I hate the idea that skills are tied to combat. I remember in the very beginning of PoE 1 Josh said something like skill and talent should be two different part. Skill should not improve combat performance or we will pick them based on their combat potential instead of role playing. But then later they gives second winds to athletics, gives accuracy bonus to survive, which totally ruined this. I thought in DF this will change since they depart active skill and passive skill, but it seems i'm wrong I have to pick history because it is tied to a cloak that +defense based on your history level, or pick intimidate because there is a breastplate tied to it...

Haha yeah I think it make sense we can motivate ourself too. This is an issue for soloing when u are excluded from half of your abilities, which is the main reason i avoid a single class paladin.

- per/acc items - weapon modals (harder to pull off and requires some micro) - Insightful buff - spell combos (debuffs, followed by nukes) - target lowest saving throw. turning off Expert will show you which is lowest - Alchemy>Deadeye drug - just cast more spells (grimoire of volatile wizardry) I mean, basically, stacking. It's the basics of understanding rpg systems - look at everything that matters and stack until you get results. There is a sabre that gives u a stackable accuracy when u hit, literally u can stack unlimited accuracy with it (yes it has no cap, and u can use it before combat). It is really broken when combine the sabre with charge/cleave as it also has a trait to ignore recovery time for 3 sec.

I agree. Making your own character remember terrible things sounds like a great debuff. Valorous Echoes : The cipher bring echos of an ally's past lives to the surface, inspiring the ally who greater feats of heroism. Pain Block : Provides an ally with a mental block on their pain Nothing terrible about these spells. Someone capable to control mind sould be able to exerce same level of control on themself. It could be a early passive that unlock it, why not. I don't think that would break the balance. The problem is when you multiclass you loose the ability to buff the other class. the point pf MC isn't to be versatil and combine two roles together? Another way, just rework wild leech to not be random, or add a similar ability(ies) that mimick valorous echoes/pain block as debuff/self buff. If a cipher are allowed to buff himself. A paladin should be too. I demand to use Exhortation on myself.

The Spirit Lance works in the same way as Carnage in the first game: It applies all on-hit effects to its AoE. If you use Soul Annihilation with Citzal's Spirit Lance, the damage from the ability will affect all creatures caught in the lance's AoE, and it will generate Focus from the damage inflicted on all said creatures. It's just one of many possible cheesy uses of Citzal's Spirit Lance. This brightens things up.. so i just have to take a class with good on-hit effects and my spirit lance would be viable for my PotD run? Are there any other good on-hit spells which would apply here, from other classes? Maybe use Monk stunning attack as it will stun in AOE. Rogue shadow step only work with main target tho. (Among the very few nerf they did in beta)
