Udyne has gone missing.
M4xw0lf replied to ericfate's question in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I had the same issue, but I could fix it: I waited for a day or so in the upstairs section of the bathhouse; upon returning to the ground floor, she was there. -

You do any of Maia’s side quests? Yes, but we don't get to actually influence any of that, do we? We either help her or we don't, and we only learn the significance of it in the ending slides. -

Then tell me where we can nudge things in the right direction, excluding the final decision of who you give the macguffin. I am btw not talking about changing the course of giants (be it Eothas or any of the 4 major factions), but even decisions at a very small scale are much too sparse. My favorite example is the plucked fruit quest (because I know it from backer beta and always had hoped it would be more fleshed out in the full game). The only thing you can decide is which of two guys gets killed - the well-meaning thief or the innocent ****. But why can't we change something fundamental in the small and isolated worldspace of this village? Why can't we either -convince the village elders that planting the koiki fruit would be smart, damn tradtions; or -return the stolen koiki but give more of the stuff to the thief so he can plant it secretly. Instead we just let one guy die and the food shortage continues. The only quest that kind of works like this is finding a source of food for the gullet. -

Am I really the only person who doesn't have a problem with the story, at all? It's primarily a story of the factions fighting over Deadfire with the equivalent of the industrial revolution raging in the background and a hugeass naked god destabilizing the fragile balance of power that existed in the region. It's not that different from Fallout: New Vegas, hailed as the greatest RPG since sliced bread was invented. Correct, but the problem is that you don't get half the influence on anything that you could have in New Vegas. The background is there, the scene is set, but in the end there is just too little choice and consequence for the player. -
I made the basically same thread a while ago ^^ https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/98920-party-management-atm-is-a-crime-against-humanity/

Watcher-specific skills

I just noticed that I got Raiment of Death's Herald this time around instead of Mien. Sympathy for the lost stayed the same. I think I chose slightly different dialogue options for the encounter with Eothas in Hasongo. -
Greetings, I have seen this problem discussed before, and today I also ran into it. The solution probably requires having spoken to Enoi in the Gullet for the 'Food for thought' quest line. Problem A: going through the old City ruins and trying to leave via the Undercroft without having been invited leads to everybody being hostile upon detection. Bad for Principi reputation. Two exits are available: a boat to the Queen's Berth, an elevator to Delver's Row. Problem B: boat is hard to reach without being detected and possibly sets the entirety of Mad Morena's crew against you. Problem C: elevator to Delver's Row is way easier to reach without detection (across the river by rope, sneak past the few guards), BUT in Delver's Row the elevator is guarded by Dereo's thugs who will turn hostile if you haven't been to Delver's Row and haven't worked with Dereo up to the point where you would have access. Super bad for Delver's Row reputation. Solution: do not get detected after arriving in Delver's Row with the elevator, but immediately take the elevator down again. NOW let them detect you - a dialogue should open, where you can pass a bluff check to see Mad Morena and talk to her about food for the Gullet. After that you can leave to the Queen's Berth without problems. This took me 15 minutes of trial and error saved me from reloading a save from before over 1,5h spent in the old City ruins. Phew. ^^

The positives

SSD or HDD? Framerates and loading times are not necessarily related, and reducing graphics quality is absolutely not expected to decrease loading times significantly. -
The positives

I appreciate many things about Deadfire and despite being mainly critical in various threads in here, I had (/am having) lots of fun playing the game. So to list a few of my highlights: -Companions' banter and overall presence in dialogue and interactions. The full companions feel a lot more part of the world and present in various situations than in PoE1 and many other games, that's great. -Multiclassing. Already been named a lot by others, and I'm no exception. Multiclassing and Subclasses more or less make up for the decreased number of general talents, and the sheer number of possible combinations keeps fiddling with builds interesting. -Enchantments on unique items. I really love the new truly unique enchantment options. The only downside to it is that soulbounds seem less attractive for it, they need more love, more interesting stuff. -Locations. While many have criticized the small and repetitive maps while exploring, I feel that lots of the unique locations are extremely cool, visually and thematically - also something where PoE1 wasn't very strong apart from a few instances. All in all there is a lot of stuff to like. -

Concelhauts comforting blanket of fluffiness! Powerful, but no match against Arkemyr's Utterly Boring Fireball, or Arkemyr's Anti-Climactic Lightning Bolt! :D What does it do though? I can't stand the tension! -

Not at all, I'm sure cool things could be done with 'blessings' of Wael. Maybe something like the wild wasteland trait from NV (maybe less 4th wall breaking, maybe exactly like that ^^). -

FO4 had over 2/3 the sales of FO3 and NV combined. And was less than 1/3 as good. -

I don't know why they misspell it. How hard is it to spell Boyrerer? It's Börör, fool! You'd actually have to pronounce it that way in German -
You realize that Alpha Protocol is absolutely nothing like PoE or Deadfire, right? I mean, you might enjoy it regardless, but IMO it's among Obsidian's weakest offerings (the other being Dungeon Siege III, for very different reasons). If you mean that Deadfire makes you want to check out Obs' other games then I'd suggest starting with Fallout: New Vegas. IMO it's their Magnum Opus. Neverwinter Nights 2 and its expansions are also good, but a bit rough around the edges in terms of camera / controls (though both can be tweaked to preference through .ini files) and you might want some mods to improve the archaic UI. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords is a very interesting take on Star Wars and The Force but, again, mods are recommended to restore cut content and flesh out the ending. South Park: The Stick of Truth is a lot of fun, well polished, and something completely different than all of the above. IMHO, KOTOR II is the the best thing they've ever done so far. It's buggy as **** and virtually unplayable without the mods to fix it, but once that's done it is one of the best Star Wars stories ever told, period. KotOR II is tied with Fallout New Vegas for my all time favorite RPG.

How long did it take you to figure out all those anagrams? All the time it took me to put "anagram generator" into google!
