Had the same issues with the Fampyrs, made those encounters the only challenge of the whole game. :D Only Eder managed to resist these attacks reliably. Pallegina was 50/50. Everyone else was dominated most of the time against regular Fampyrs and all the time against the named ones (on splintered reef). I only managed one or two fights because my Witch main character mowed down the Fampyr boss with friendly fire from Berserker frenzy and WoteP aoe + carnage while dominated.

So, upon our second meeting with Eothas (Hasongo), he says something along the lines of 'I still have need of your soul, but I can give up this small part'. After the end of the conversation I went to my character sheet excitedly and found... absolutely nothing. I thought that at this point the watcher should regain some of the PoE1 quest reward abilities like the boon from the blood pool, scale breaker, Llengrath's boon, etc... Was I just unlucky that none of the things my Pillars 1 save contained is qualified for restoration in Deadfire? What abilities did you get?

I used Soul Annihilation+'always true' for the majority of the game, for the end game I now modified it to 'has at least 90 Focus'. Works flawlessly. I even let the AI use leap, with 'target: has allies in range >1' + 'is spellcaster', plus some cooldown time, and it makes my Witch jump to the enemies' backline and wreak havoc among them nicely.

Yeah, I wrote it in another thread on this topic; enchantments are in general organized like skill trees with alternative upgrades. Most of the time you can guess which enchantments will be mutually exclusive (the ones that modify similar things, but for example one in an offensive and one in a defensive manner), but it remains guesswork, which is stupid. Another thing I found: There are actually different enchantment "recipes". I stole the Kraken eye from the Kraken's Eye tavern and found another one somewhere, and these two Kraken eyes can be used to enchant weapons to superb (maybe only 2H, not sure), without further cost of cp or other ressources. The standard enchantment with money/gem/alchemy stuff still shows up next to it.

What’s weird to me is that the faction I have a purple rep with has 4 underneath. Is that 4 good or bad? It’s confusing to me. I guess it shows the highest rank, which would be +4 in your case. But you have also done some things to anger this faction, so you are anywhere between -1 and -3 on the negative scale, thus giving you a purple line.

Should I buy a ship?

I find it a bit sad that the stewart doesn't get any new lines, ever. She doesn't? That IS sad. Not in the 40 hours I've played. Of course I haven't advanced the main plot very far, but I have no reason to assume this will change anything. -

I find it a bit sad that the stewart doesn't get any new lines, ever. Why put her into the game at all for just one dialogue at the very beginning, when her role in the plot (buying a ship salvaging a few things from the rubble of the castle) makes more sense for a person with arms and legs anyways? -

Therefore I named it 'Conqueror' But... but... that only makes it worse! The junk conqueror, what's not to like? -

Should I buy a ship?

I bought a Voyager first because it's the fastest ship, I liked that for going exploring for the first time. The Voyager also is the only ship that can shoot facing forward, while being the hardest to hit. Later I upgraded to the Junk, with all the ship upgrades it's a swimming fortress and an adequate home for my crew. -
Lol are you sure? I took single salvo's from the BiB ship that could sink a voyager even with +15 hp hulls. Also they don't have any legendary loot , superb maybe. Well I got , and I'm quite sure they did have some legendary pieces on them. I got to them without a single salvo fired at me, or at least without being hit, maybe the encounter was bugged.

Exactly this! I'm playing a godlike Cipher myself, so little use for perception, and both Eder and Ydwin, the only available rogues, have 11 and 15 perception. So for my next playthrough I'll have to ditch Eder for Ydwin to be able to find most traps if I'm not playing a rogue myself. (Because to me it makes sense to have the rogue sneaking around, picking locks/pockets and finding/disarming traps) Multi Maia into Ranger/Rogue. I think she has 16 Per? Very decent. She also takes care of the mechanics for me.

Plucked Fruit...WHAT?
M4xw0lf replied to Ildun's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I'm not. It's basically frame a piece of filth and let him die to help a noble worker save his people or save an innocent man. Definitely one of the better morally ambiguous quests. Though admittedly it took me five seconds to make up my mind which was the correct option after having played through the quest so many times in the beta. **** Tamua. I wanted a solution without anyone dying and possibly improving the food situation for the village.
