Nah, first conversation with the guy in the camp who gives you your first mission didn't have subtitles, first person after getting my mission didn't have subtitles, went in to turn them on and no option. Looked online and there was a mod to add subtitles into the game but it doesn't work with the steam version because the dev's locked out the tool they used to add them in in a patch. It wasn't so noticeable the first time I played a couple years back because I had headphones so outside noise was blocked, but now I need to crank it up to hear it over PC/Desk Fan/Kids/Wife/etc.

I hate that subtitles in games are turned off by default and its usually the first thing I do. With Bioware's quest for the ultimate cinematic experience its gotta bug some people that people like me tend to turn on subtitles, read the dialogue, then skip the voice over to move on with the story. Games that don't let me skip the dialogue when I'm done reading tend to get pushed to the side pretty quickly, as do games with no or not very legible subtitles. There have been a few games on Xbox360 that I've put down very shortly because the subtitles weren't readable on a 27 inch TV. Dungeon Siege 3 was one of them. I was super psyched to pick up the STALKER games recently, and stopped playing like 10 minutes in because there were no subtitles.

What we should be doing is aiding refugees and that's about it. Help the people who want no part of it, let the rest kill themselves. As I get older I find I have less tolerance for other cultures, and at this point I would be ok with muslim/arab culture disappearing.

But why would they need to bomb areas that had already been decimated by the Chemical attack? Its not like there are rebels there anymore fighting back. Trust me on this one the Assad regime is behind the usage of Chemical weapons . The question I want to know is " what is Canada planning to do or say about it" ? I hope Harper makes one good decision in his mandate and stays the hell out of it. The choice is between islamic extremists or secular dictatorship, I hope they kill each other off.

The Shadow Cabal, an indie fantasy epic I pledged on Kickstarter. Actually wasn't bad. Some of the effects were cheesy, but it was otherwise visually very good, plot wasn't terrible, and the elf girl did a really good job I thought. Was sometimes jarring to see lord of the rings props though. I think most of Arrowstorm's movies are on Netflix so I imagine this one will hit soon too.

+10 for reading Wild Cards. Really enjoying it so far. Dr Tachyon is a great character. My only issue is how little history deviates with superpowered beings in the world.

He's too old. Miles Morales is like 13.

Yes, I'm sorry that was false. You're given 3 options, not 4.

Affleck has put in more bad performances than good, but he is capable of delivering solid work, so hopefully this will be one of them. My initial reaction was negative, but there have been tons of actors who have turned in solid performances in roles everyone thought they were wrong for. Heck, I think people were mostly disappointed in Heath Ledger's casting as Joker, and look how that turned out. On another note, was anyone able to catch the leaked Guardians of the Galaxy clip from ComicCon before it got taken down? All I was able to see was this: I'm sold.

Agreed, ME2 had a cool ending and the last mission of the game was just one of the best things ever. I see where most of the hate comes from about ME3's ending, but I find it to be really exaggerated. Most people don't like how the choices provided to you at the end are unaffected by all of the choices you've made throughout all three games (which isn't 100% true but close enough). I for one saw this coming. I'm confused? Are you saying that the choices in the previous ME didn't make a difference in the final outcome of the last game? From what I've seen, the complaints stem from the fact that you're always presented with the same four decisions in ME3's ending, regardless of your choices in all of the previous games. And also, there isn't much closure at all after you've made that choice. My problem with the ending is that you're given 4 options, but no matter what you pick you get the same ending with negligible variations

Well one thing with the Steam version is that as far as I know, you buy any version of a game on steam, and it will let you play both mac and linux versions as well if available so no need to get multiplr copies. That might be what they mean when saying multi platform should opt for steam.

I really liked Anders in Awakening, and kept hoping his quest line in DA2 would be to help him be free of Justice so he could go back to being likable again. Unfortunately he went beyond salvation and there was no way to keep him alive without me feeling dirty.

I saw my stacks of dragonlance books on my shelf the other day and wanted to pick them up, but I have like 60 books on my kindle waitig for me that I haven't read yet. Gonna give the Maztica series a go after I'm done with Wild Cards.

Don't forget to tell us how the date went. Well, obviously this is for a woman. But i think you chaps overestimate how hard a souffle is. Modern ovens, and thick glassware make them a doddle. And they are a very good way to deliver a taste kick. You know, in my opinion. What I really need is a system for also dusting some salt-caramel across the top. But i don't thnk that'sppossible without some sort of industrial process and liquid nitrogen. I don't know about dusting, but you could make some salted caramel, then drizzle it on some wax paper and put it in the freezer. When servig pull it out and either break or chop the drizzle and sprinkle it on top

In the Deep Silver one I paid the dollar since I already had the SR3 whole package and didn't care about Dead Island, and I'm dead broke so I'm not passing up games for a buck. Then they added Risen, Metro, and Sacred Citadel and I got all those too, despite them being added to the "pay more than the average" tier. That was pretty sweet.

What gets me in the comments is everyone saying it looks like a combo of DA:O and DA2. Did we play different versions of DA:O? Because I was never zoomed in so my character took up 75% of the screen hitting a roll button so I can come up behind. Hell, I didn't do that in DA2 either.
-
I liked Witcher 2, but its gameplay fit a single character. That gameplay doesn't fit party-based at all. Hopefully the PC experience is closer to DA:O.

We've been really enjoying Broadchurch, and heard they were doing an American version and all I could think was "Broadchurch is in english, with an amazing cast of people that are recognizable stateside, so why would they need to do an American version? Just air the original"

It was necessary, what was Tommy doing when you shot the Coyote? Well, he was growling at the front door downstairs when they first started yapping around the grill. I was by the loft window upstairs. I had it open but I was back in the room about 1 meter from the window so they wouldn't see me. I watched them for about 5 minutes until a really big one came out and started pushing the others around. I figured he was my guy. Once I shot I think tommy went from growling to barking. I'm not sure. My ears are still ringing from firing from inside a small room! Its quite an amazing story, I live in a big city so something like that happening just sounds surreal. Yet this is a reality that you have do deal with. Really interesting when you think of the different lives we live yet we are similar in many ways I could tell similar stories from cities. Except instead of a coyote it was a drunk and stoned guy in his forties, shouting about his ****. And in the Uk we aren't allowed to ping people like that with a .22 We have Coyotes in the parks in Surrey(BC, suburb of Vancouver), that sometimes wander into people's yards and such. Urban raccoons, skunks, and sometimes the occaisional cougar show up too. Usually animal control gets called instead of controlling the animals yourself though, then again not so many people have the means.

Thinly slice some beef and brown it in some taco seasoning. Top them off with that, some sliced or chopped jalapenos, black olives, chopped tomatoes and onions and of course cheese, bake it until the cheese melts and serve with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. End it with some mint ice cream to tone down the onion breath and voila.

Daughter's 5th birthday party. Did her up a Hello Kitty cake last night that turned out pretty good. Place is sweltering and the giant fan I was sitting by just stopped.

Do we know the % of players who killed Anders from Bio's datamining? Because killing him was verysatisfying not because he was gay, but because he was a bad person and deserved to die.

With rape the victim has to live with the event so they suffer for much longer than with murder.
