Disagree, those sounds are loud by nature, they should stay loud. a dog at the window's house barking will drown out any sound in the yard. i think they left the fine details like this off so the game isn't a resource hog. I think the bugs are fine, no need to see all their whiskers. agreed, they're looking into this, hopefully the upcoming patch will fix it. and then we can have rafts just my 2¢

Ant Egg Bug!!!!
McSquirl Nugget replied to emre yıldız's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
no need to get so defensive, just trying to help. Never said kill all the ants. You want eggs, you have to kill ants to get them to spawn. You want ants to kill, if they're not in the ant hill they're most likely out in the yard somewhere huddled around spoiled meat. -
Not useful when you search for your topic name Interesting that searching for that same string gave me half a dozen or so threads here in Grounded and a bunch of threads for other games with a wide open search

Custom waymakers?
McSquirl Nugget replied to CodeMonkey757's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
Vast would the be the opposite of what this map is, it's small comparatively with other games. But, i like this idea as long as it doesn't show in the game screen with all the trail marker clutter. Also the trail markers should show on the map, not in the HUD. We should be able to select the ones from the map we want to see, like our base markers, or whatever you click on and choose to view. -
Grounded suggestion
McSquirl Nugget replied to Here's a thought's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
Yes it's in preview, yes it's buggy, that's why we're playing preview, to find and report the bugs to help improve the game. If you can't take someone disagreeing with what you post then this game and forum is definitely not for you. Sorry man. -
so far there's only 2 spots it would work in. the cost of stems and sap and rope and whatever to make it is negligible for the help it could provide.

crash graphics crash

it won't run on 2 gb, you'd be lucky to get far enough to log in. We're just giving advice from profesional and personal experience, doesn't sound like you want it. So good luck!. -
Building and Decor
McSquirl Nugget replied to YaBoyJenkins's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
Love the idea. however i'd rather see flower petals and such for the paint, use something like the smoothie deal to mix them up for colors, yellow and blue petal gives you green paint, etc. maybe some bug goo drops for other colors. I'd say 1 bucket or whatever for one panel, like 1 wall piece, make it a little challenging to paint your whole base. WHy a spray can? we could easily do brushes from fuzz or plant fiber and twig or stems, even a roller. Yep yep yep! they'd have to allow us to the tables, i'd like the pot to be useable, harvest the fiber when you need one build a dozen pots in a room (must get sunlight on the pots) and start your own fiber farm, never have to go searching then. great post, i like these ideas. -
Grounded suggestion
McSquirl Nugget replied to Here's a thought's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
that'd make the game too easy mode i think. you're supposed to explore and find materials, not have everything handed to you (or pointed out), my vote is no. Need Gnats? they gather near the yard lights, and fly all over the yard during the day, quite easy to find if you listen and look. -
move what? the plank? they float, you can push them around in the water, same with berries. Weed stems sink, so they're lost if they fall in the water. can't move them either, i spent a good hour or more trying to fish 2 out of the deep water by the machine before giving up.

never had that happen, i have no issues with the trampoline audio.

Glass weapons and tools
McSquirl Nugget replied to EllusivePanda's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
only problem i see with glass is it's fragile, the edge would chip away with use quite quickly. Sewing needle, or a pack of needles, would be cool. That family that owns the house is horribly messy, we could get a lot of cool items dropped in the yard. -
Ant Egg Bug!!!!
McSquirl Nugget replied to emre yıldız's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
have to kill the ants to get the eggs. if you have no mass amounts of ants stuck in the ant hill then go look for them gathering around spoiled meat in the yard. kill them, sleep then go collect the eggs. -
there's an awesome feature in the forums called Search

Keyboard & Mouse for Xbox?
McSquirl Nugget replied to calmander's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
why would you even want a keyboard/mouse on a console? Not meaning any disrespect, i've never understood why and this forum is more 'friendly' to ask questions in than others ask this in steam and you flayed and broiled and tossed out after your burned lol You can get the small chat keyboard that plugs into the controller and use that. I've got most of the button maps set to it that i use regularly. takes a bit to get used to with the controller though. -

Windows 10 needs 4 mininum to run and it does so extremely slowly on 4. I don't know if you're old enough to remember dial up internet, but that's how 10 behaves on 4gb Ram. Very slow and clunky. open an app go get coffee then come back to see if it's open, then you do an action, drink your coffee and look to see if it's done. 8gb is the recommended to run Windows 10. You have the min recommended. This means the game is taking up the 6gb, and windows is struggling to run with what's left (which is less than the required 4gb). it's not a good scenario. 8gb is fine if all your doing is word process, spreadsheets, emails, and surfing the web. If you're playing games you need the extra RAM for windows to do what it needs and the game to do what it needs to do without tanking each other. like @tecknotot said, 16gb is the minimum you should have for gaming now days. That is if your motherboard will support it. -
Why can't I save?
McSquirl Nugget replied to Michelle Brooks's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
read through this thread again. you said you had 149 games in your library. Makes me wonder if you're short on disk space now and that's causing the save issues? Needs 1gb for the save files now (changed in a previous patch from 256mb). I seriously doubt this is geared for the Series X, it plays flawlessly on the Xbox One X. other than the ant spawns you have to clear out every couple days in game -
I don't think so, it plays great on the Xbox One X. I don't see many of the issues reported here or in other posts. I could see having issues on an outdated 1st gen Xbox One sure. That'd be like playing a game on a PC that barely meets the recommended specs. Cant wait to get the Xbox Series X my son and I have been counting down till we can preorder it lol

Mints
McSquirl Nugget replied to Fletch Dude's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
mint's don't respawn in the container, just the ant hill. -
It's not a new addition, in every game mode i've played (all but the WOAH! mode) hitting the wall with a tool or weapon damages it. It's the work around for the recycling items bug. Or am i missing something here? if you hit a wall with a tool or weapon it SHOULD damage said wall. What's the thought behind it shouldn't? that just makes no sense.

Building system is ****ed
McSquirl Nugget replied to Arclight's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
no it's not. it doesn't crash your game or otherwise stop you from playing. Sounds like you have no support under the walls to hold the rest up, so it's working correctly. build a foundation for them from scaffolding or clay or pebble/clay.
