  1. It's possible that BB Fighter had been victim of the Crystal Spiderling's petrification effect. This is caused if the character is struck and fails a fortitude save against the spider's poison. If you could attach a screenshot of the issue it would be very helpful in determining the cause. Thank you and please continue to enjoy the beta!
  2. Hello Logos, Thank you for your posting. We are still polishing and optimizing character creation and level up interfaces. This can cause it to be rather demanding at times, spiking in both memory and cpu usage and unfortunately resulting in crashes on certain pcs. We are working hard to make sure that the issue is resolved in future builds. If you are able to attach the output log to this post with your crash information it would be greatly appreciated! You should be able to find this at : \Steam\steamapps\common\Pillars of Eternity - Public Beta\PillarsOfEternity_Data\output_log.txt Thank you for your support and feedback during the backer beta!
  3. Hello pj4533, Using the boot camp partition is probably not the root cause, but it may be. We are still optimizing character creation and level up interfaces. This causes them to be rather demanding at times, spiking in both memory and cpu usage. (And sometimes causing crashes on certain pcs) Expect that the process should be much smoother as we continue to work towards a polished product. As always, thank you for your continued support and feedback!
  4. Hello all, While it is important that your drivers are up to date and your pc is running top notch, it should not be directly the cause of this issue. We are still optimizing character creation and level up interfaces. This causes it to be rather demanding at times, spiking in both memory and cpu usage. Expect that the process should be much smoother as we continue to work towards a polished product. As always, thank you for your continued support and feedback during the backer beta!
  5. Hello all, This issue should be already fixed in one of our newer builds. You should expect to see it no longer occurring in the next backer update. As always, thank you for your feedback and support during the beta!
  6. Hey there Billy O, It seems that you've noticed Hendyna's house has very thick walls and a secret laboratory built into the left side. I'll pass this feedback onto the designers to see what they can do! Thank you for your posting and please continue to enjoy the backer beta!
  7. Hello AdmiralHip, You can place items in your stash at any time. However, you are only granted access to your stash upon resting when using camping supplies. You cannot camp in town because that would be unacceptable to the townsfolk, but you may camp in the wilderness. When you do so, you will be presented with the option to access your stash and remove items from it. Thank you for your posting and please continue to enjoy the backer beta!
  8. Hello akaGryWolf, This is a known issue and we are working to resolve it. Thank you for your posting!
  9. Hello mrmonocle, This is currently a known issue and we are working to resolve it. Thank you for your posting!
  10. Hello Ninjaen, Nice catch and thank you very much for your posting. I will look further into this issue and make sure that it reaches the programmers. I hope you continue to enjoy the backer beta and thank you for your support!
  11. Hmm. I will take a look into this to be sure that the bug isn't more drastic than we had noticed. Could you perhaps have saved after loading from within a game, causing your journal to be permanently void of your quest information? The experience loss is actually nested in the fact that your quest information is being lost on loading from within a game. Once the quest information is gone, you won't receive proper experience for the quest updates. All of your feedback is wonderful, I hope you continue to enjoy the beta!
  12. This is actually a feature that we are putting in as a request for the programmers to implement. If implemented we aim to have a speed control for each form of scrolling, Middle Mouse, Screen Edge, and Key Bindings. Please be aware that there is also an issue where the scroll speeds may vary and sometimes be incredibly slow on certain maps. This is something that we expect to be fixed in a beta update if possible. There is also a "fast" mode that you can activate with the D key by default. No under water actions there I promise you! Thank you all for your feedback is is very helpful!
  13. Hello Bishop Vaughn, This is an issue related to loading a game while you are in game. It should perform correctly if you load your game from the main menu. We are working hard for a resolution to this issue as it is one of our top priorities. Thank you for your posting and your support during the beta!
  14. Hello all, This is an issue that will need a design decision. I'm not sure that there will be a way to "unsummon" creatures per say, but they may end up not being taken into account when meeting transition requirements. I will bring this issue to the attention of the designers so a solution can be found. Currently though, each character is intended to only be allowed to have one summon out at a time and, I believe, that the summon is expected to persist until destroyed unless otherwise stated. Thank you for your feedback it is very helpful!
  15. Hello PrimeHydra, This is a known persistence issue and is currently being addressed by the programmers. You should see a fix in a future update. Thank you for your support during the beta!
  16. Hello Issurru, Thank you for your posting. We are aware of this issue and you should see a resolution in a future update.
  17. Hello Aryvandaar, Thank you for your posting. Fortunately we are well aware of this issue and should be fixing it in future beta updates. I hope you are enjoying the beta and thanks for your support!
  18. Hello Doc V, Thank you for your posting. This is definitely an issue that is causing combat to have radical swings in difficulty. Fortunately we are aware of this persistence issue and are working hard to have it resolved in our next update. This bug should only be present in the map that you load into and should correct itself as you transition into other areas. Thank you for your support during the backer beta!
  19. This is not intended. The mouse scroll wheel should only affect the UI interface you are currently working within. Could you see if you can attach a save file with the issue? I don't believe this is part of our database yet and it appears that it is not affecting everyone, so there are likely steps to cause it to occur. Save files should be located at: C:\Users\ (USER NAME) \AppData\LocalLow\Obsidian Entertainment\Pillars of Eternity\Saves This is related to a known issue that is caused by saving the game. If you save the game, your scroll will will begin to scroll our ambient map effects as well as the fog of war. Transitioning or loading a game should fix this. Thank you all for your continued efforts during the backer beta!
  20. Hello Scorch, Thank you for your posting. This is a persistence issue that we are aware of and should be resolved in one of our future updates.
  21. Hello cdx, Thank you for your posting. We are aware of this issue and it is being evaluated by our programmers for a solution. You should see the bug resolved in one of our future updates. I hope you are enjoying the backer beta and thank you for your continued support!
  22. Hello fr0sty, Thank you for your feedback. This is currently an issue that we are aware of. Our Scouting Mode system is still being polished and will likely have a mild overhaul sometime in the near future which prevents this. As for the zooming issue, this is also known and related to saving and loading the game. This issue should be resolved in one of our next updates as this is one of our higher priority bugs. Thank you for your posting and support during the backer beta!
  23. Hello LepusUmbrae, Thank you for your feedback. This is currently an issue that we are aware of. Our Scouting Mode system is still being polished and will likely have a mild overhaul sometime in the near future which prevents this. Thank you for your posting and support during the backer beta!
  24. Hello Sammael, Thank you for your posting and for providing your system specifications. This is an issue that is known to us and appears to be related to an error in loading assets properly. While we have seen this issue before, it is very helpful to have more information to supplement our bug reports. I will make sure this information is added to our database. Thank you for your continued support during the backer beta!
  25. Hello everyone, Thank you for your continued support during the beta. The issue described above is a persistence issue directly related to save/load. We are working towards a resolution and should have a fix for this in a future beta update. Thanks!
