yea i saw that, trying to avoid it coz its obviously not working as intended but i might give it a quick try, works for hatchet as well, its not perfect as you dont keep the +2 damage but the accuracy difference is crazy. plus with hatchet that 5 deflection, thats like having a shield you can attack with I take it all back its crap do not try this, you dont attack with your fist and the hatchet you only attack witht he hatchet lol

If you are looking to min max then you should dump dex and intel as chanters get very little out of either, though maybe keep intel at about 8 so your shouts hit two rows of enemies. If you are just looking to have a healthy build what you have is fine, i would dump dex though, chants are instant and invocations have tiny cast times anyway, as a chanter you arent gonna do much damage with sword and board chanter anyway so there is no real reason to have any points in dex at all

compare chanter summons to any other spell of equal or comparable power. How many spells are there out there that you can cast as many times as you want? the only class i can think of is monks and their spells cost them wounds, chanters are the only class with unlimited access to powerful spells (monks only have a finite amount of wounds before they die). Hell it would be like if rangers got a spell to revive their pet that has a 12 second cooldown, or if fighters got to cast their knockdown another 5 times, unlimited summons=unlimited health. Phantoms have 50 or so health, so its basically 50 free hp every 12 seconds, imagine if priests had a spamable heal like that.

Exactly, the point isnt that summons are too powerful when played as intended its that you can cheese yor way to victory by stacking a team with mostly or all chanters, i mean intel does nothing for melee based chanters really so there is nothing to stop you rolling 6 chanters with 18 con 18 res and 18 per, they have a passive heal (not sure if it stacks or not) and so there is basically no way you can loose using this trick, it turns PoTD into easy mode As far as I can tell (I ran a chanter tank main) the chants don't stack. So an all chanter party would be seriously, seriously weak at high difficulties in boss fights. You can run different chants, a 6 man chanter party would have buffs on reflexes, movement speed, aoe damage, fortitude buff, 0.9x on damage etc etc. As someone who has actually played with multiple chanters i can say from experience it is like turning easy mode on, and that is without this exploit. And apparently the costs in stores for them are now sky high. MMO disease again. This is a change i really disagree with, figurines in normal play are in no way worth 6000, they are life saving when soloing but it basically stops 99% of players from bothering with them. To be clear i don't suport changes targeted at the 1%, i just see obvious exploits that need fixed.

Not added, I got the same amu before the patch. 250? What inn and what permasummon? Have you even tried the game on solo PotD? he means you can make a custom character for 250 gold bronze figurine was an item for min maxers and only really shone in solo play where it double the size of your party, in group runs it was only a mildly useful item, this nerf is specific to people who are trying to solo the game

I think it should, depends i think it might be a bit of a stretch as by the time you have wurms most mobs will be hitting hard enough to kill them at a decent rate so you would have to recast quite often. Its hard to say without trying it but when i got will o wisps i noticed that they were barely an improvement over phantoms and take 4 chants to cast. I might try this before it inevitably get patched over but im jsut having too much fun with my monk

If you dont see the problem you obviously havnt tried rolling 6 chanters all with summons, its probably the most broken build there is, kite for 12 seconds and then clear the entire dungeon without breaking a sweat because you literally have an unlimited supply of summons= an unlimited supply of hp, when you factor in how much damage summons do this is simply broken. The only fights that are even remotely challenging are fights in enclosed spaces and even then they are only challenging for 12 seconds, as long as you survive those 12 seconds its easy. Turn off auto attack and have one summon tanking some low dmg mobs hits and use the other 5 summons to clear the entire dungeon. Its an exploit that needs to be fixed, the infinite HP pool of summons and the high damage of phantoms is balanced by the 12 seconds at the start of combat before you can cast a summon, by chain pulling the entire dungeon this bypasses this weakness and means a 6 summoner team can cheese their way to victory. I cleared raedrics keep with a level 2 chanter, 3 level 1 chanters a level 1 priest and a level one druid, and i wasnt even usng this trick. Summons are OP when they are working as intended, let along when they are expoilted

SO ive only got a few hours with the new patch and ive got to say wtf... so many stealth nerfs were in it im genuinely considering reverting to the old patch. The one that annoys me the most is the huge changes that some items have undergone. I mean if this is how balanced they are supposed to be then why the hell were they so much cheaper in the last version? bronze figurine has had its cost has increased by a factor of 10, it hasnt gotten 10 times better it is the exact same item its like the devs suddenly thought 'you know what i only just noticed but bronze figurine is actually really OP, lets wack the price waaaaay up' This and the dissapointer is now worth basically nothing. I dont think that the new prices are wrong as such i just think is crazy how much the values changed. I mean did they not do any balance testing prior to release at all???? I mean i sold the disappointer on my very first character and thought it was a nice little easter egg, a worthless gun that sells for loads. Why the total 180 in balance? At some point in development someone decided to set the prices as they were and it feels like that person just got fired and replaced by someone who is much more stingy with money. Rant over- more on topic what can i do now for early game gold. The figurine was really important for solo play, even going on a killing spree and selling everything i dont think i can afford 6000 gold, and if i do ill be gimping myself in terms of buying anything else, i mean fair enough it is probably worth more than any other early game item but now i just dont see how i can afford it at all

I dont want an exp bonus for playing higher difficulties I just was dissapointed that all this patch seemed to bring was nerfs and a couple of minor buffs. As for what I consider cheating I guess split pulling is at my very high end of what i consider fair play, and only then because it makes the game possible to solo, i mean you are just picking off the enemy one at a time, infitine prones takes that a step further and makes what should be very hard fights laughably easy as you wont get hit once. I mean the game limits you to a certain number of spells per encounter/rest to balance combat. I dunno it is a difficult line to draw but looking at that picture you linked i cant think anything other than thats game breaking, how can any opponent, even the end boss hope to kill you if they are prone for the entire fight.
