  1. I think we find out he is truly the only real god.
  2. Yep all you have to do is read Tolkien’s and his sons’s other books. You’ll get your explanations.
  3. Holding a pistol in your off hand should NOT make you attack faster with your main melee weapon. That needs to be fixed before release. If they are going to allow characters to wield sword and pistol at the same time then either treat it as a single weapon attack OR make the pistol have a melee attack value as well, like a light club or something of that nature. Personally I would prefer the system to treat the melee attack as a single weapon style attack.
  4. They should switch all stats and just blatantly copy the Rolemaster system. Deadfire? Next campaign should of been based from the city Roses leading to the overthrow of the Taken at Charm...Such a no Brainer! Dolt! Almost forgot..... Physician should be a melee warrior/leader class.
  5. A Chanter in PoE can stand and fight while singing. He has good deflection. That alone gives him a good enough start for chapter 1. I preferred a solid 14 Str, Con, Per, 16 Int Build. Grab the Plate Armour in Gilded Vale and go Sword and Board in WS1 and Dual Wield in WS2. Nothing garbage about that start. Viable in Chapter 1 in PotD solo or Party build. Even without Dragon Slashed he could pull off all kinds of feats with his Chanting and dumping Ogres into the fray is NEVER garbage. Never....
  6. Then I want to enchant that spear and use it all the way to the end.
  7. If someone is still walking into the second act of their first play through I'm going to wonder how they spend their time. Spending their time absorbing the rich game world, looking for Easter eggs, etc.... but once your acclimated to the game world then yes, it’s run time.
  8. First play thru.... walking toggle hopefully will make the game feel more real. After that it’s run run run....
  9. I can't say how many times I had to correct my auto-correct because of that - until I finally put "durgan steel" into my phone's dictionary. :D No, no... you don’t understand. Durham Steel is made from a mix of Durgan and Ham. It oozes a sheen of pig fat. Adds an extra 4 DR and gives immunity to Crushing attacks.
  10. Early game - Azureuth’s Stillletto and Oideracht. Bleak Fang later. Also remember that once you go to the White March and obtain Durgan Steel you can add a heavier Armour and still keep attacking quickly. Makes the Rogue more robust. I like to go 16 in Str, Dex and Per, keeping everything else at 10 from creation. Then just items that add % bonus and Crit bonus. Let your other party memebers apply the CC, concentrate on damage and abilities that let avoid being attacked.
  11. Stats make my a minimal impact at best once you reach mid levels. Your build is everything. Talents/Abilities/Gear combos rule the day. Just choose 13 in all stats and play. You will find equipment, buffs and resting can bring any of your stats to high levels.
  12. Hey! That Sounds like Robin Hood. No dissing the Prince of Thieves!
  13. If they just create lots of interesting encounters that have triggers that bring more enemies into the fight it would stop players from just unleashing everything from the get go. Less crap fights more scripted fights. A good mix of both is perfect. They did so with the WM 2 expansion.
  14. There is no overlap. Make Sagani a rapid fire Persistence shooter while you deliver high damage blows with Arbalest/Crossbow.
  15. I had to let the patch fully load on steam. Then go back into steam to download the new DLC separately. It downloads in like 3 seconds... to check go into your Steam Game Library, right click Pilllars, choose Properties it’s the last choice then choose the DLClisting. You will see the Deadfire Pack listed with a check mark.
  16. Oral is always amazing.... just saying.
  17. Fighter is definitely viable. Any class can be a scroll user in this game by just adding Lore. Since Fighters are mostly single target damage dealers adding scroll use is an excellent way to give them some CC or AoE.
  18. Fighter is better vs single target. Barbs do AoE damage. 2hander will work with either class. So whatever class you choose for your Protagonist build the rest of the party around him. If you are choosing the NPCs from the game then Eder already covers Fighter and is accessible in Chapter 1. Maneha the Barbie is not accessible until you go to the WM.
  19. Any build that has lower defenses should play well as Human. Light armored Monk and Barbarian and possibly Fighter all benefit. Fighter can takes hits that trigger their racial and Constant Recovery. Dual wield Warhammer Fighter should be an excellent candidate.
