  1. If you want to get informed about the game, just take a look in these forums here. Only people interested in Pillars write here. Also, internet conversation is the easyest way for bad people to say bad things, exploiting anonimity and distance; something they never would have done in a face-to-face conversation. If you see a forum is working this way, just stay out of it. I don't believe there's much you can do about it by posting things in there. Write a well pointed fak you and goodbeye post and find a place more meaningful for you to participate into.
  2. Go and have fun with other people who are goind to be there for the event. Since you live a few minutes away, if you feel you're not having fun, just go back home and play the game
  3. Same here. I haven't got update e-mail from obsidian for seeeeeeveral months now. Everything I learn is from forum lurking and twitter
  4. I am very excited to play this game. I wasn't that excited since WoW european launch in 2005. But I've never cancelled a party or a good event with friends over a game and I wouldn't do it if it was something planned for tomorrow either. Love games, but they come third after social and political events for me. But nothing of those is happening tomorrow, so I just can't wait!
  5. I'll have a realease day event right here in my desk playing the game
  6. Haven't seen the OP's linked videos, but: The problem is the fad about streaming and youtubing imo. Many people with enough money and time to kill buy games that they heard about due to the momentary hype and show off themselves playing them. Most of the time they have no idea what they are going to play; they just start the game and "whatever". One, then, wants to check out about a game, say before they buy it, and falls into numerous failed playthroughs stuffed with misinformation. Sometimes I catch myself watching a game for the first time and understanding more that the person who's playing it. That's BS.
  7. Maybe this'll help you out http://www.rinkworks.com/namegen/
  8. Has anyone ever wondered about all that undergound races in Faerun being dark instead of pale? I mean, it makes no sense.
  9. This is the best part. Noone else has focused on that when describing characetr creation. Most people minmaxing according to recomandation or DnD experience. Nice.
  10. Isn't this the Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS) section of the site? Stop tempting us dammit!
  11. I watched the character creation/test part then I switched it off. Gotta resist I also have noticed many (english-speaking) people having problem to pronounce the word "archipelago". Like they don't know the word. Is it so uncommon?
  12. Fantastic art! Keep it up. Hmm... many custom portait threads hanging around in this forum. Maybe we need a pinned "official custom portraits" thread?
  13. Personally, I'd like to see more and more diverse CNPC:s, rather than necessarily a checklist of classes. The number of CNPC:s in the game is woefully abysmal. Hopefully new, well-integrated CNPC:s will be a priority for expansions and if there's enough of them, they should pretty much cover all the classes by sheer volume. Well, yes, that I would like too. But you can combine great NPC and character classes. I don't believe the game's gonna lack interesting plot and quest related npcs. I just wanted to have a companion of each class so I could check all of them in a single playthrough. I do not complain, though. Just a wish I made when the game was in kickstarter
  14. It would have been nice if there was a companion for each class, but oh, well. Maybe they'll make one or two for the expansion. Btw, Haven't decided yet what I'm gonna play, goddammit! After two years follwoing closely I haven't yet deciaded! All classes and races look very tempting... I'm between a wild orlan druid, a cipher and a non-companion class; maybe barbarian.
  15. Just google "dwarf" or "dwraven rogue" and you'll get plenty. Here I've already done it for you. https://www.google.gr/search?q=dwarven+rogue&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=picPVbPvI5XsaNaQgPAK&ved=0CAcQ_AUoAQ&biw=1680&bih=913#tbm=isch&q=dwarven+rogue&spell=1 Edit: deviant art is another nice site you cen get plety dwarven rogues.
  16. Very nice vids. I've watched many of them already. 50% because I'm a sucker for british accent commentary
  17. You cannot respec... but you surely can respect one!
  18. Maybe they should change the name of the book to "Prima Spoiler Guide"
  19. I'm quite sure that you have to learn about locations (thus revealing them on your map) before you go somewere. Maybe some standard known location will be there from the start (meaning after the prologue) like a village or a grove or something.
  20. Yes, it is known from the first playthrough. That's why many looking forward to roleplay
  21. It all began in February 2015 when I fisrt played Pacman. It just blew my mind! The reactivity and the sence of survival! Should I turn left or right? I must eat so to survive! All that immersed me in a world full of choice and consequences with no return. Then came Bubble Bobble which took those aspects ever further. There you had not only to manage the stick, but laso two buttons! The graphics were way better and you can also play co-op. The sense of survival and reactivity was even greater and the variety of food just made my eyes bleed. Also no save! What a great game! I tried several other games after that but nothing was not even close. Tetris, Super Mario, Street Fighter... nah. Blockbusters. I backed this game because I saw it had a huge variety of consumables that, not only help you stay alive but they replenish your life and give you buffs too!!! Looking forward to try them out!
