  1. Anyone know of a link to a list of items and their abilities that is floating about? Maybe in Excel format?
  2. A blue skinned Aumaua would also work for a Genie look. He needs a Rogue sidekick named AL.
  3. I have been planning a Boeroer Build party PotD party run. This guy will be my 1st round Draft pick.
  4. This goes for most if not all games with difficulty settings, not sure why you're making PoE sound special. I don't think that there have been many games that play like PoE. PoE has been tweaked enough to allow for a gazillion different play styles that work at most if not all settings. Not many games have as much flexibility as PoE. So yes, I do think it's kind of special in that sense. I like that I can Pally any way I want and still be viable at all levels.
  5. If your not soloing Bow Ranger is perfectly fit for PotD. Any of the unique bows in the game will work just go with a) what is the coolest looking and b) whatever bow has the special ability that fits your party best be it Persistance, Borresaine, Lenas Er, etc.... Once you know your bow of choice then you know what stats you need. I would say console all unique into the game at intro just to see what they look like. Then drop them all once your decided. I am not a min maxer so I prefer a 14 10 15 15 14 10 starting setup. Items , resting bonuses and consumables will get your stats where they need to be for tough/boss battles. 14 Int can be surprisingly useful on a bow Ranger.
  6. What I like most about PoE is that no matter what I 'Think' a class should be I am able to adapt most classes to any role that I have wanted them to be. Equipment being prominent in build development makes this possible as does the addition of cross-class abilities. And of course open mindedness. In the case of the Paladin he can be effective as a Tank, Hybrid Tank/Damage Dealer, a Buffer or a Healer. Only PoTD limits character design. Which is another thing I like about the game. Playing on hard with a 'Less than Obsidian PoE Forums Optimal Build' is easily doable and still enjoyable.
  7. I have gone with 3 Bow Rangers all with Bears, 2 Druids with Bear shifting and a Barbarian with a pike(Tallgrass). The Rangers were the key. With all of the awesome bows in this game PotD was only challenging when fighting bosses. And I don't min/max stats. Make your ACs as defensive as possible and make sure your Rangers have a secondary ranged weapon that does other than piercing damage. The Druids were the micro piece to the party, not the Rangers.
  8. I love the Celebrant's Gloves, but sadly they're not compatible with using the Forgemaster's Gloves. I was not aware of the Belt of Chimes, +25 Concentration is nothing to sneeze at. I wish there was an easy way to get certain Stronghold quests. There are some great items there. Man - how drunk was I when I posted this?Of course you can't wear Celebrant's Gloves while you use Forgemaster's Gloves - sorry for that. Hey Boeroer, put the beer down. Slowly. Friends don't let friends drink n post build advice. You could destroy entire playthroughs for thousands. I am hearing that's grounds for a felony these days.
  9. I was thinking about shooting at the enemy squishes from afar while surrounded by enemy melee combatants. I wasn't thinking about Interrupt. Meh. So much for that idea. Maybe if I had all defensive items equipped to help increase deflection and chugged a lot of potions and stood next to a Pally Clipper and support Priest. I guess it is doable in a Party.
  10. Here's a thought. I am using a Fully loaded Island Aumaua Ranger with many Arquebuses, light armor and Shod in Faith boots just standing put, firing away. If such a character gets surrounded by enemies dies their engagement effect my accuracy? Is there a penalty to ranged accuracy when engaged by a melee enemy?
  11. Well, Kaylin is right about starting off with the Arquebus shots as that is from a distance where the enemy, mostly, can't hit back. It is an awesome opener. "BWAM to the face, BWAM to the face and then SHNG out come the Sabres for some Dice n Slice!" Think we can get Tarantino to make a PoE film? The action would be just Awesome!
  12. While on paper dual sabres do slightly more damage than an arquebus (average 30 base dmg for arquebus vs 2x16 base damage for sabres) once you start hiting heavy armored enemies the sabres will fall behind because the DR counts twice. But how many shots in a combat do you get as compared to Saber swings?
  13. Tidefall is my plan B. Redeemer plan C. Plan A is always Firebrand. It is just devastating in the hands of a high accuracy warrior.
  14. Tidefall is my plan B. Redeemer plan C. Plan A is always Firebrand. It is just devastating.
  15. I use it on Rogues with Stilettos, Sabres, Daggers and Rapiers. I am speeding them up every other way possible so the extra DR bypass is great. I do the same for Barbs and Ciphers using similar weaponry. I attack the biggest meanie on the field with these characters and chop them down asap.
  16. One might surmise that it's not just the internet but the entire world that is no place for anything proper according to most of the last couple of generations to arrive on the planet. Can't help but find that a bit sad... On a serious note I believe that to be true. It is sad. Trying to get my 8 yr old to NOT eat like an Ogre is frustrating.... Back on topic!
  17. Proper? LMAO! The Internet ain't no place for proper nothing!
  18. Gauntlets should of been added as a weapon addons for unarmed attacks. Spiked fist Dwarven Gladiator build in an armor with spikes jutting out of the armor would of had a really cool look to it...
  19. Which sucks because Monks are not the only warrior type to kick ass with a fist. I guess they didn't want to make Monks obsolete if the other classes could play as unarmed warriors?
  20. Endgame was beatable by lvl 10. Adding leveling to 16 without greatly increasing endgame content is kind of pointless... Adding the expansions after Thaos and making the new content to auto play at the higher scaling levels would of made more sense. Of course it's easy of me to state that after the fact. Oh well... Regardless it's still a top ten all time RPG in my book. Just hoping for POE 2 now.
