Gameplay 14min
M4xw0lf replied to adam77's topic in The Outer Worlds: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
This ticks so many of the important boxes. I guess my biggest complaint (and it's not a really big one) are in fact the facial animations. Not exactly TW3 level, but still a better than Andromeda, it seems. -
GOG/DRM free

You know we're getting Windows store, right. -
KotOR III and New Vegas 2 when?

I'm hoping for the best, i.e., Obsidian allowed to continue producing their type of game, but with increased resources.

Right. My bad for assuming that the people clamoring for an increased level cap wanted more than to see the little number go up. Yes, the cost of developing new abilities, creating animations for them, several QA passes for balance, a narrative pass or two for higher level skill checks, etc is what I was referring to. It's a psychological effect. Seeing a little number go up would be sufficient to keep some people actively engaged in the game when they would otherwise loose interest. Meanwhile, I hit level 18 when I reached Ukaizo in my last playthrough. *shrug* Bloody speedrunners *shakes fist*

The two attacks per reload + destroy lower level vessel on second hit of the Red Hand is a bit ridiculous, especially when you get driving flight later on. I went to Poko Kohara at a rather high level and my frontliners were storming the titan, when suddenly, he simply wasn't there anymore. Didn't even get the cool destruction animation.

Thank you for reading my post in it's intended state. I was hoping to spark a discussion with another audience like I did on reddit. I'm still hopeful this is possible. To anyone reading my posts, sorry if im coming of abrasive. It just sucks when you put a lot of effort into something and then people take a big **** on it. I appreaciate your effort on these lists, but you have to realize that this here is the place where the most in-depth discussions on Pillars' game mechanics are led, and where people will be interested in using every single item to its fullest potential. Under these conditions your lists are bound to fail, because you cannot hope to compile all the best use cases for every single unique item within a lifetime (at least as someone who is not paid to do this for 40 hours a week).
