  1. apaz if you try to modify it there is a little easter egg telling you not to cheat lol
  2. You'll never know unless they record the whole run . Even then video can be just edited. So you'll never know unless they stream the whole run .I know, but I'm very trusting and I'll probably believe their word. But really, Obsidian should figure out a way to save in combat to avoid this situation. In my trial of iron run i pulled the skirmiser on the broken bridge onto the quest giver thinking i could kill him in time... turns out i cant and he died. too late now but i really regretted playing trial of iron in that moment as i neeeeeed the exp to hit lvl 4
  3. Nice one. I killed them in my monk run but thought they would hit too hard for my chanter so i used the speed buff to pull them to the bandits and loled my ass off watching the two duke it out
  4. 6 moonlike= 18 heals before your party dies=you cant die unless you actually want to you need 2-3 tanks 2 dps and 1 healer, imo monks make the best tanks as they have the highest dps and cc, you can build a monk to be full tank (dump intel) and he will still put out dps on par with other dps classes, as long as he has access to wounds that is, which if you put two monks on your front lines there should be plenty of them togo around. I prefer druid as my ealed because of the immense aoe spells they bring but priest buffs are stronk too.Ciphers are the obvious choice for ranged dps as nothing really beats raw damage or the cc they put out. Honestly ciphers need a nerf to bring them to the same level as other DPS, a ranger isnt even in the same league as a cipher for DPS and a rogue is only in the same league for backstab attacs. Im not sure what was going on when they balanced ciphers but maybe everyone was ill that day at work.
  5. I can't edit my topic, because I can't find the edit button, so let's continue here, all question will be answered in the walk through, I hope. Skill: Athletics 1~2 Lore 2 (to use fan of fire scroll) then it goes to stealth and Mechanics, see walkthrough Tips: Always save before combat and important conversation and remember S/L would still be needed, and you need it more than often. Game will auto save if you quit the game while out of combat In combat, if you feel something is wrong like your character is going to die, quit the game, then reload Out of combat, if you chosen a wrong selection through dialogue and did not result a fight, attack anyone nearby, then quit the game, and reload A lot of enemies won't chase you for too long after you run out of their distance if they didn't get close to you Tenuous Grasp can confuse enemy, a confused enemy will attract other enemies, after confusion is over, if no PC in sight, the combat stop, sometimes a single enemy will chase you, but it can also be confused, so if you encounter some group of enemies that can not sneak pass through, use Tenuous Grasp, and run through them quickly while they are fighting each other. The food Farmer's Spread increase your move speed by 1, it also affect sneak, so remember gather ingredients. You get almost infinite focus from hit after quaff a Carow Golan or Blacsonn. Don't bring pet, sometimes they will mess things up. Walkthrough: I'll explain how to resolve some fight that should be difficult, the rest you can dig it up by your self. There are some quests can be done with high Resolve, see Strategy Guide. You can find a lot of hidden items by using the scout mode, see Strategy Guide. Valewood You will first encounter an outlaw, attack her with a ranged weapon or mind wave then run, after running enough distance she will turn back, attack her with mind wave then run again, and then she will turn back again, get closer to her or stand still but do not attack, you should leave combat and get into combat immediately, with refreshed focus, do the hit and run multiple times, she would be dead. Then sneak closer to the bandit camp, shoot the nearest bandit with a ranged weapon and run, then do the hit and run again to finish him, go back to the bandit camp, cast Tenuous Grasp on the archer and attack her, before the confusion were off, charm the other bandit, and kill the archer, use hit and run to finish the left bandit, and talk to the cook. If you don't want to come back to this map again, head to the bear cave, sneak closer and cast Tenuous Grasp on one of the young bear then run to the entry, that bear can kill young bear with a single hit. After all young bears are dead, cast Tenuous Grasp on the bear, see if it is moving a little bit far from the soul, if it is, go talk to the soul, after finish talking, cast Tenuous Grasp on bear immediately, then run to the entry, leave the cave after leave combat. Gilded Vale You should have 4 stealth and 4 mechanics after reach here, go steal around, finish tasks and The smith's shipment quest, it is simple, just sneak and steal the quest item then take it back to the smith. Leave other quests along. After all finished you should be level 4, put all skill points into stealth. Before leaving, buy a rope from smith. Caed Nua Sneak through the bottom edge, then you will encounter a group of elements, confuse one or two of them then head to the door of main keep. Now prepare for S/L, in the main keep, confuse those ghosts for many as you like, then run to the north east corner, that corner blocks enemy sight and you can talk to housecarl safely. Sneak head down to Old Nua level 1, unlock the door lead to Maerwald by mechanics 4, after fight start, 3 elements will be summoned by Maerwald, confuse the Fire Blight(with +15 acc), then run out of the room, if you are lucky Maerwald's fresh new chill fog and fire ball will clear out those elements out, if not, confuse a another element and do it again, don't forget you can still attack with ranged weapon and elements are moving slowly. After elements are cleared out or left by1, lure Maerwald out, run around quickly to avoid his aoe attack, then lure the spiders out from the room in south east, if you didn't stuck by spider web, lure spider to attack Maerwald, charm the left element, the rest fight should be easy. Unfinished... The save load thing i noticed too but I avoid using it,its like editing iron man saves, its not really in the spirit of trial of iron-EG when i aggroed the entire of gilded vale i let it play out. Like dont get me wrong still impressive but you dont have a legit triple crown if you didnt play with trial of iron properly
  6. Sanguine Plate is like... two posts above yours. You get it from Pallegina's quest. no sry you get it from a guy where palleginas quest start..but its not a pala quest where is that? I killed palleginas for her gear (solo run) so i have no idea where to get this armour
  7. Dude use formations, you should have a front line of 2/3 tanks to soak up the cc and damage and your backline should be able t easily take down the shadows with dps, they are only really hard to take down 1v1/1v4. They should go down really fast from anyone NOT affected by the dazed condition they apply with their autoattacks
  8. Ciphers feel to OP to me whenever I pick one up but thats just me. I really enjoy chaner play as I think tactical use of chants is one of the games strongest mechanisms. Im soloing a chanter and i routinely run speed to kite, get out my summon then switch to whatever chant is most appropriate for the fight
  9. So we all know the 'hide in a corner/block the doorway' trickI just thought i would share some of the things that i think make solo play possible as there are several things that dont come up so much in group play that become very important in solo play. 1) figurines- basically these should be your number one priority for items 2) food and drink and scrolls- especially sugar and fire scrolls sugar lets you run faster which is really useful ay numbre of times 3) Get other people to fight for you when possible- the screenie below is a troll vs bandit fight i set up, mobs generally engage the closest enemy and this fight worked out beautifully as I just attacked whichever side was winning and the last troll and bandit died within a few seconds of each other: Also always check what your enemies resistances are, some bosses have crazy deflection so you are going to have to use spells or scrolls to kill them, trolls are resistant to crushing so dont use a hammer on them.
  10. this is exactly why there should be some kind of limit on summons, a 6 chanter team can clear pretty much any map without moving from the first encounter using this, i killed the spider boss over by maerwald lol
  11. I think it was a design decision rather than a bug but it would have been far better as originally intended and part of the problem is that it is still described as such in many places, such as on the wiki. Ive found a number of spells and abilities are poorly labelled :/
  12. enchantments of the same kind cant stack so you will never reach more than a certain value from gear alone.
  13. Maybe the average engagement will last longer as well? I agree to some extent but i think if they shorten the times they will have to have some way to balance it. I think a sliding scale would be useful, chanters can modify how fast they chant but their defensive stats and movement speed are also tied to this slider, If you set it so that you get 4 chants in 4 seconds you have to suffer being 8 times more defenceless (and will die from like one arrow)
  14. Nah i wasnt very far in anyway and i had killed way too many villagers lol
  15. Well im orlaning for RP reasons anyway, there are far too many godlike in this game and nowhere near enough feral Orlan. my goal is to get the eccentric reputation with every group in game
  16. Yea i know its my fault, ruined a perfectly good trial of iron run lol last time i do that ( i dont even need the loot i just like knowing what each NPC drops) I was just a little intrigued with how my rep spread, originally about half the village was hostile then all of it wanted me dead. I suppose its coz i kept killing the hostile ones so the non hostile ones were like better help out
  17. too late now i mean they might fix summoner spam first but yea i very much doubt they meant for it do do so much raw damage...
  18. I almost made my solo paladin a wild orlan Decided on Aumaua for the flat stun resist instead, but I think people are too taken in by the moonlikes when there are other races with very worthy benefits. Its coz wild orlans ability only kicks in in SOME fights, moonlike get twice as much hp for ALL fights. How is solo paladin anyway, i woldnt think you would have enough dps? you'd be correct. there's a fine line, and some battles are just not very winnable on POTD with a solo paly I think. and by not very winnable, I mean, you'd have to crit extraordinarily often to succeed,or else plan way ahead and save up a bunch of the right scrolls to boost damage and reduce enemy resistance, etc. OTOH, there IS a paly build I was thinking of that might be able to bypass DR even with low might. ever notice that a blunderbus fires 6 projectiles at once? you're thinking... "but.. that's even WORSE... each projectile does crap damage against DR!" but you know what does good damage against everything? raw damage. did you know envenomed strike stacks? so... here comes poison-pistol*-packin'-paladin-pete *well, blunderbus, anyway. I tested this against my paladin, with 24DR to physical damage... and it does over 100 points of damage... per attack. the best thing? not only does it stack on each attack, each attack's poison stacks on the previous attack... you can get some insane numbers. earlier today I was running one where I got 120 raw damage per second... yeah, you read that right. so, I might actually try a hearth Orlan min/maxed paly, but focusing on blunderbus and envenomed strike. swap back to shield while the poison melts the target. others have had the also bright idea to do a rogue blunderbuss build.... sneak + backstab + deep wounds + envenomed strike.... I think it might be overkill. I bet this will bee patched next patch though :/
  19. update on the APB it seems word of my misdeeds spread and now the whole town is out for my blood
  20. Anyone know why some NPCs want to kill me and others dont? I killed a couple of backer npcs to state my bloodlust and now i have to run through the first town just to stop random npcs attacking me, but only some want me dead, its not a problem as i can easily kill them but it does lose me rep
  21. so enchanting the dissapointer with accuracy makes it a worthwhile weapon?
  22. Also can you continue playing after you finish the main campaign? im thinking of soloing the ain campain then getting a full party of 6 level 12s and destroying everything that moves
  23. I have about 5 different saves at various points because I enjoy soloing as all the classes, i think solo play really highlights the strengths and weaknesses of each class. Ill get there though... unless i die (trial of iron coz im sadistic like that) and grats btw
  24. I think this is a bit of a variable question. It depends how much you spend, money is limited so if you try to buy everything you will be broke (see the all the griefing on the figurine nerf), however if you are relatively conservative you will have more than enough money
