Is It Still Worth Playing a Monk/Fighter in 1.1?
TW wasn't supposed to be good for Shattered Pillar. SP is a wound spending subclass and TW is a wound stacking skill ability. Other subclasses and pure class got hit harder by this.

Beta patch 1.1 important changes
Bugfixes are of lower priority than balance in Obsidian games. AFAIK Obs has confirmed it to be a bug.

Why are proc on hit so problematic? Because that's why they nerf carnage i guess? Hmm, i don't know. IIRC in PoE1 only arbalests had on-hit (on-crit, actually) effect but carnage doesn't work with ranged weapons.

You steamroll non-boss battles and have a fair fight with bosses. 2. You have a fair fight with non-boss battles and get stamrolled by bosses. 3. Boss battles are as easy/difficult as non-boss battles. and i'd rather avoid them.

Weren't wound stacking monks kicked in the balls by making Iron Wheel and Turning Wheel exclusive? That's how i understood it when reading description. No need to kick them even more. Knowing Obsidian they'll divide crit damage by 5. Or maybe... they'll begin a new era of balancing and divide it by 10? Of course they won't reduce base damage. They want to bring everything closer. Dunno, i like my enemies tough. They don't want to nerf it. I respect their decision. I'd rather nerf damage, many missiles are cool to watch! Dunno, i like when my enemies hit hard. Good thread. Is "The big buff list (patch 1.2) (WIP)" planned?

Dunno, i like my enemies to hit hard. It's fine as it's conditional. Dunno, i like my enemies to heal themselves better so they don't die so fast. OTOH being immortal is broken. Dunno, i like my cipher enemies to be dangerous. Wow, even Obsidian does not nerf by dividing by 10 or 33 Don't look at numbers, read it as "auto crit, auto overpen". Thank you but i prefer it to be interesting rather than boring. I'll continue in my next post.

[MECHANICS] Power level compilation thread
Tbh overwhelming wave in pillars1 was OP. Combined with intellect bonus, that 4s in deadfire can still be not shabby. Empower it and get lasting empower and it's even longer. It wasn't. It had crappy template that was fully friendly-fire, it didn't benefit from radius increaase from INT and it was a stun - an affliction druid had in abundance. It was also slow. I'd rather have something mind-affecting. Stun was also rolled againts Fort, a defense with highest average value. Not sure what was OP in OW but surely not stun. Besides, the point is increase in durations from PL is tiny. Especially on thing with very short base duration like OW. When i saw durations in Tyranny i was surprised they are even shorter than in PoE. Then i realized it is that way because Tyranny is a cooldown rotation game. But no, they did same in PoE2. I'm afraid PoE3 will be MOBA, party size is already at 5

Rangers bad again?
But... why don't you play Rogue, Helwalker, Devoted ? It is not like if it was impossible to play a ranged martial character. Ranger himself isn't even pure ranged since he has even a pure melee ability and even has a "melee subclass" ! Well, i didn't say anything about ranged combat but thanks for suggestions. I think i should have used capital "R" in "ranger" since i was talking about a class. I will not play Helwalker nor Devoted because i don't like their penalties. I might try Devoted once i'm armed with metaknowledge. I might try Helwalker if/when Obsidian balances it.

So dropping ship battles because of players not liking them is not likely. However, PoE3 may just not be about sailing.
