  1. I think the main issue here is that they changed the mechanic and not the description of it on the wiki or anywhere. It still says on the description that it mitigates damage which is just flat out not true. I mean when there are several guides etc out there saying that wounds do one thing it would be good to explain how they actually work somewhere visible.

Please make it harder." - Neither of those grant you the right to speak on balance for the rest of us. You can report the exploit, but that would be about it since you got no experience in actually playing the game on PotD but rather on how to exploit your way through it without actually dealing with the content in a reasonable way. why are you so angry and mean? I think he issue is the line we were talking about earlier, i consider all the things i do to be min maxing and i try to avoid things that I see as breaking the game

  5. i doubt it is possible lol, priest lacks any damage early on so i just think it is unlikely it is at all possible. i usually kill the two companions but as far as the achievement is concerned solo means no companions after the prologue and that is what i was considering it, the only reason i kill my companions is to squeze out the extra exp
  6. lol cant solo priest whilst also trying to kill everyone, the extra exp you get from soloing the prologue is a drop in the ocean, like you lose something like 400 exp? by level 3 thats less than 10% of your exp, in fact you only lose 200 exp if you do it two person lol

Im still doing my monk, im cautious about posting specifics because I now suspect 'they' are watching you would think that they wouldnt care about a small group of insane people trying to solo a game clearly balanced for teams XD, i mean in group play there is no way that the figurine is worth 6000 gold, but in solo its worth every penny i mean thats all im saving up for now :'(
  9. you are gonna be fine for most fights but any casters that target fortitude or reflexes is gonna hit you relatively hard, deflection is great early game but hwen you start encounteringa wider range of opponents you need resistnaces to everything, i would go moon godlike and put 14 points in con and 12 might, maybe dump dexterity and pump con. These just go so well with moon godlike, you essentially double your hp because you get 3 heals that heal you back to full HP (well the 25% one almost does

Some of them are not so bad, some of them are garbage, i always make my own, eg 6 moonl godike barbarians, turn auto attack on, go afk, come back and move them to next encounter, 6 moonlike with 18 might and 18 con= 18 heals that will bring everyone still standing back to pretty much full hp, thats 18 heals and high aoe dps. And yea that wild orlan is never gonna die, problem with orlans is their model is small so its harder to block ai pathing with them means its easier for mobs to get to your back line

A custom team can be made 20 times better than the compainion teams I mean aside from the companions generally being poorly optimised some build are just so OP that levels dont really matter, for example my 5 chanter 1 druid build could probably handle the quests Im doing now at level 6 without breaking a sweat, i mean i just walked into raedrics keep at level two, went straight from prologue to inn, then from inn to the castle. (this is in PoTD trial of iron mode, i have yet to come close to dying well i almost died when i was playing with a different build which is why i switched back to 5 chanters (5 because poer level of chant there are 5 different chants so with this build i have all 5 level one chants running all the time and after 12 seconds i get 5 phantoms that absolutely destroy anyone.) Also the way this build works you jsut have to build your chanters tanky enough to survive the first 12 seconds then it really doesnt matter, before I was just summoning then i went afk, now ive optimised them and made them into ranged archers (ranged because with 5 phantoms they often cant reach the opponent)
  12. monks gain a wound every 8/10 (with or without lesser wounds) points of damage they take, it doesnt matter what the source is but if you need to attack your own monk for them to get wounds you are playing them wrong lol, basically you should be getting wounds as fast as you can cast torment, so as a tank thats usually plate armor, but against weaker foes you can drop it down a notch to mail or even leather

LOL bro, pretty sure I just read somewhere else that they made that combat only in the new patch so you can't prebuff with it! oh, doh, i can't patch yet cuz i'm on GOG not steam. somethign similar still might be possible with another class though. If you are planning on rerolling wait to patch until you buy the figurine and sell the useless gun in prologue Doing those two things makes the entire game so much easer
  14. chanters can easily be fixed without hurting them for normal play. like the vision fix i suggested, where they don't create their own vision. this issue isn't about you and your playstyle, and fixing it won't affect you, so don't worry. although i do also think chanters are OP with normal play and the devs might want to nerf that. This thread made me switch back to my chanter play through... god its so easy, its still PoTD but god... Its soooooo easy
  15. I dont have a thing for crippling it... are you joking? Ive spent more time playing with chanters than any other class lol and thats why i know that this exploit is OP. limiting the number of summons to say 4 per encounter would not affect normal game play in the slightest, as if a fight is lasting that long something funny is going on so explain to me how that is crippling the class, similarly why do summons need vision? unless you are using this exploit why would they need to see seperately to the chanter, they arent supposed to stay active and scout the map after the encounter ends. Do you not see how OP it is to have an unlimited health pool of 50 HP every 12 seconds per chanter? with 6 chanters that's 300 HP, no enemy in the game ive encountered can out dps that, not to mention that the phantoms themselves hit for a sizeable amount of damage and you can even further increase this damage if you give your chanters bows and specialise them for ranged combat. No other build even comes close to being as strong, not to mention speedbuffs mean you can kite forever anyway, and the combined resistances that are basically free.
  16. Those situations are relatively predictable, though, so switching before engaging isn't out of the question. no i meant someone suggested you switch to the weapon set whenever you have torment available and i was saying that would slow your dps by a huge amount

  18. so ive found day three level three the hidden item by the wolves in valewood is rotward amulet-half the ticks from poison and disease, nice against spiders
  19. when you switch weapons there is a delay before you can cast making me doubt if this would work. Having tested it a bit now i think that some fights where most of your dps is coming from torments (ie where you are suffering from wounds at a fast enough rate to spam it) this pays off, especially if you have a good weapon in you offhand. However in slower fights more of your damage comes from autoattacks and doing this gimps your dmg from auto attacks
  20. Not sure he is playing PoTD so fortitude may not be as important. The isue here is that ciphers have so little HP imo. Have you been split pulling OP?
  21. ohhh ok so it makes you autoattacks rubbish but buffs torments reach. hmm so the best way to make use of this would be to find he lowest accuracy weapon out there and put it in your offhand
  22. So im really stuck both items are cool and i just cant decide which one is better. So to compare side by side one of them seems to have the edge as you can get it earlier in the game but it is a really close call. The question is which dog should i have? I mean the black one is sweet and no-one was looking after her even though she has a pub named after her and the yellow one costs money and looks slightly off color but that just makes it more unique. Need help pls.
  23. Remember where it dropped? I went minimum effort in Temple so far, but knowing that is in there is tempting. So did they remove the +5% or whatever it was that we got before or they just didn't give the +10% from the patch and left it at 5%? Anyone who completes this insane, tedious, did I mention insane, (but fun) challenge will have cheesed it up. Exploit is an exploit, no sense calling some "fair". The game was designed around a party. Good luck to all my fellow cheesers out there. Yeah we're probably going to have to go underground with this if we ever actually want to do it or they'll figure out how to nerf everything out of Act 2. The horn nerf is just... wow. it hasnt stopped the perfect party at all, i still have 1000 gold every time i arrive if i wasnt soloing I would do just that. I feel like we need to make a mod that will let us all play together with our min maxed op game breaking soloers They'd find a way to nerf it when they found out we're having fun thats why i took to steam chat got some pro tips from someone on here, not so uch exploits but moreabout how to best play, guys level 11 and isnt even using exploits XD
  24. The fact that you only attack with one hand makes it useless anyway as 1 one handed weapon is pretty lackluster. I mean the only thing you gain is an accuracy buff to the one hander you have.
