  1. http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/176749-warner-bros-plans-a-dungeons-a-dragons-reboot Warner Brothers rebooting Dungeons and Dragons. I wish someone would do either Dragonlance or some sort of Forgotten Realms movie instead of a generic D&D movie. Dragonlance with a Lord of the Rings budget would be epic.
  2. So now that the mechanic side of monks are out of the way, can we get a blurb on monks lore-wise? Reasons for the berzerker mechanics, their role in society, etc?
  3. Dyrwood was originally a colony of Aedyr right? wouldn't their cultural styles be closer to Aedyran(or whatnot)? Or is that more of the style of the indegenous Glanfathans and we would still see a lot of Aedyr style clothing among the upper classes and such?
  4. It helps that it was only 15 bucks too. People are willing to take a risk on that, not so much on 60 bucks.
  5. From a couple weeks back. Pretty much the highlight of my life so far.
  6. Mine was a criminal case, but I was able to get an exemption because I would have been unable to pay rent or buy groceries if I did it.
  7. A few weeks back I got a jury summons. They wanted me for 20 days at 20 bucks a day, which is like a 1200 dollar pay cut. So I jokingly threw around a few racial slurs about it and a good laugh was had by all. Except one person, who for some reason took the whole thing seriously and is now telling everone she meets how racist I am, which I found out this morning.
  8. Arrow is a CW version of the Nolan Batman films. So angsty drama combined with a gritty take on Green Arrow. I'm enjoying it. Also, if you can get passed a certain characters death in season 5 of Fringe, it really picks up and ends the series nicely.
  9. Its the little things Loeb gets wrong. Like how Venom was killed in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics, so of course he has to use him in Ultimates. But do people react with shock that he's alive? Nope. Run of the mill encounter. Doom goes through a portal to the Zombie universe, but is suddenly on the throne of Latveria with no explaination. Oh and he killed Abomination with a gun. Gee, wish someone had tried shooting him earlier. Could have saved some trouble. But yeah, Slott sounds pretty bad.
  10. When I checked Wikipedia it looked more like Ragnar was basically the Scandinavian Hercules.
  11. Well the one thing Loeb has over Slott based on that is unpredictability. You never know what he's going to screw up next. One of the best things he did was have Captain America alive at the end of one issue, and then dead at the beginning of the next. And not only was he dead, but his soul went to Valhalla. He then fought alongside Thor, who was able to help send him back to his body, and it didn't shake his faith at all. Dude died and went to Valhalla, and is still a christian.
  12. Reading Dance of Dragons finally. Got sick of waiting for the paperback release and bought it from the UK. So far am liking it.
  13. Is he Jeph Loeb bad? Got caught up on what was going on in Ultimate Marvel over the weekend. Some things brought back bad memories of Ultimatum. Ugh, so bad. Yes, lets kill a teleporter with a tidal wave. Magneto can use Mjolnir. Magneto can use magnetism to kill every living cell in Wolverine's body. Blob is now a Cannibal and suddenly ages 15 years. Pyro is now a sadistic rape-loving member of the brotherhood when the issue before he was a loveable member of the X-Men. He can't even keep continuity from one issue to the next. Jeph Loeb is to Marvel what Stephanie Meyer is to Vampires.
  14. http://igg.me/at/BookOfPureEvil/x/3149648 Todd and the Book of Pure Evil is running an indie gogo campaign to finish the series with an animated movie. If you haven't watched it its on Netflix in the US.

  16. I don't see the point of getting a collectors edition if not for the cool stuff in the box. Its not like boxed versions of games really appreciate in value all that much unless they are super rare. That said, he paid for the game, he's not distributing copies, therefore there is nothing wrong with it.
  17. Another semantics issue here, I don't know if it is different in the US, but in canada there is no such thing as illegal downloading. Its not illegal to make use of or obtain a copy, its illegal to provide a copy. So the ones downloading are entirely in the clear, its the ones uploading who are committing a crime. Though I think many who use bittorrent don't realize that just because they don't seed, doesn't mean they aren't uploading.
  18. Squeenix, Capcom, Konami, etc. I wish Konami would get off their asses and do another Suikoden.
  19. John Shea's Lex while not fitting physically, was an excellent portrayal. He's no Clancy Brown though. Clancy Brown is great in everything he does though.
  20. I have to say the concept art for the Draconians is badass, the 3D model is not so much.
  21. I wish they would get going on digital subscriptions. Paying for 12 issues at once for a small discount and having each issue download automatically when released would be sweet.
  22. I haven't really been keeping up, did they just get like 200k in 2 days?
  23. Its about time the Pawn Stars Network got something history related.
  24. Something bright. Either a star trek-esque utopian sci-fi, or some sort of brightly colored way out there fantasy type game. Something with highly stylized (but not WoW-esque giant pauldrons) armor, fantastic mounts, etc. Like a western Final Fantasy. Or a Steampunk game.
