Lagufaeth underwhelming
Yeah..... ummm.... erm..... guess that would be a wee tad bit different.

Lagufaeth underwhelming
I recently tackled that area with. Tidefall wielding Barb, 3 Rangers with bows and bears and 2 Lion Druids on PotD. Arrows and Lightning storms rained insta death on those freaks. My mostly melee party has felt lots of pain trying to take them on. Quick death from afar has seemed to be the better option.

Help! I've hit a brick wall!
If you can't access Defiance Bay, it sounds like you haven't repaired the barbican and taken the south exit from Caed Nua towards Woodend Plains. Pretty remarkable if you've made it to level 13 in Od Nua without that btw. :hattip: This happened to me as well back at release. I cleared Caed Nua until I got stuck at that door. Then I spent FOREVER trying to figure out how to open it. It wasnt until after I killed Spark and cleared act II that I went back and it opened. It was VERY frustrating...

How much aggro did he draw?

Companion Builds, Equipment and Soulbindings
It depends on my Waycher's role. Eder - Dual Sabre or Dual Axes, Sanguine Plate Pallegina - TwoHander, usually Tidefall or Tallgrass. Her special armor mostly because it looks cool.

My party made up of story companions sucks, help please!
Eder is a Fighter you can find in Gilded Vale, just South of the tree of stretched necks. He is excellent.

3.00 patch teased by Josh on SA
Blades of Vanatar replied to AndreaColombo's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)That's not wholly true. Most prestige classes had tons of paths to get there. Only classes that required specific abilities like evasion or specific spellcasting types narrowed your choices. But I get your point and agree with it in regards to PoE.

Slaughtering the Camp questions/strategies
That's.... disconcerting.

Slaughtering the Camp questions/strategies
No looting? Why not? Is it the same Cutscene as the normal path? Less or more XP?

Slaughtering the Camp questions/strategies
I am attempting to create my first "evil" Watcher... an Aedyran Bleak Walker. So I figured I would start off with a bang by wiping out the camp and looting the caravan. Has anyone killed the entire caravan. I seem to get mobbed quickly, the game goes to Slow Mode and even if I back myself into a corner, I still bite the dust. Pointers?

Tell me about rangers!
I'd be tempted to go with persistence, but it requires more pet micro management than Borrasaine, and you lose the critts. I'd also turn off penetrating shots with a warbow. I find using penetrating shots and swift aim works, or just vicious aim by itself. The loss of speed using both kinda defeats the purpose of using a warbow. Note I haven't actually done the maths, it's just my impression. Depends on the role. Is your party function to deal damage or annihilate/interrupt casters? That should help you decide...

Tell me about rangers!
Ranger is a lot more viable than it was nine months ago. Pets have been enhanced, abilities have been improved and WM1 added an awesome bow for late game destruction. I ran a 3 Ranger, 2 Druid and a Barb party. It was unstoppable.

Lord of The Rings Party
If it's a Lotr party and not a Fellowship of the Ring party, why go with Beorn as a Druid?

Party too weak?
I find the lvl 1 missles to be useful in the final fight inside Raedrics throne room. They allow for quick elimation of the 2 enemy wizards...

How do you hold the line?
Buy figurines that summon if you can. They really help in covering your flanks. Once you are level you willbe able to summon blights as well.

What type of Armor Proofing is the most useful?
Sounds like I want pierce-proofing for my back row and crush proofing for my frontline.

What type of Armor Proofing is the most useful?
Was wondering about if anyone has already researched... A) What type of damage from the armor proofing choices is most common throughout the various enemy types? and.... B) What type of armor proofing is required/best vs the big baddies throughout the game like Thaos, the various Dragons, etc....

First playthrough - PC Monk + 1 Adventurer Ranged Cipher - Rest of party?
Almost any combo will work on normal. As long as you are using buffs from your Priest you will get by on most battles. Normal difficulty will allow you to test different CC and Damage spells until you get comfortable with them.

Who gets the Dunryd Demon helm
This item gives a nice +2 INT bonus. Is it more effective for a Priest or Wizard?

Party too weak?
Fighter abilities that draw more enemies aren't necessarily defensive. A 2-hander wielding Fighter will dish the pain out to more enemies as he won't have to chase one down after killing another. Of course it also keeps the enemy engaged instead of them slaughtering your back row squishcasters.

Party too weak?
It will help usable item duration like potions.
