  1. The new Thundercats was awesome. I wouldn't mind an RPG in the setting. Looks too anime-ish for me. Like a furry version of Legend of Korra. Original Thundercats looked badass rather than the teenagers they are now. And it wasn't entirely family friendly either, Mumm'Rah's awakening used to give me nightmares (but all villains were pretty brutal). Its much better written. Lion-o is the only teenager. Mumm-Ra shapeshifts into Panthro then murders Lion-o's father in front of him. The Mutants aren't complete incompetents and give the TCs a hard time rather than being comic relief. Its worth checking out.
  2. I hope you fail. I hope you turn 18 someday and realize how stupid that comment was. No dumber than wishing professional and financial hardship on good people because they used a name you don't like for their game.

  4. That's completely insane. Why doesn't the US just copy/paste the system of some country with lower medical costs? Because they all have socialised medicine and socialism is evil.
  5. Is Brian Fargo's actual company title "Leader in Exile"? If so, thats awesome.
  6. No one would pay to see Vin Diesel jump around a green screen fighting a ball on a pole.
  7. Doesn't look good for Project Awakened.
  8. Got Civ 5 the expansion and all the DLC for like 12 bucks. Finally worth it.
  9. For being undisputable, it sure is disputed a lot, by a lot of people. It was a decent game, but it was more of a good set of tools for others to create their own game. The OC = the game for most people. Hordes of the Underdark was by far better than the OC, but much as NWN2 is judged by its OC rather than Mask of the Betrayer, NWN is judged by its OC, which was average at best. Some of the mods were pretty good, I personally liked the Paladin series... before the dude got hired by Bioware and never finished it.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/user/doddsfurniture/videos?view=0 Enjoy the cheese. Local furniture merchant, does his own commercials.
  11. That's just it though. They'll see "a new Torment." And they'll judge the game based on Torment, so even if the game is good, but just not Torment good, you increase the chance that gamers feel jilted because they actually helped fund the thing. I'm sure when they do the Kickstarter for it, they will explain about the title. There will be really no good reason not to be informed about what exactly is being proposed, unless people don't bother to even read the Kickstarter page to see what they are funding. I generally read the page but often skip the video. Anyway, I think the main thing here is that they aren't calling it Torment because Torment is a big bankable name that will get them more recognition, they are calling it Torment because they feel its going to be a worthy successor and they wanted to do a game like it. That it brings some name recognition is a bonus. Its the difference between "I have an idea for a Torment sequel" and "I have an idea: A Torment sequel".
  12. And its not like the producers were petty or anything. His character had his brain sucked out, then he was shot, then the planet he was on was blown up. Same thing happened to the girl who played Wade. Kari Wuhrer got hired and was making more than her, who had been there since day one. She rightfully so demanded a raise, so they sent her character to a Cromag rape camp. As for earlier, I was thinking more of rebooting the series from the get go rather than restarting it. Or at least doing a new show with a similar premise. Sliders has some nostalgia value though so using the name would likely boost interest initially.
  13. The one I'd most want to come back is John Rhys Davies. Generic Boy Genius can be played by anyone. JRD is anything but generic.
  14. Once David Peckinpah got ahold of the show and it went from "what if this happened" to "what kind of crazy stuff can we do" it all went downhill. Zombie episode and wizards and dragons episode are prime examples. I wish someone would reboot the series. We need some good alternate history stuff on tv.
  15. Not really New Vegas anymore, then. Obviously the title should be different if the setting isn't centered on/directly adjacent to the New Vegas area. Well yeah, what I mean is I would like to see more Fallout games from Obsidian rather than Bethesda. I mean I liked FO3, but I thought NV was a lot better.
  16. [iNTELLIGENCE] You like Fallout 3. No, I 'liked' because I'm done with it. Past tense, look it up. And let me know when Obsidian does art design or gameplay on par with anyone else. So far, I've yet to be impressed. Alpha Protocol looks like they hired a pre-schooler for character design, and New Vegas is ugly as hell. Alpha Protocol's character design was spot on for the setting. http://alpha-protocol.deviantart.com/favourites/48427753 Hardly Pre-Schooler work there. Now if you want to poo poo Neverwinter Nights 2's character models, go right ahead, those were awful, but the design work they have done has never been bad. New Vegas wasn't any uglier than Fallout 3. The problems with New Vegas were almost entirely related to the garbage engine they used. I say bring on NV2, but set it further north. Oregon, Washington, British Columbia.
  17. I don't really care about Steam aside from the cheap games and relatively easy user interface for the store.
  18. But to own a car you still need to register it. And to be allowed to use one you must be properly trained in its use and maintain a license and insurance in case of its misuse. And some vehicles of high enough power levels that using them for normal uses is ridiculous are not allowed on the road. Guns should be treated similarly.
  19. Himalaya Studios is the commercial arm of AGDI, who did the Kings Quest and Quest For Glory VGA remakes. They have a couple commercial releases too so they know what they're doing.

  21. Just Watched The Dictator. I laughed. I would recommend to anyone who liked Borat or Bruno.
  22. My biggest problem with Brutal Legend was just as I was getting to the half way mark, I beat the end boss. Seriously, the way the game was paced I didn't think the end was going to sneak up like that. It was definitely a fun game though.
