  1. I think its only 10 bucks on XBL, that's how I got it. Needs 6 gigs of HD space though, and they mean HD space. Got a free 4GB Xbox with my phone plugged in a 16 gig memory stick thinking I could play it off that. Nope.
  2. I happen to agree with you (Mamoulian's post was shorter when I replied) but Microsoft are taking away the standard practice for consumers to be able to share their games with their friends, an option which has been available to people for decades. We own our games a little bit less now because we're more limited with what we can do with them. Microsoft have every right to do that and it's in the best interest of their shareholders but that's little comfort to us and is the other side of the argument. One of the reasons there wasn't such a backlash when PC games switched over to being bound to accounts and machines (but there was one) is because steam and digital sales took everyone by surprise with just how widespread they would become and it happened relativly slowly. Also PC games were effectivly being phased out by retail in favour of the much more profitable console games so digital, bound-only-to-you sales were helping people have access to games rather than limiting them. It's also widely accepted that digital sales can't be allowed to be shared out or swapped or sold 2nd hand otherwise the publishers would literally go out of business. That practice transitioning to physical discs happened slowly, as I recall people were unhappy about it when it was first introduced but we grudgingly accepted it and today most people, myself included, don't care. I imagine it will be a rougher transition for consoles because they're trying to do it all at once, and again, being able to swap and lend out games and rent them from local shops is a decades old practice, people are going to miss that when it's gone (and for good reason) but they will eventually get over it. It still sucks though. I think the main reason there isn't such a backlash over digtal sales being bound is that after sometimes less than a month you can get games on steam and such for 75% off. that's unheard of in the console market. Just looking at the Moneysaver on Kotaku, you'll have $50 pc games on for 15-20 dollars, or $30 games on for $5, but the biggest console sales are $60 games on for $45-50.
  3. There's gong to be a Fable 4? May have jumped the gun. There was an image showing a bunch of the games supposedly to be announced for Xbone and about half in the image have been announced since it leaked. Fable 4 wsas one of them.
  4. I really liked Jade Empire. It was much better on console I found though. I've been hoping for a sequel for some time
  5. Roam sounds close as well
  6. Any word on if Fable 4 is coming to PC? that's really the only Xbone exclusive I'm interested in.
  7. I wasn't a fan of his family being killed in a targetted hit either. The whole point of his origin was that it could have happened to anyone.
  8. The 10 minute short film is better than either of them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0R6QLiNFHd8 Thomas Jane should do everything Punisher for now on. I like the guy from Warzone, but he's no Thomas Jane. I would like to see HBO do Punisher as a series, actually. If Thomas Jane had done War Zone it would have been even better. I just liked War Zone because it did Punisher right. Punisher isn't about long drawn out revenge schemes, he's about a bullet between the eyes.
  9. Punisher: War Zone was my favorite Punisher flick.
  10. I was. IMO that and Knightfall were terribly thought-out gimmicks that are second only to the Spider-Man Clone Saga and OMD/BND in terms of crappiness. Superior Spider-Man might usurp that position if it is allowed to go on too long though. That isn't really saying much... In this case it is. Dredd 3D was great.
  11. Downloaded the trial of State of Decay. I wish there was an option to make the subtitles bigger. Much like Dungeon Siege 3 and Dead Rising I have to sit like a foot from the TV to read them.
  12. The complaint that Superman is overpowered comes from when he was overpowered. When he is faster than the Flash, whats the point of the flash? If he has the intellect of tony stark and a great deal of Kryptonian science knowledge, why does he only punch stuff and build robot servants for the fortress of solitufe? When John Burne toned him down it made him much more interesting.
  13. They've toned him down a lot I think. He isn't silver age can fly in space without breathing, is faster than Flash, and is a genius level scientist all while surviving a nuke anymore.
  14. The original movie had so many flaws its not hard to make a better one, the problem is Warners seems intent on just throwing some stuff together and hoping the name makes it money. Kevin Feige is right, Warners needs to just have faith in the characters and stop trying to mess with it to fit trends, and stay true to the characters. Green Lantern is a perfect example. Luckily this one looks great. Grabbing Zack Snyder helps. I personally hope its true they are looking at him to helm Justice League.
  15. Not sure what I think about Krypton surviving
  16. They also miss out on the conspiracy theories by killing her off. What with Catelyn and Jaime's descriptions of Jeyne Westerling differing causing speculation that the Blackfish replaced her so that Robb's heir would survive. Showing his wife's death rules that theory out.
  17. This, then I'm waiting for Dead State, Banner Saga, PE, Wasteland 2, Torment, Hero U, Worlds of Magic, Roam, Forsaken Fortress, and Mage's Initiation
  18. Damn you Steam. I had Colonization in my wishlist and it was on for $5, but when clicking on it it gave me the option to throw Civ IV, with both expansions on for an extra $2.50, which I already own. I spent the extra 2.50 I might as well get effing Conquistador while I'm spending all my money...
  19. Kickstarter drained me. I was able to preorder EU4, but I'm waiting for the summer sale for Heart of Darkness and The Old Gods, because paying the same I paid for the base game for some DLC is just not something I'm willing to do. I think beyond that Stick of Truth is the only thing left for me this year.
  20. PE was going for realistic, boob plate guides weapons to vital areas rather than deflecting them, hence unrealistic. If it suited the style of the game then that's fine, nut it doesn't.
  21. I've put over 400 hours into EU 3, about 150 into Vicky 2, and about 75 into CK2, the only RPGs I've played that comes close to that is BG2 at about 100 and NWN 2 at about 70.
  22. Milestones are basically a set of requirements a developer has to meet before a publisher hands out further money for development I believe. Usually with time limits I think.
  23. Europa Universalis IV is up for preorder. Hilariously, if you have a steam version of a previous EU game you get 10% off, and they handed out steam keys to EU3 to everyone on their forums. Yay 5 bucks off.
  24. Venture Bros. is back. Though Cartoon Network/Adult Swim in Canada dropped the ball and isn't airing in tandem with the US, instead opting for reruns from season 1, so its getting downloaded.
  25. Can you hand them out?
