  1. I heard even some people who were on the voters roll were turned away from being able to vote for not being registered, almost all of them MDC supporters.
  2. Back-back the **** up. I thought they said no originally? Are you sure it's not a mod? From the paradox newsletter. They're releasing a conversion tool to allow it.
  3. I actually prefer Steam. I've actually bought steam versions of games I already own because its easier than digging out the install discs, and the games install discreetly while I'm doing other stuff.
  4. By the end I wanted to stab someone every time the theme music played. Wow, that is the most famous theme song in the entire Western genre. You might want to question your personal tastes on that one.It was also the only piece of music they played in the entire movie until the very end where they changed it up with ecstasy of gold. The Star Wars theme is pretty damned good, but if that 2 minute piece of music was the only music for the 2 hour runtime and they just kept repeating it, I would probably hate it by the end of the movie too.
  5. Final pre-order bonus for Europa Universalis IV is a copy of Crusader Kings II. Doesn't pretty much everyone who would be buying EUIV already own Crusader Kings II? Cool that you can import your CK2 kingdom into EUIV though.
  6. Can you be Jewish, but not practice Judaism? Can you practice Judasim, but not be Jewish? When someone is described as "Danish" I expect them to be from Denmark. So I find the comparison to be pretty apt. When I hear someone described as Jewish, I expect them to be a practitioner of Judaism. Am I incorrect in this assumption? I have always had the term "Jewish" to Judaism as "Christian" is to Christianity. there's the jewish religion, and the hebrew ethnicity, but the religion and ethnicity are generally interchanged. The names are likely interchangeable because its rare for a Hebrew to not be Jewish, and likewise its rare for a Jew to not be Hebrew.
  7. By the end I wanted to stab someone every time the theme music played.
  8. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I had forgotten there was no subtitles and the baddies run around so quick its hard to target them.
  9. I only got 28 cents off I like how all the stuff I wanted to go on sale durig the summer sale but didn't, went on sale within the next 2 weeks.
  10. Finally started watching Breaking Bad on Netflix, into season 3 so far. Did anyone else want to punch Skyler at this point?
  11. Really? Huh, he was the first melee character I had used and I found his variety of hits pretty useful. He was also a better mage than most of the runners I hired. He was better than that elf guard I brought for an extra bug zapper. I think I'll go decker next run through. I also didn't use many riggers, but I noticed quite a few air ducts for them to take advantage of. I think I mostly got schooled by the combat mechanics with him. He hit with his melee attacks a total of twice, and there were too many bugs hitting people for 1 damage directly after them getting hit for 20 that his healing spells were mostly useless. For someone who supposed to be like thousands of years old with some cool magic sword and such, a 65% chance to hit random cultist #3 seems pretty weak. He was my only character to die and losing him actually made me more efficient in combat. I played a decker, the matrix stuff wasn't bad, but there isn't a lot of it. I found I was almost always 1 point too low in my decking skills to take advantage of stuff too, so make sure its high if you want to make use of it. I'd say thats my one complaint about the game, not enough class/ability related stuff. There's really only 3 or so parts where a decker would come in handy, and any of the points where you need one, one is provided for you. Think I'm going to go with a shaman for my next play. They seem really interesting.
  12. I have been indifferent about Days of Future Past since Matthew Vaughn announced his departure. First Class was so good I was hoping they would use it to reboot the franchise, after Last Stand and Wolverine pooped all over the franchise.
  13. Considerig how much the built up Harlequin, he was pretty useless in combat.
  14. He's at his best when he's vulnerable. Like when Magneto took out his adamantium and then, for a little while before it went nutso, even his healing was reduced. That's what's good in this movie is the vulnerability. Even the part I mention in the spoiler is done well in that respect. Something I hadn't hought of... does his healing factor keep his blood cells from degradig, or is adamantium porous? Because how does his body make new blood cells with his bones coated?
  15. It's tamer than the time he survived a nuclear blast. I seriously dislike the character and the amount of attention it gets. That made me so angry. He was a GD skeleton and still was able to regenerate. I liked how he was handled in the Ultimate comics durig the early run. Got hit by a semi and took the better part of a week to get back to full strength. Emphasizing its a healing factor, not regeneration.
  16. The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games are 75% off right now. No package deal but all 3 together run for about as much as the Gamersgate deal during the Steam Summer Sale.
  17. To be fair though, everything I've heard says DM2 was better than the first, so it may have deserved its money. Grown Ups 2 on the other hand...
  18. Doesn't help that until Shadowrun Returns launches for android, Ouya has no games worth buying.
  19. Didn't realize that until redoing the whole damned thing. Would be nice for them to tell you that.
  20. Ok, hating the save system now. I went into the matrix to ID the Ripper, came out, went back in, came back out, and assumed that since I had switched scenes 4 times, that I was safe to shut down and go make dinner. Booted it up again now and I haven't even gone in the first time.
  21. The reason for that is probably beacause both arms are body parts, so technically when buying an arm you can choose where to put it. Eh, I was still expecting to drag and drop it into the appropriate slot, however. I was expecting it to work like every other store and just click the "+" Anyway, I'm enjoying the hell out of it. I wish it wasn't so linear and I wish we could save properly, but hopefully thats something they can add in in a sequel if this does well. Now that they have the editor and much of the props and models built it should be cake to do a sequel, just a matter of funds. At this point I'd gladly drop another 15-20 on another kickstarter.
  22. Did you read how much money the British monarchy generate for the UK? The tourism thing isn't everything either. The private lands held by the royal family generate hundreds of millions of dollars annually. They then donate the entirety of it to the UK, and their expenses are paid out of that money. The royal family ddoesn't actually cost UK taxpayers a dime.
  23. I'm annoyed they changed the opening credits of the Newsroom. The new ones are boring and the music is bland. I know its nitpicky, but I really liked the theme music for season 1.
  24. My Blood Dragon doesn't work. It loads into the intro movie, and the tracking bar goes back and forth for about 7 minutes and I ctrl-alt-del my way out of the game.
  25. Anyone else bothered that every time you run a new game on steam, it tries to install directx? It would be nice if there was a flag to show whether its installed or not so it can skip that part.
