of a game made by Obsidian that wasn't long. Like very long. I think you can rest asured that this isn't gonna be a short game. I would expect of 70-80+ hours on normal difficulty. This is my minimum standard for an rpg to be considered long and I think they'll hit the mark as they always did
  18. Well I guess you'll have to try and see for yourself After all noone is good at any game by birth. It's not in one's DNA. As you play you get used to the game and you become better. Eventually you become good enough to the extend you want - if you play in easy you'll become good at easy etc - and be able to finish it. Unless the devs have done something broken with the scaling of the difficulty, I don't think one cannot finish a game he or she likes
  19. The game looks beautiful and the combat looks very fun. Haven't seen a party based game with tactical combat that looked so fun for long time. Oh, D:OS was fun. Ok apart from that
  20. Does the character models looked better than the lates beta or is just me?
  21. This is mostly done by Bioware, but it's not always as that. I believe in Mass Effect 2 and the last Dragon Age games, although the companions have their secrets to be unveiled and *might* want your help, they also interact with your problems too. With Mask of The Betrayer and New Vegas pretty much happens what Sluffsy describes. If you have good writers, plenty of time and you basically know what's going on in the world, you make good companions (and good factions)
