i didn't consider quartzite rare, you can find it in all the underground tunnels. Now mint, that's a different story, it should never respawn since it's an end game item, at least for the time being. Was talking about this with my son earlier. i liked his idea on repairing weapons/tools. Tier 1 shouldn't have a repair option, since you can remake a spear or axe extremely easily. Tier 2 should keep their cost for repair, but when repairing it should only have 75% of it's original use. each subsequent repair would reduce that by 25% (just tossing numbers out there, maybe 10% would better?) until it's hit it's final breaking point and vanishes. Repaired items are very rarely as good as the original, the game, i think, should reflect that. Like my son's example when we were talking, you have a framing hammer, the head starts to get loose, you drive a wedge into the wood to spread it and keep the head in place. but then it becomes loose again, you use another wedge, each time the repair is less and less effective, which i've seen personally as i put said hammer head through a freshly hung sheet of sheetrock after i'd put 3 wedges in the handle to hold the head in place during it's lifetime

Ants steal from long distance

yep this is in the known bugs thread they're looking into. Great screenshots though! -
How to delete a post/response?
McSquirl Nugget replied to tecknotot's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I don't see any where we can delete. thinking editing and wiping out your post and putting something in like retracted(redacted?) or deleted - ignore me, or something would work. -
Items Dissapearing
McSquirl Nugget replied to Evanthemsmfan's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
there's a work around for losing items until they patch it. Dump all your stuff in a chest or storage container before you quit the game. -
neither new chip adds anything to Burg.l's list, i got all the purchasable items like meatshield and such in the list with the patch. I just found the 2 extra chips last night and the night before and got nothing added. They're just missions for raw science at this time. Hopefully we'll get more added to his "store" with future updates, and new players or new games will unlock those with these chips.

ANT HILL AND ANTS STILL BROKEN
McSquirl Nugget replied to Steve616's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
try a new game, see if that fixes it. gotta expect some bugs as this is still in testing. I started a new game the weekend before the patch and have had no issues with ants or ant eggs at all. worst bug spawns i see are the 4 or 5 gnats in a group, wish they were 6 so i could fill up my jerky racks full -
Ladybug BUG ? ENG/GER PC
McSquirl Nugget replied to Abgott5chlange's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
usually that's from corrupt games or saves and the new(ish) patch. Starting a new game can verify that. worst case reinstall and start again. makes you wonder if all the screams of anguish from the "hard core" players when they wipe our games at official release will blow the roof off. -
Inventory disappeared
McSquirl Nugget replied to Mike cirasuolo's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
You do realize the game is still in testing? it's not fully released yet. sometimes we have to do these workarounds while they fix the bugs and get it ready for the official release. -
much better to discard and build a new one. previous to the 8/26 patch Quartzite didn't respawn. so it was definitely better to rebuild what you could than repair for tier 1 items. Now quartzite respawns and is super easy to get. Personally i don't think there should be a repair option for Tier 1 as easy as it is to remake them. but it was probably an enable for all or none deal so Tier 1 items have that option.

Plank Pallet Capacity
McSquirl Nugget replied to daniel.robert.campbell's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
i don't see a need for this myself, if the pallet gets full, build another, they're super cheap material wise and easy to build. got too many? break or recycle it, you can always use the recovered materials for other things. -
Bugs Runaway & Recover HP
McSquirl Nugget replied to RobbySaturn's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
My thoughts on this - Agro range should be at least doubled for those players that don't want to put the beat down on the bug with a club or mallet or whatever. If the bug gets stuck and can't advance it should break agro and regain all health as it does now. Keep the terrain exploits out of there. If you're fighting said bug and die, there should be a timer that starts to allow you to get back to the bug and continue the fight. the bug should sloowly regain some health during your run back. If the timer expires, before you can get back to the bug, c'est la vie, the bug gets full health back. -
probably can't stand on the shore behind it and shoot it with arrows huh? never tried shooting them at something in water yet.

that must have been a looong fight with the shovel

Field Data Collection
McSquirl Nugget replied to phyerboss's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
great idea, a new tab in the SCA.B menu. Have a photo of the bug and details. blank question mark for bugs you haven't seen yet, like the grub when starting out. -
Insects and climbing
McSquirl Nugget replied to ArchThrone666's topic in Grounded: Feedback & Suggestions
i'll take it a step hopefully in the right direction. Yes to climbing rocks and such. no to climbing walls. -
where'd you see that?
-
Love the ideas. many have been mentioned, so hopefully they're added before release. just a few comments i have What if they had it so if the wall section beside the one being built was taller, it would make the top of that one and the one being built angled to match each other, if they're close enough in height for that. I have a wall built unevenly like this, and some pieces are just shy of matching up, so i think angling those would make it look better. We have zip lines? where'd i miss those? #NoTaming
