  1. But to own a car you still need to register it. And to be allowed to use one you must be properly trained in its use and maintain a license and insurance in case of its misuse. And some vehicles of high enough power levels that using them for normal uses is ridiculous are not allowed on the road. Guns should be treated similarly.
  2. Himalaya Studios is the commercial arm of AGDI, who did the Kings Quest and Quest For Glory VGA remakes. They have a couple commercial releases too so they know what they're doing.
  3. http://youtu.be/mpDOscUDQ_0
  4. Just Watched The Dictator. I laughed. I would recommend to anyone who liked Borat or Bruno.
  5. My biggest problem with Brutal Legend was just as I was getting to the half way mark, I beat the end boss. Seriously, the way the game was paced I didn't think the end was going to sneak up like that. It was definitely a fun game though.
  6. Isn't Impire, which comes out tomorrow, essentially the same thing? http://www.paradoxplaza.com/games/impire
  7. Its not a lot when it costs 130 million to make it, plus marketing.
  8. I like the demos that have shown up lately that are just the full version of the game with saves disabled and a time limit coded in.
  9. They didn't get the time extension in writing. Which was why they were hooped when LA decided to go back to the christmas release.
  10. The funny thing is you said I was inaccurate then repeated what I said in your own words, then he expanded on what I said. So basically we are all correct. The lesson for OE is: Get it in writing.
  11. I just found out that while The Ice Age movies are generally disliked domestically, overseas they are stupid popular. The latest made like 160 million domestic, and like 750 million overseas. I was wondering why they kept making them.
  12. The problems with KotOR 2 were on Obsidian and Lucasarts. It was Obsidian's first project and they bit off more thn they could chew, and Lucasarts told them they would have more time but didn't put it in writing so there was nothing to do when they backed out of that agreement. For what it was I found it very enjoyable, and aside from the ending found it better than the first.
  13. If Quest for Glory doesn't count, then Fallout 1 was my first.
  14. I think that's the first time I've heard the morrowind convo system praised. The item value beef is definitely something I share. I actually stopped looting chests in skyrim because there was never anything worth looting
  15. From what I understand, when Iger said Lucasarts would focus more on social and mobile games, they meant in-house. They would still contract out bigger projects.
  16. I didn't like DiCaprio when he was younger, as he's gotten older he's been more and more awesome
  17. Wildman? Well I never gained that impression from my read-through. Hmm... The problem is most of the game info was in update 2, but the main page, which is what most people read, wasn't updated really until like 2 weeks had passed
  18. Obviously it's going to divert from the whole book concept, but it looks like it might be a great zombie movie in its own right. Running Zombies = Fail in my book. Running Zombies acting as a hive mind = SUPERFAIL in my book.
  19. What really irks me now is after looking up some numbers, Young Justice gets similar ratings to Adventure Time and Clone Wars, both considered among the networks highest rated shows. And the shows they are replacing them with both look terrible. Especially Beware the Batman (because we need yet another Batman show.)
  20. The jump was interesting though. Allowed them to expand the cast easily and the flashbacks and arguments were good ways to fill it in. Also: Nightwing =Awesome. Everything Greg Weisman does is gold, so I eagerly anticipate his next project.
  21. Set up my PS3 to access US netflix so I've been watching the rest of Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes (Teletoon waited like 4 months longer to start the 2nd half of season 2 than Disney XD did in the US). Its such a good show. Shame Jeph Loeb had to come in and ruin everything like he does in Comics. Also heard they're cancelling Young Justice. Best superhero show pretty much ever and its getting canned to make room for yet another Batman show.
  22. The Bab al-Shams situation was interesting. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bab_al-Shams Looks like there are several other similar villages popping up as well. Looks bad when Israeli settlers do it illegally and they get military protection and supplied with utilities, yet when the Palestinians do it legally they are forcefully evicted.
  23. It might be interesting to have a "custom" option. Similar to games like Master of Orion and such, where there are a bunch of presets that you can choose(ie Races in MoO), or make your own. Say for instance choosing custom gets you 2 points to spend on your "background" traits, say a +1 to a skill, and maybe +1 to your reputation with a faction. You could then also take penalties to get you more points to spend on benefits, all complete with a text box that allows you to describe your own background. Some of the traits could be linked to little moments in the game that change how you can deal with it, or open/close areas. Just an idea.
  24. You serious? What about... Harry Potter (Harry Potter) Simon (Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn) Daenerys Targaryen (A Game of Thrones / Song of Fire and Ice) Claire Bennet (Heroes) I really like Simon because in the first book he was an insufferable **** that made me want to put the book down, but as the series went on, the examples of others, plus his experiences, forced him to become someone great. Sorry for the run on sentence.
  25. Yeah but its a Bethesda game. Its like they require bad voice acting.
