Yeah, I also go for the Jedi flair. For me that entails devastating melee wielding a great sword without shield with added mystical powers - Deadfire's Witch class fits that bill rather well. But I could also imagine going for Monk/Cipher, because Jedi are also quite monastic.

I started Deadfire on Veteran, but for the first time ever I'm thinking about going PotD, as right now the game seems not very challenging. Well, let's see a few patches on.

Yeah u are right about bloodthirst, it’s exactly the same as PoE 1, will remove it to the list. So it's not actually giving you 10s of 0 recovery, but just one instant recovery? fml. I think I'll already have to revert some of my current build choices.

I'm pretty sure Eder is an Eothasian through and through - but only devoted to the god of his childhood, not to the one leading an army into war or devastating the land as a 100 ft high living statue. So I'd say there is no conflict there, and probably no bug.

I wanted a Barb/Cipher and I'm playing a Barb/Cipher (of course I tried around 15 different characters during the beta ). In the back of my mind I'm always counting pros and cons for other class combinations to try on another playthrough, though.

Stats, please? And if you could, what are your starting stats? I think it was something like: MIG - 14 CON - 10 DEX - 12 PER - 14 INT - 15 RES - 10 This is not in any way an optimized build, it's mostly for flair and role playing reasons. Low deflection and not too great health are the obvious weak points.

I'm playing a great sword wielding Witch (Berserker+Soulblade). Quite squishy indeed, but viable on veteran difficulty.

I didn't think I would care so much for the full VO, but after putting a few hours into the game, I find it enhances my experience of the atmosphere and characters a lot, way more than I anticipated (even while I don't like all the choices of accent, for example). Ah, and the voiced narrator during main quest sequences was one step too far. Does not diminish the great job the voice actors did, of course.

Hi all, I encountered a bug (I strongly suspect) related to saving Oswald from the cult of Woedica in the Oathbinder's Sanctum. I stumbled across this siutation without having the related quest, killed the cultists, and took Oswald with me (he appears on my roster of known sailors, too). Later I found the lady who could start the quest for you, but to her questions about Oswald I could only report his death, and could not resolve her problem.

Ah, I even thought you could choose just ONE of the options, including quality. Great to know you can pick quality and one of the cool special enchantments.

Oh god, I *want* to ship Edér and Xoti so badly. Right from the first line it's like they're made for one another. I find this rather cute, actually. Way better than romancing her myself :D
