  1. Speaking of references and in-jokes: did I mention that I also loathe Pratchett and Adams?
  2. Seems it's not that intended. BMac said it's going to get fixed with the next patch - PoE nostalgia or not.
  3. To me it's extremely boring. But since I value character development over plot that's a normal thing I guess. I don't like crime/detective novels too much in general. I also loathed the style of language. I don't like anything from Umberto Eco to be honest. Maybe the translation is just bad, don't know...
  4. But you only need one hit: it applies a fairly long lasting debuff. If you want you can switch it off then and switch back on once the debuff wears out. However, I found -25% dmg to be no problem so I almost never switched it off.
  5. @Teclis23: your post is not correct. All unique two handers have the same base PEN as the non-unique ones. And those got raised by 1 point in a prior patch. The only thing we can discuss is Oathbreaker's End because it has the same PEN as one-handed Battle Axes. Two Handers got +1 PEN to balance out their disadvantages when compared to dual wieldig or one handed usage or shield setups - so we could say that a Two Handed Axe should have +1 PEN as well - but the rest (Effort and all) doesn't lack PEN. And you should know because we explained that to you in another thread you started before this one.
  6. Kaylon showed (with math - no need to discuss this) that Aamiira's Legacy does more dps than the Red Hand. Maybe nerf that as well? The Red Hand is nice - for an arquebus. But it's not that OP if you compare it to certain other weapons that nobody calls OP (like the example above). The only thing that might need a nerf is the weird damage bonus that gets applied to other weapons etc. as well.
  7. ROFL - can't you just put the URL into your browser and fill out & submit the form?
  8. Dude... "God Lord"? I think first of all there should be a balance around Full Attacks: give two handers max dmg roll on Full Attacks and give single one handers increased crit damage on Full Attacks or so. Then I would like to convert Backstab into a fixed raw dmg bonus that scales with Power Level. Not an additve weapon dmg modifier and not a multiplicative one like a lash. Atm Backstab favors heavy hitters like two handers and arquebuses etc. which is weird. A weapon-independent bonus would finally make using a dagger, club or stiletto useful when backstabbing. It would be even cooler if the dmg bonus would be higher with light weapons and/or if heavy weapons and armor would lower your stealth skill - but for starters a flat but PL-scaling raw dmg bonus would be fine. Amor/Penetration still has too much influence in my opinion. I also find it bad that in PotD not only types of enemies changes and numbers of enemies and stats like health, accuracy and defenses get raised but also AR(!). Why is that? It wasn't so in PoE and for a good reason: It means that certain weapons are worse for PotD - which I find really bad. You have a more narrow choice of weapons for PotD if you want to play efficiently. For example great sword (the modal also doesn't help at all) have a really hard time on PotD while suddenly estocs are great (if you prefer two handers). Those are the things I would want to see balanced/changed first.
  9. Or introduce some stuff that adds some spells per encounter - like the wizard has (Grimoire of Vaporous Wizardry). There is one item that gives you +1 levl-1 priest spell. Yeah!
  10. It is the shift key. In PoE and in Deadfire as well. Sadly Obsidian didn't take the time to make a visible (even interactive) queue of commands where you can see what the character plans to do next (and interactive: where you could insert/delete a actions).
  11. Nature's Mark lowers deflection and reflex. Morning Star + CON affliction + MIG affliction will lead to -45 fortitude I believe. A Witch with Spirit Tornado/Leap, Willbreaker and Secret Horrors, making use of Brute Force should have 0 problems. Willbreaker also lowers will on hit and applies a RES afflicton. So fort AND will will be down.
  12. Fury's weapons are now one-handed now (dual wielding like all others). It got patched. I don't know about Tekehu's Spiritshift but I guess that got altered as well?
  13. I haven't checked pistols for some time ... but is the recovery/reload cap bug for pistols fixed in the current state of the game? see: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/98617-bug-attack-frequency-on-guns-capped-at-36-sec/ Yes, it works like it's supposed to for some time now.
  14. Moning Star's modal "Body Blows" brings fortitude down by a whopping 25 points.
  15. One-handed pistol + modal is pretty decent. Not really a crit build since you lose 3 ACC, but you gain 20% hit-to-crit conversion which makes up for it and gain 50% recovery speed. I guess with Priest/Streetfighter (for the very long blooded state) you might be able do great things with it since you will add +100% crit damage and another 50% recovery speedup. Or using a ranger with Driving Flight/Twined Shot and Eccea's Arcane Blaster for amazing and rapid multishots?
  16. Erm... That's like saying: "Coffee quenches thirst best because I never get thirsty when I drink 2 liters of it per day".
  17. He should get +10 Fortitude no matter his CON value. This seems to be a bug. One thing you could try is to enter combat once to see if it activates then (and stays). Also unpause. Sometimes this helps. If not it would be nice if you could search the technical support subforum here and file a bug report if you don't find a similar bug report. Or a mod moves this thread there.
  18. PotD in Deadfire is very tough until you leave the first island and level a bit. Later on it's easier than PoE. It's not you, it's the front-loaded difficulty of PotD.
  19. Arterial Strike + terrify is pretty strong. Also Arterial Strike + immobilize - because most enemies are just too dumb to realize they can't move and try desperately to get somewhere. Arterial's DoT also triggers then - even if they don't move, the action/intention seems to count. Wahaī Pōraga + Arterial Strike, then Force of Anguish is also cool. Or with WotEP. Arterial + Ram's Sprint is also very nice.
  20. I also thought about this "kill enemies with three injuries" - but I couldn't test because I can't find the thing anymore. Maybe I just imagined it or something.
