The one with the flag of south park depicting a bunch of white guys lynching a black guy, and the kids not getting what was wrong because they didn't see them as different colors?

Jack, a CBC tv movie based on the life of Jack Layton, a prominent Canadian politician who died shortly after pulling the NDP out of what everyone thought was a perpetual third place position and into the official opposition spot. I liked it, the guy who play Layton did a fantastic job, had his speech patterns and such down pretty much exactly. I do think it painted a slightly too rosy picture of Layton though. It pretty much just gushed about him the whole run time.

The Israelis have warned Russia against supplying them.. blah consequences... blah. If Israel attacks the Russians I don't see it ending well for anyone.

Didn't they reboot from the ground up so nobody is around anymore except the "core" characters? Green Lantern and Batman were their top selling books so they maintained the continuity on those.

Mogo is dead now so the only requirement now is the ability to overcome fear again.

As a side note, the battle flag that most regard as the confederate flag isn't the stars and bars. The first national flag is. Though from what I understand, the battle flag was designed as the national flag but wasn't used because people wanted a similar one to the US flag. Then it caused confusion on the battlefield and by then many regiments and such had adopted the battle flag and because of its popularity it was incorporated into the 2nd national flag.

If they kickstart another Brutal Legend I am there day 1.

I like the premise, but 20 is a little steep for me right now. I haven't recovered from all the other projects I backed yet.

This weeks weekly deal is a telltale bundle. More than the average gets you Walked ng Dead.

Just something that has been bugging me lately. I may be a little out of date, but as far as I know, there are now 5 green lanterns from sector 2814. All of them are from earth. All of them are from the USA. And thats not even counting Alan Scott. What the hell. They even go out of their way to make a Muslim GL, and they make him American. Not Middle Eastern, not Indonesian, no, an American.

I just hope if they use Nova, they use the real one and not that Loeb ****.* Frankly, I bet that Marvel manages to get out a Nova movie before DC gets out a good Green Lantern. Hell they're using Quicksilver before DC is going to use Flash. *yes I know that character is based off his dead son The fact that they are making big budget movies from 4th tier characters shows how much faith Marvel has in their properties. Warners needs to take some more chances and respect their characters. They need a Kevin Feige of their own. Someone who knows the properties and can get the projects on the right track to make good movies while staying true to the characters. Green Lantern wasn't that bad of a movie, but they got Hal Jordan all wrong, and sidelining the rest of the corps was a dumb move.

Its definitely divisive. I really like the design, but even if you ignore the link to slavery, it still represents the idea of the South being distinct and separate from the North. People who claim it is racist need to look at the context too. The abolition of slavery to southerners at the time essentially meant to them the end of their way of life and the complete collapse of their economy. Now looking back I don't believe it did lead to a complete economic collapse, but they didn't know that at the time. Either way, I like the flag, its a nice design. Being Canadian I don't have any of the emotional ties to the civil war and US history though.

So Glenn Close has been cast as the head of the Nova Corps in Guardians of the Galaxy. This says two things. 1) Marvel is still dedicated to getting top notch talent. 2) the effing Nova Corps are in Guardians of the Galaxy.

The games I've put the most time into have all been Paradox titles. Vicky 2, CK2, EU3, etc. I don't think they have that big of a budget

Only when there's a competition over resources, nature is adaptation more than anything else.. and we've come to a point where we can effectively cancel the need for competition out if we truly wanted. Now whether or not we should, is another matter of course. Removing the need for competition removes the need for adaption, which then means we stagnate. Not a good thing.

From what I gathered, sony was taking the same route they did with online play with the PS2. No centralised system, but architecture in place for publishers to use their own system. That way if EA does it, they look like the pricks, not Sony.

I have 10 PC exclusive games coming to me from Kickstarter alone, and that's a tiny sector of upcoming games. Plus pretty much everything Paradox puts out is PC exclusive. Dead? Hardly. Its in better shape than ever.

For myself, PC games and console games are typically the same price today ($60). Having said that, games inevitably come down in price. Is waiting not an option? I think it depends. I am the outspoken console player on these forums (Alpha Protocol rocks on the consoles by the way), but I'd say not much can beat the Steam sales in prices...one big reason to remain a PC gamer is that if you know where to buy, you can get PC games dirt cheap. Reading the moneysaver at Kotaku is an eye opener on prices. When you have things like the Mass Effect Trilogy on for 10-20 bucks, xcom, civ5 and civ4 bundled for 20 bucks, 75% off deals on steam and amazon, etc. Then you see the big deal for PS3 being God of War Ascension for 20% off or whatnot. Winter sale for Steam has half the library on for 50% off and a bunch more for 75% off, XBL Marketplace responds by putting 6-10 games on for 25% off and the selection is essentially just the platinum hits or the Arcade games no one wants. Its definitely good to be a fan of pc gaming. And thats from someone with all 3 of the current gen systems.

That seemed to be the attitude of most backers, hence the change in direction. I think if they had pitched that from the beginning, they would have made more.

Last update said they were changing the vision of the game from what was pitched in the kickstarter to more of a QFG style adventure rpg with painted rather than tile based environments

A friend and I got into RPGs around the same time, me with Heroes Quest(Quest for Glory 1) and him with Bards Tale. I could never get into Bards tale, and that pretty much defined my taste in RPGs. I have a hard time with first person RPGs in general

Made 25 bucka at our complex-wide garage sale so far. We have 35 units in the complex and 6 decided to participate.

Been watching The History of the World on Discovery Worlds, I believe its either a BBC production or co-production, either way I'm enjoying it a lot. I hate that I had to axe eqHD, it was essentially what the History Channel should be, nothing but History and anthropology programming. If I could get the channel by itself I would, but its bundled for 6 bucks with two useless channels.
