graphically I dig it. Don't remember really enjoying Divine Divinity and never played the others though. Will take a look when it goes on sale after release.

My biggest problem with Snow White and the Huntsman was there must not have been money in the budget for some black hair dye. They even refer to her hair as raven black, but it was clearly brown. The little things matter.

Booted up my GOG.com Master of Magic yesterday, and got to wishing someone would basically make the exact same game with a fresh coat of paint and add a bit of map improvements. Looked up possible stuff and found these guys. Supposedly their Master of Magic type game is going to get a kickstarter campaign in what looks like the next month or two. The concept art looks promising.

Blu-Ray, so no 3d. As for using short/dwarf actors, probably because decent ones who fit the part and don't look funny walking/are proportionate are in (pardon the pun) short supply.

Saw the Hobbit finally. The whole part at the beginning with bilbo and frodo was unnecessary. And the whole movie was pretty much the party running from stuff. I've never read the book, but after finding out they weren't being pursued by orcs in the book, I don't think it was necessary in the movie. Otherwise I enjoyed it.

I keep hoping they do a single player Warcraft RPG.

This. Achievements actually having in-game benefits are something I'm a fan of. Bioware did that in the first Mass Effect game, I don't know if they did elsewhere. For example, getting the achievement for kills with the assault rifle unlocked the assault rifle for other classes. I thought that was genius. Otherwise I don't give a crap. I don't mind achievements on Xbox because of Gamerscore. Its something I can compare with my friends, achievements add to my gamerscore. When Bioware had them for the PC version of Dragon Age, I didn't give a crap because it didn't do anything. Steam achievements are even more useless because they're buried so you can't even really see them.

Well I find this fascinating. How exactly is EA (under Riccietello since 2007 specifically) the #1 worst employer? I mean, worst game publisher is certainly a perspective I could see a gamer having as they have their right to make judgments on the quality of games released. Hire and Fire, like a well oiled machine. Cynics might say "That's just the way it is dude", but to me, this is incompetent management. There's always a way to keep devs busy in interim cycles. Either way, some recent EA releases were total failures. ME3, Dead Space 3, Syndicate, SimCity etc. were all creatively bancrupt products and as such, EA deserves all the blame they can get. I don't understand the ME3 hate. The crappy ending didn't invalidate the other 40 hours of awesome game.

Rise of the Guardians. Possibly my favorite Dreamworks flick. Alec Baldwin was awesome as Santa and the visuals were great. Hit all the right emotional beats, just a very well crafted film. Not Wreck it Ralph good, but good.

Am I the only one who found Brandon Sanderson's WoT books way better than Jordans? At least they have been the best since book 2. (haven't read the last one yet)

Storm of Zehir wasn't bad, but it was more of a spiritual successor to Icewind Dale than a real expansion for NWN2. I think it would have beenbetter recieved if it had come before Mask of the Betrayer.

No, that actually makes sense geographically. It would be like calling an American an Indian.. No, I meant that many Canadians take offense at being mistaken for Americans, much as Kiwis take offense at being mistaken for Australians, despite being pretty much identical in general appearance and speech. As in there isn't any way really to differentiate Americans and Canadians aside from Americans with a southern drawl, same as there isn't really any way to differentiate a kiwi and an aussie. Culturally there are many differences, which leads to one group taking offense at being mistaken as the other, but it has more to do with shared history than anything else.

I had regretted missing out on the kickstarter, that footage made me preorder. I've bought more games on Kickstarter in the last 6 months than I have from brick and morter places in the last 3 years.

That's just not true, Arabs living in Israel don't have the right to vote, and are continuously discriminated against in person and in policy. As a citizen of Israel myself I can tell you that not only that arabs do have a right to vote, arab women get the same rights as men which is a lot more than what they get in the arab countries Israeli citizens have the right to vote. The question there is how many Arabs are allowed Israeli citizenship?

Is there an in universe explanation for all those Iron Men? Robots? And is there a name for the giant one that was smashing through everything? He designs armors for specific tasks. Stealth, underwater, space, etc. I think some people will think the big one is the Hulkbuster armor, but I think that one was shown elsewhere. I saw a list of the armors supposedly in the movie and that one looks like the one designed for heavy labour.
