  1. My inner prophet has told me that... Best Narrative will not go to TOW neither to Disco Elysium, Best Performance will go to everyone's favourite TOW companion, Best RPG will go to MH's expansion, GOTY will go to something japanese. BTW this new forum does some shi**y post formatting.
  2. Obsidian loves Wizards and Druids are closest competition. Also, not all abilities need to be equally strong. If a class has some 5/5 abilities it's fine if it has some 1/5 too.
  3. Adding A and B and C and D and E and F makes an OP combo! I've learned that after playing the game 7 times and reading forums for months. It has to be addressed by balance team ASAP!
  4. Looks like it works in 50% cases. PoE2 wasn't affected but PoE1 was. So it would be Valve 1:1 Lunatics. It's still a very good result. I didn't expect something can be done about this problem.
  5. Since Obs said 'ASAP' i'm sure it won't take them as long as fixing DOTs + elemental talents in PoE1! Have faith, guys.
  6. Right! Especially since it stacks with most other debuffs. Actually I know none with which it doesn't stack. Why does it stack? What's the rule here?
  7. I speculate Obsidian released TB mode for PoE2 to research the market and determine if they should use TB in PoE3.
  8. Mmm, do they stack ? If they do, it's indeed good for barbaric retaliation. If they don't, it's not good for this build but it's very good in general. It makes half-sword basically free for frenzied barbarian (except bersekers who don't care). Half-Swording most likely doesn't stack with Frenzy. I remember people complaining about PEN from modal not stacking with PEN from Tenacious, that is granted by Frenzy if you're Berserker. Just to be sure: We are talking about the deflection malus, not the PEN. Yes. What i mean is that Frenzy does not stack with a modal. So the "biggest bonus + biggest malus" rule apply.

  10. Kill all monsters but dragon and two xaurip archers then use them to block the dragon. Kill Adra with ranged attacks while keeping distance.
  11. Even shorter durations. I mean, 4 sec duration on a debuff? I am able to cast it and perform an attack before it wears off. That's OP. Please, balance it.
  12. Maybe unifying spells and attacks shouldn't have happened in the first place. Diablo 3 did push magic closer to weapons - Want to cast powerful spells? Equip a huge weapon! Path of Exile didn't. Path of Exile defeated Diablo 3. Perhaps bringing magic and weapons closer isn't the way to go. Path defeated Diablo 3? In what way? Cause I have my doubts that Path made more money, which is the only metric that ultimately matters. It's a better game of that type. I imagine some people like, i dunno, players, care about that.

  14. It's fixed at +1/-5. The increased area is more about hitting more targets than it is about power level. So... area increase is 5 times bigger than area decrease? Or is it not balanced?
  15. A lot of people really, really did not like the widespread nerfs in 1.1. I bet it showed up in their metrics too. Out of curiosity, I went back to the Announcements page and read the patch threads. Yikes. Pretty harsh. As Josh said - it is only in our heads! We, in our human imperfection, are reading selectively. We pay much more attention to nerfs than buffs. Even when there's more buffs we think there's more nerfs. I'm sure patch 1.1 has buffed more than it nerfed and we're just biased little players. Long live the Sawyer and Obsidian.
  16. this is not the conflict you suggest. crpg players like overpowered and unbalanced even when such stuff does tend to ruin game challenges. you are assuming player rationality and reasonableness, when in practice, player feedback tells a different story. simultaneous complaints 'bout developer excessive balance efforts may be widespread even when same folks is complaining 'bout ease of game. player wisdom and self awareness is elusive. HA! Good Fun! Is this why players complain about OP stuff ALL THE TIME? Including this forum. We had a "Big nerf list" thread for PoE2. I didn't see any "Big buff list" thread. There's lots of complains that stuff is OP/"too OP". If UB was "too OP" too there would be such complains as well. Also, players can complain about game being too easy and devs nerfing class abilities. Because nerfing class abilities it not a good way to address low difficulty - enemies get nerfed too since they also use class abilities. It's better to improve encounter design or buff enemies (at least those that player can not summon). If only someone invented difficulty levels. And did them right.
