On my current brute plus party, I get healing from constant recovery, Life in Death (Blackened Plate), Exalted Endurance, Pale Light. Add to that chants from two chanters, set up so that always one of them is chanting more healing stuff (Mercy and Kindness -> Old Siech / Ancient Memory). That's a metric ****ton of healing.

I'm very sure those checks were not Watcher-only for me, at least not all. I specifically remember boosting Tekehu's religion skill with drugs to pass the check. So I guess at least party assist must have worked.

Tests of the TR 2950X (16c/32t) and 2990WX (32c/64t) will be out next monday, but of course the improvements we're going to see are clear from comparing the 1800X and 2700X (at least for the 2950X - the 2990WX comes with the small boon of double the cores ^^).

Herald (Paladin/Chanter) is still extremely tanky, with all the gratuitous healing they have available. Plus they can make the whole party tankier too.

Hey there. Some issues I ran into today in the Rimebound Temple area: Game went unresponsive after the fight with snow bears (including Mama bear), the place where you can pick up the bear cub Fjord. Everything seemed normal after the fight, but I could not use map transition, or save the game (either quicksave or manual save). Reload worked and fixed the problem. Second issue appeared when I wanted to enter the eastern cavern lower level. Loading screen returned me to the main menu and issued an error message to the extent of 'problem with loading the next map, returned to main menu to avoid savegame corruption'. Again, relaoding and attempting the map transition again fixed the issue.

Did you play the same game for 20 years? It's common for DLC to require/come with new game versions.

On lower levels some boarding battles can be absolute suicide.

Shooting enemy ships to bits is a nice source of XP and monies.

It's a merchant ship (cyan symbol on the world map), but with a named captain. Don't think it has anything to do with Beast of Winter. I visited the ship to shop, then I sunk it, got a disappointingly small amount of loot, reloaded, and then murdered the crew to take all the stuff. Tenacious buggers.

Using GoG Galaxy, I had the option to "buy" it (for free, like with the other free DLCs) and it then appeared in the list of DLCs. However, it appeared as a string of numbers instead of with its name (likewise for Beast of Winter, far as I can tell.) Ah yeah, had to 'buy' it first, thanks

Where or when can we get 'the deck of many things'? Can't see it on the GoG downloads page so far.
