  1. Rogue/Cipher should be able to hit like a ton bricks in melee.
  2. Hirivias was absolutely hilarious. My fave companion. Eder was a close second also followed closely by Durance. His disdain for his goddess I thought was very well done. WM companions were cool but not fleshed out enough, save for Devil. But she was not built to be super effective in the late game.
  3. Sorry, the hats are mandatory. I mean, we could form a Skaenite cult to overthrow Skaen's tyranny regarding the hats, but we'd have to wear the hats for that one at least. I’m out then. No way I’m looking like Viceroy Nute Gunray. Chics won’t dig it....
  4. Why stop at praying. Let's start an underground Skaenite cult and form an effigy to overthrow the tyranny that is cycling. I’m in.... as long as I don’t have to wear those stupid giant head hats. They look like Grand Poo-ba hats from all the old men clubs like the Eagles or Lions clubs. But I’m all for clubs and stillettos along with the deception and cruelty. Sounds like good times...
  5. But those stats also affect in game choices. Finesse for some of the Perception dialogue choices? It wouldn't fit. I'd like it if they added a seventh Stat. Something along the lines of luck or karma. Or Finesse for ACC bonus and have Perception cover the dialogue, interrupt, etc...
  6. Choose a high Might and Int Borreal Dwarf Fighter. Pick gear from Boeroer's list but choose Whispers of the Yenwood and the Bartender's Ring. Also choose other enhancements vs Creature types at level ups. You become a spellslinging warrior with ACC and/or Damage bonuses vs all Creature types, high deflection, high DR and with a ton of staying power.
  7. Do you have Aloth's Might boosted with items, spells or resting bonus? Do you have Scion of Flame chosen for Aloth? Wizards don't automatically become mega spell blasters in POE. You need to build them as Nukers...
  8. Yep, bug central. But who uses two Cloudpiercers anyway? Only a party of Rangers, bunch of pansy-assed elves most likely....
  9. Does killing the other faction leaders lead to gaining the faction weapons?
  10. There are a lot of Stillettos that can be end game weapons for a Rogue. Oideracht, Azureth's, Misery's End, Vent Pick and Bleak Fang. All depends on your build.
  11. If in a party I like Hearth Orlan. Otherwise I like Borreal Dwarf or Fire or Moon Godlike for Melee solo and Wood Elf for ranged.
  12. March steel Dagger plus Aattuuk is a nice combo, but you will be limited to one damage type. Rapier - Dagger or Mace - Dagger are nice combos covering the different damage types.
  13. My current run has a one-handed Rogue using the stiletto Misery's End. She is by far my biggest damage dealer, almost doubling my Barb and Monk. I use my wiz for CC, my Priest for buffing/healing, my Shieldbearer for buffing party defenses. Keeping both the Monk and Barb with lower DR armor allows for the AI to not swamp my Hand and Key wearing Rogue. She crits constantly. One hand is completely viable and an excellent choice if you party synergizes with the Rogue. My worry is Bosses but with both a Wiz and Priest in my Party I am sure I will overcome them. When running full parties most builds will be successful IF you build your overall party to work together. Choose wisely...
  14. It's a sentimental weapon... I gave it to Eder in my very first play through in the early game. He became my instant super man for the party. I was centering all my buffs on him. With prone it's good enough to be an endgame item. Anyone who says different is going to get a visit from Eder and get beat like there a red headed Orlan..
  15. I think several really nice big weapons are available early: Tidefall, Hours of St. Rumbalt, Tallgrass, Temperecal(...yes I probably misspelled it...), Spectacular Spetum, Firebrand...
  16. Going on power combined with when you can actually get the item... 1 - Bittercut 2 - Tidefall 3 - Shod-in-Faith 4 - Stormcaller 5 - Persistance
  17. If you build tanks your casters will just get targeted more. Make sure you tank your casters up a bit as well or soften your Melee tanks as you advance levels....
  18. But my problem is I stack too many buffs, so that will just buff the Ogres I don't know when Arcane Dampener is available, and I don't know how well it works in practice, since I've never even taken the spell. But I guess it's one of those spells that is not necessary at lower levels, but is vital I never go anywhere without a Paladin, a Chanter, a Priest, and a Wizard (only the remaining 2 spots are up for grabs). So I will have Dragon Thrashed ready. But 1 Dragon Thrashed isn't THAT powerful in my experience in PotD. ???? High Mig and Int leads to awesome damage with Dragons Thrashed. Pump your stats. Use consumables before the battle, make sure equipment is boosting those two stats, use the Priest ability that adds +2 to your stats, etc... boost Mig and Int!
  19. Make him an Aumaua and give him 3 Arquebuses. He will still destroy one enemy at the outset of every encounter
  20. I love Borresaine on my Ranger. It sets up easy kills for my Rogue. They are each better when working in tandem.
  21. Caster nuker is a nice choice. Think about softening the enemies defenses before nuking. At level 5 take Expose Vulnerbilities and Fireball. EV will lower the enemies DR by 5. Cast it first. Then Fireball. Try bottlenecking enemies in doorways,etc... to group them up so your nuking is most effective. What's your party? What difficulty setting?
  22. Plate early on fine but as you level up into the mid game you can switch to a lighter armor. Blaid Gholan is a fine armor which is also looks cool on a Barbarian. As does Wayfarer's Hide.
