The penalty was to compensate the 10 Might when it was a multiplier. It was very good before nerf.

agreed here. turning wheel seems stupidly overpowered. I would prefer iron wheel, but the intellect and damage bonus seem so brokenly good it is a must have. I would go and say even with 25% it is too overpowered. Yeah compare to some passive this is really op, and it works with spells or spell-like abilities.

D) Riposte Bleakwalker/Rogue build with Whipser of the Endless Path. Only pick FoD, LoH, Escape and Blink Strike as active abilities, all rest passive. Stack as many +deflection to disengagement attack talents/gears. Escape into crowd, before it expire, disengage out. You will trigger tons of riposte from rogue passive and the sword. Fun to play with. And pick feisty voice if u are male MC, it's funny to hear when u crit.

Hmmm too bad I select single class ranger for her. I feel unique weapon is better than soulbound in DF because you hare more choices. I don't like that Soulbound weapon is restricted to classes. Now a ranger/wizard only has one soulbound he can use. Same as a paladin/priest. Pretty annoying so i think i will stick to unique ones.

It is funny when I’m reading most thread here, people say Monk is Op, Chanter is Op, paladin, fighter is so tanky so op. But most time they say rogue is good, plus do massive damage. Never heard anyone say rogue is op tho. Maybe cheesy is the new definition of op. But I wouldn’t agree with it. Cheesy is cheesy, op is op. Firewall is very cheesy when u cast at long distance because it doesn’t hostile enemy, but it is absolutely not an op spell.

Problem dear Boeroer, there is also new system of health. In POE1 I used Pet for tank. Best tank of the game because all his health was restored. And at the mid-game end-game, the animal can do HIGH damage with good investment and a chanter. Here in POE2 it is really disapointing. Ranger is not a good choice for multiclass and not even for single class (like you said) For +10 accuracy passive (bond link), you must spend 2 points. It is awful to optimize something. So your evasive fire is OK, but not worth it overall. Stalkers link = 10 acc = 2 points = 10 Perception. Weapon Mastery = 5% damage < 2 Might = 1 point. Who is worse

Hm, can you give me total math for those defenses? Paladin can get max +21 from his passive, Exhoration +20 deflection, Vigurous Defense + Unbreakable. Do you also count gear here and just class passive values? There was a shield that gives u Deflection based on your metaph. SO as crusader u get 21 from faith, 22 from legendary large shield, + 10 from that shield bonus, this already push u to 130 defense at lvl 20. Then fighter has +20 vigorous defense. 150. I didn't count Resolve bonus yet.

I've thinking about this for a while and I think this worth a thread to discuss. So we know in PoE 1/2 d100 system, Accuracy has a diminishing gain while Defense has a incremental gain. This result our build to be either 3 Resolve or 20 Resolve. I don't wanna talk about the problem of deflection here, but make an alternative fix for the problem. So in both PoE 1 and 2, we can build a paladin or fighter with super high deflection. Like over 160+ all defense. Part of this is due to the high deflection we get from shield. Like in PoE 2 there is a large unique shield gives u 30+ deflection. This just make them immortal in the game. Powerful but boring to play with. So I'm thinking if we can change shield so it gives resistance than deflection, like small shield grants 10% resistance, medium 15%, large 20%. I know a lot tank fans will disapprove this suggestion because this makes the tank less tanky. But this can make shield good for anyone, not just for tanks. Even if you are a barb with 30 end-game deflection, you can still benefit from the shield resistance. While in the current system, nobody with low deflection gonna bother with shield because it doesn't help that much, position and CC seems to be a better solution for them. And this also make deflection less OP with these tank builds, but still a viable choice to increase their surviability. And they make have other trait to get more resistance too.
