  1. Nah, I have lots of fun with my Witch. He's a bit squishy, but has dealt as much damage as the rest of my party together at this point.
  2. It attacks twice. Target first, aoe second (attacking the target again and anything in its vicinity) with the same full attack and related effects. It's quite awesome.
  3. to confirm when i tried to enter both day and night they said its closed, at a later date it opened back up but cannot be sure when. Then it's probably in fact related to the main quest. I was able to enter during the day before the audience in the palace, but Pallegina obviously wasn't there at this point. Nope, got there in the morning around 10 am, could simply walk in.
  4. Damn, I had nearly forgotten about it!
  5. You drag and drop food items into the slots next to your player and companion portraits.
  6. Ah, thanks. Though at this point I'm asking myself if that possibility was just an oversight, a leftover from the beta
  7. So, I need to be on my ship to change party composition. To be on ship i need to leave the port of whatever location I'm at right now. Standing literally besides my ship apparently is not enough to call one of my parked companions out to the dock. Changing one party member at a certain location makes you go through two loading screens at least (or even four? out of port->to deck->back to map->back to port?) And then you notice you forgot to take that one item off the guy you just sent onto the ship... Seriously guys, I believe we couldn't come up with a much worse solution for party management if we actively tried. /rant over Suggested fixes: -Have party composition accessible from land (obviously), if you're in the same City as your ship, or at least on the same map as your ship. -Under these conditions, let us have access to everybody's inventories, regardless whether they are in the party or parked.
  8. I'm running a witch with whispers of the endless paths and draining whip, and he builds focus very fast. If I didn't love soul annihilation so much, I could spam cipher powers all day long.
  9. Ah, TW3, the mindless dotted trail-following simulator. Easy fix for that: turn off dotted trails. You forgot the little detail that the game is unplayable without that; it's built around that trail. Even the devs stated that it's not playable without it. You are talking about the dotted trail on the minimap, right? Yes, but it's not limited to that. The problem also manifests as step-by-step instructions when it comes to quests, every quest involving holding R2 and activating glowing objects. It's just overall brainless gameplay. Better than I could explain it: https://img.fireden.net/v/image/1486/42/1486422191070.png TW3 is everything wrong with modern RPGs. Ah, I see, you're one of those guys.

  11. Greetings. I ran into my weirdest Deadfire issue yet while clearing the hanging sepulchers on the hunt for Yseyr's eulogy. Upon entering the western tomb, I immediately noticed low frame rate, which is strange because it's a very small map of just the one room. I suspect the four burning braziers in the room as the source of the issue. Not a big problem so far, but: after spending a few minutes in the room, my PC simply shut down. This happened reproducibly, and I could somewhat alleviate the issue by moving the camera so that the braziers were out of the picture, so I could kill the undead and leave the room again. So, apart from the issue with my PC (it shouldn't simply shut down in case of thermal problems, and I did ecperience this with The Witcher 3 before), I still am convinced that this room should be looked at, because I suspect it could cause problems for other users as well (especially when running the game on laptops, probably).

  13. Roughly ten hours in as well, and I too am currently clearing Neketaka. I'm loving it though, and I don't think there's too few battles, even within the city. Places like Arkhemyr's mansion, the old City, the tomb under Berath's temple, the in between the animancers send you to, all have a nice amount of combat, and some of them are the only challenging fights I have come across so far.

  15. I don't think this qualifies as a bug, you simply completed the quest without getting the maximum out of it. The mosaic he wants you to find is in the room before the two-conches-door.
  16. Two ladies standing literally in front of the building :D
  17. Hmm, probably Dereo needs to tell you about it first... so you must not show him the other conch before he sent you to get the one from Takano.
  18. You really need only the one conch to complete Dereo's quest, so I don't think anything is wrong there. You can get the other one to open the final room (which doesn't have too much interesting stuff) in the serpent's crown district from Takano in his estate.
  19. I could get the peaceful solution even though I had found the plot for the heist and also had shooed off the seamen from the tavern (?...I guess that was it). It was absolutely necessary to stay away from the dialogue options related to these family-specific sidequests, or they would go to war immediately.
  20. Hmm... what about Modwyr's 'eager lover' stacking bonus? Whispers of the endless paths has a similar enchantment available as upgrade.
  21. It didn't for me with my Witch PC. I later lost the option to trade secrets when I chose the joke secret of "I'm not really left-handed"
