Games you want that'll likely never exist
lolaldanee replied to Barothmuk's topic in Computer and Console
A Total War game that actually combines all the good features of all the Total War games, and has a map much larger than they have now, and with a lot more provinces and it has to be fully modable -
The best of the Eternity
lolaldanee replied to Cyseal's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
Liked a lot the opening hour of the game, all the great vibes of those past games have been here at once Also the Ending is FAN TAS TIC, the whole philosophical dialog about how gods are not real and what it means is one of the best moments in gaming -

Paradox Interactive Acquires White Wolf Publishing
lolaldanee replied to nathler's topic in Computer and Console
ok, now i am soooooooooooo hyped..... btw, i think requiem is mechanically superior (quite a bit actually) to masquerade, but the latter just has this whole cool backstory and metaplot that i like a lot, somehow the old version just had more "soul" in i a way, can't help it -
Twin Elms
lolaldanee replied to beanyboy57's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
no, cead nua has nothing to do with the rest of the game at all, you need to finish the main quest in defiance bay to progress to act3 then the water in one area will lower, and you can pass it -
Backer Beta Build 480 Portraits

they are completely awesome! -
I don't hate Joe or anything, but you're talking about the guy who complained endlessly because in Alpha Protocol he kept missing when shooting with a pistol from long distance without realising it was a shor/medium range weapon and that the shooting mechanics relied heavily on stats.... Maybe he has improved since then, though. There's also a good argument to be made that the shooting mechanics in AP were terrible and the presentation of the game gave completely the wrong impression about how much player ability factored in. I thought that the reactivity in that game made it great, I'll never knock someone for criticising the gameplay, it's a pretty much justified complaint. yea, as a game AP sucked pretty hard in may aspects, as a story it shines so brightly

true, the problem is: this is not the case in PoE - it might be, if there were new talents at every level up, then 12 levels might be enough to fully customize a character, but like this, i feel it is lacking! especially in such a loooooooooooooong game as this one, and level 12 is something you will only see if you complete all the content in the game i guess, so for most people lvl 10 or 11 should be the end anyway but i will judge the final game

Male or Female
lolaldanee replied to constantine's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
i am male, but i am going to play female, as i do most of the time usually it's for the reason that i like female voice actors better -
Hear hear! I love how the general consensus is that the more abundant/complex your head-hair situation, the more unkempt you inherently are. A) Someone can be JUST as lacking in hygiene without a fancy Franz Josef or anything else. B) Any amount of hygiene/grooming you do is amplified by the Amount_Of_Hair modifier and the Complexity_Of_Style modifier. I've just got basic, longer-ish hair, for a guy, and I can tell you it takes like 30 more minutes a day JUST to keep it nice and clean and untangled. And I don't even have any kind of fancy-ish style going on. So, I just love it when people see facial hair/long hair and assume "Oh, you're lazy." No, if I was lazy, there'd be a bird living in the giant knot of hair on my head, and my beard hairs would be 17 different lengths and would be creeping all over my face. Counseling firm? Sounds more like a counseling rigid! 6_u haha, got long hair to (but actually i AM lazy about it ) i can totally relate to that :D the beard is called franz josef because of the austrian emperor, it's so funny to think what had been the pride of an emperor and the envy of many men 100 years ago, is a problem today haha

It is easy to fix if slider is made that allows everyone to adjust slow factor to their liking. good idea, somewhere in the options this should be available

Any word on when more zones will be available to test?
lolaldanee replied to knightguy's topic in Backer Beta Discussion
Holy moley... a 25 euro demo... what is this? EA? As I, too, care more for the plot than some combat mechanics I obviously not paid for that... well, it was pretty obvious from the start that beta acces always was going to be a experience of limitied enjoyment, it should always be seen as kind of a little bonus and treat for those who gave a lot of money for these kind of projects to have the most fun with the game one needs to wait untill a few months after release anyway
