Is stun lock really meant to be this debilitating? I mean even if i prepare it seems its totally down to luck if i win a 1v1 with a phantom because I spend like 5 minutes w**king in a corner. Then in other fights he misses a few stuns and I burst him down in no time, its just seems retarded? is it because obsidian hate us soloers?

If heavy hitter get past my fighter he will receive 2x mind plague or other cc. That will be no problem. Thats why difficulty is important though, PoTD all stats are raised so its much harder to give mobs satus effects, my monk has a knock prone that works maybe a third of the time Did you even read what I said? 2x mind plague with +40 acc bonus is more then enough... i have 49 accuracy and i miss more than half the time

the main room my god Im thinking i need to go get some fire scrolls lol, therer is no way i can survive 5 phantoms and i dont see a way to split pull them AHHHHH just got inside with priest. left of the door is a choke point where only 2 fight you. maybe that will help you. yea i can almost afford the figurine, think im gonna go raiding on raedrics castle for some shiny armor to sell in town, let the raid begin!!

Agree 100%- despite the combo above being super powerful it was super boring to play, all they do is chant and summon xD, even gave them bows to liven it up a bit but it doesnt really make a difference 80% of the damage comes from the summons and no one hits hard enough to kill 5 phantoms in 12 seconds

He will get shield deflection bonus to reflex, the only problem will be fortitude saves. Just slap a +saves item on it and get the +10 to fort saves and the +10 against stun talents and you should be fine even on PotD. Instead of 10 mig/con I would go with 3 mig/17 con. If you go chanter you can still use summons and they will deal a lot of damage (especially wurms). And you would get fairly good endurance too. yea the problem is when the rolls fail if he will have a large enough health pool so survive, some of the heavy hitting caster can burst you down in like two spells,n having said that i suspect that is less of a problem with a team and on lower difficulties

What i find funny is how by removing figurine from play they have basically encouraged us to abuse the ai, im doing the exact same thing with the tethering, its just a bit sad to have to resort to it. Im all for a challenge but there is simply no way to escape the stunlock, its crazy that they get a free stun on every auto attack, it makes them 100 times more difficults that other monsters of the same level. and same again if raedric proves too hard im just gonna kill his cousin instead even though id much ratehr side with the less insane lord

My mentality is if im going to invest so many hours in a solo run i want the bragging rights of the hardest difficulty My original plan was to hit level 12 and hire 5 companions but now im going for a pure solo run, no companions after the prologue at all, in fact im making a point of killing them before i even talk to them lol

Simple, you are playing probably the second worse class for DPS in game, priests are great with larger groups as they have many buffs and heals that work over a large area and they start to pick up the pace at higher levels with stronger spells but yea you really shouldnt be relying on your priest to do any damage at all, hell most fights when i have a prist i dont even bother making him autoattack. If you want an OP build try running with 4 custom created chanters with 4 intel and 18 con 18 res 18 per. get each of them running a different buff and get the phantom summon on all of them. give them shields and the heaviest armour you can find. engage, kite/wait for ten seconds, cast 4 summons=win, phantom summon is probably the strongest level one spell in the game, up there with slicken for sure but unlike slicken it can be cast every 12 seconds. For a build with 4 chanters in it this means 4 phantoms and even though its only 1 summon per chanter that one summon effectively has infinite life because you can resummon it when it gets low (and very few monster can kill it before you are ready to resummon it. I full cleared raedrics keep with this build at level 3/2 and it didnt require anything more difficult than spamming summon phantoms, oh and making sure you dont get swarmed (always fight with your back to a wall)

If anyone from Obsidian is reading this, can you please confirm whether the horn figurine was indeed nerfed purely solo POTD players? As someone may have pointed out, it barely even affects group players since they can get an optimal stat 250 gold adventurer instead. That one change seems to almost single-handedly make solo triple crown impossible for most classes because you can't do Caed Nua without the figurine or a class that can tank 5+ spirit enemies simultaneously -- as far as I know. I mean, it's Obsidian's game so they can do whatever they want, but the motivation for that particular change is very odd to me. Yea i was raging about that earlier, ive resorted to mugging any npc where i can get away with it with no-one seeing, killed azoth eder and the priest, im even doing the blacksmiths quest for him he better throw in a free figurine. I mean when i first found out i killed everyone in the village in case it was a hidden drop , would have been worth it if it had dropped. Yea i pointed that out a couple of pages back, figurine was worth 600 gold for 99% of players as it was basically like having a summoner on your team which when you have 3-6 characters isnt that significant, at least not more so than the other gear you can buy in there so this nerf seems targete at the 1 % who wanted a bit of a challenge. well we got out ****ong challenge, desperate times call for desperate measures, I wanted to be the hero of this world and now I am the shadow in the night if you will not give me the figurine I will take it by force. What really makes no sense to me is nerfing hte horn so hard but leavng the obviousy more OP chanter summons alone i mean hello 1 phantom every 12 seconds =50hp every 12 seconds, and its spamable for years and years. I mean dont get me wrong we are still going to beat the game but its gonna take longer and i no longer trust this forum as a place to share strategy, whats the point sharing strategies if all they do is troll these pages looking for things to nerf. I mean fix the bugs before you nerf things that dont need nerfing

to the people saying barbarians are too squishy i ask you what game are you playing lol XD, dump some plate on them and they are good to go, yea they have less staying power than fighters but in my experience by the time they are getting close to low health the fight is waaay over already (PoTD) having said that that is assuming you run with a dealer present be that a druid or a priest or even a paladin (paladins are basically big meat shields anyway not gonna do any damage might as well do some healing
