On this note, New version of Teen Titans coming out, that's more superdeformed/cartoony than the last. Learned that when I went to see GI Joe Retaliation. Honestly? Pretty good flick IMO, self contained, and did what it needed to. Although I could see them releasing an unrated/R version of it, because NOBODY is killed on screen... officially. You do hear the death screams and see people obviously stabbing others who are just out of shot. It is what it wants to be, a popcorn flick to kill a couple hours with over the top action and fun. It's not gonna force you to question anything. Best part is that the main villains actors seemed to have a complete ball with their roles, particularly Jonathan Pryce. The CG Batman show they have coming looks terrible too. Saw GI Joe 2 yesterday. Glad they didn't mention Scarlett dying, so she's free to return in the 3rd. Apparently Jon Chu has ideas on how to do Serpentor. He defititely "gets" GI Joe, so I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully we see the Flagg in the 3rd one. A side note, Joseph Gordon Levitt did a WAY better Cobra Commander voice. The terrible CC voice in there made me want to watch the first one to wash my ears out.

The worst thing about this kind of thing is the people targeted generally apologize despite not needing to, which only encourages the situation.

With the Dark Elf discussion they were talking about actually using Drow, the name, the spider-worship, everything, because its part of D20. I can't pipe in because their forums are having issues with registration, but I'd rather they stick closer to MoM than go closer to D&D. They released an image on their facebook page showing the spell circles. I told them it was stupid to have both Death and Necromancy circles, as well as both Fire and Destruction.

What? First you've heard of it?

Gaiman's run was definitely fantastic. While I enjoyed Sandman, I found I mostly just wanted to read about the endless, the hundreds of little side-stories that had no relevance to the ongoing narrative bugged me. The best thing to come out of Sandman was Lucifer, which is fighting with Transmetropolitan as my favorite Vertigo book.

What will the real name be?
Oerwinde replied to drake heath's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
I think it would be more likely to use some sort of gaelic/celtic rather than Latin, as the region/world is heavily influenced by celtic culture and language. Something like Anamacha Síoraí, which I think roughly translates to Eternal Souls if Google Translate can be relied on. -
Its a goddamned golden age of RPGs thanks to kickstartet.

Ahh, that's right. Its been a while. Playing dark elves right now, but don't have warlocks yet.

I think one thing PE had for it was way better reward tiers, and a better tier system. I haven't really been tempted to up my tier because of the almost random allotment of stuff to the tiers. Like how one tier will have the soundtrack, but the next one up doesn't, but the one above it does, but doesn't have all the novellas that the one before had, etc. The physical tiers are pretty much not worth it at all for international backers, and the digital tiers are just a mess. Example: I pledged for PE at the 140$ level, and I get nearly twice as much stuff as you get at the 250$ level for Torment.

Master of Magic did that too. Some races had Magicians, some Wizards, some Warlocks, but they were all essentially the same. One difference I liked though, was how some races didn't have organized religions, so didn't get priest units, instead they got Shamans, which had lesser requirements but were weaker.

Some of the discussions on the forums are interesting. Looks like they have 4 of the initial 6 races chosen, Humans, dwarves, elves, and undead. The last two are being debated, and seems to be between Goblinoid horde, dark elves, Draconians, or simply cultural offshoots of the first 4. The ideas for the goblinoid horde sounds incredibly interesting, essentially merging Trolls, Orcs, and Gnolls from the original game, and adding goblins to the mix. But with the ability to up and move entire cities. (Population, not buildings)

Looks like they not so much shutting. It down, as merging it with the Asian division.

What will the real name be?

Its hard to think of one when we don't know much of the world or its history, nor much of the plot. From what we know it could be like Memories of Aedyr, or Ashes of Aedyr or something -
We just got it in Canada last year, it was bittersweet watching SymBionic Titan after finding out it got canned in the US like 2 years ago. One of the best cartoons I've seen... ever.

Watched the finale of Green Lantern TAS. Cartoon Network cancelling it just makes me more angry now.

Give us something to spend our loot on. I hate how in most games about 2/3 through the game there is nothing else worth buying, but you get ever increasing amounts of treasure. Even if its stuff like helping a peasant start a business that we most likely wont see come to fruition, but you get some reputation points or something.

Cyprus Financial Crisis, a real collapse possible?
Oerwinde replied to BruceVC's topic in Way Off-Topic
So apparently the conservative government here in Canada has included Cyprus style bank account seizures as part of the new budget as a measure against possible bank failure, and supposedly the EU is adopting it as law as well. -

This made me go look at what Warren Ellis has been doing lately. Since he shut down the Bad Signal I haven't kept up. Seems Freakangels has a big slipcased collection of all 6 volumes I may want to get. I read the first couple issues of Black Summer, will have to snag the trade of that. Its a shame that it seems most of Avatar Press' books have talented writers with lackluster artists. I'd like to see what kind of book Warren Ellis and Ed McGuinness would do together. @Orogun01 What about a book that the stupidity of the characters is the entire point? In that case I recommend Nextwave: Agents of H.A.T.E.

The last few trades I've picked up were Ex Machina, Saga, Fables, and some Atomic Robo. Atomic Robo needs to be an animated series. Its like a science-based comedy Hellboy.

I'm confused... is he "ribs-masher," or "rib-smasher"? Smashing ribs and mashing ribs are two completely different things. u_u I believe his rantings mention smashing ribs, so I would bet Rib-smasher.
