one of our aunts turned 88 on the seventh, but she didn't answer her phone when we called her so we reached out to her 84 year old sister, just to make sure everything were ok. with somebody in their late eighties, you never know, eh? turns out everybody is fine, although the older aunt had a refrigerator give up the ghost (she lives alone and maintains two refrigerators and two large freezers *eye roll*) and the younger aunt's cat, a feline of eighteen years, has kidney problems. color us shocked. from the younger aunt we heard a great deal about the cat's health problems, and how joe biden was at fault for all the dirty, immigrant, homeless people down in los angeles. our older aunt most certain does not share her sister's views on homelessness, so the younger aunt unloaded on us. 'cause? what were weird were our aunt insisting how our father, when he were younger, looked "identical" to the host of fear factor... which didn't immediate register for us as we had literal never watched fear factor. joe rogan? ... had same reaction as axel same build, same facial features, same ability to do that exaggerated bug-eye stare. our father never lost his hair and were o' darker o' complexion, but otherwise a younger Gromnir sr. and a fear factor aged joe rogan with hair could ez pass as brothers. credit to our aunt as we had never seen the similarities until our she mentioned. weirder still, our aunt shared the fact our father loved to dance when he were young. apparently he danced all the time at home. our grandfather wired stereo speakers into their basement so the our father and his two sisters could dance to music whenever they wanted to. our father competed in and won local and regional dance contests. our father were ex-military and the "ex" were something he never quite accepted. the dad we knew ate old horseshoes for breakfast and the only time we saw him smile were when he were about to hurt somebody, but he loved to dance? ... well, ok then. am mid-fifties and still learning things 'bout our immediate family. go figure. HA! Good Fun!3 points

This is a compilation of all skill checks found in the game. How it works The number on the left is the skill required. After that, there are three lines. The line associated with the skill check will be the first or the second; the others are there to provide context. The flow of the conversation is always top to bottom. Sometimes there isn't a line because the check is at the beginning/end of an interaction or it's a ghost node that immediately sends you elsewhere. Because of how conversations can diverge and converge, sometimes there are several options. If the text is in red, it means this is what you will see if you fail the skill check. Have this much skill to avoid that result. Scripted interactions only. The wrong line of the three may be highlighted, but it generally holds. What is Party Assist? Essentially, the party member attempting to pass a skill check uses their full skill plus a portion of the rest of the party's skill. Read more here. Future work Update current data with alternate ways to pass the skill checks. Update current data with additional requirements - some checks are AND/OR constructs. Proofreading info A skill comparison can be <=, <, > or >=. Or =, but it's never used. It can also be negated, so not <= means >. This is a minor brain bomb to parse, so it's possible some stuff ended up wrong. There are also checks that are unreachable (no sequence of interactions will lead to them), but still get found by my parsing and end up in this thread. Some lines will also look strange or not really related to the skill due to the trigger/result problem I described in the first paragraph. I will not be fixing individual errors, but if a pattern emerges that speaks of a programming mistake, I will try to fix it and post the info again. It's half an hour two hours of work, so... I'll just make it clear here that both the data digging and the formatting are automated, so "minor adjustments" are not really a thing, just code fixes. It's very cumbersome to edit these posts - their size alone slows my computer down. Think then what happens when added info makes a post too large for the forum to accept it, and I have to redistribute everything. Thanks to @Kvellen and @Noqn for helping me make sense of the data!1 point

I wouldn't say the ending is particularly bad. I found it mostly boring, and not very original. Some decisions felt too forced to feel dramatic. If you have specific ending you want for some NPCs, you might be disappointed.1 point

"It just works." ... even if it isn't intended. ...and yes stuff like this is utterly hilarious and should not be "fixed". I mean, ppl who don't want cheese, don't have to build it.1 point

There's definitely a US league, though I know nothing about it nor about streaming or other options in the US. Think the US has a bit more emphasis on the 7s, since that's an Olympic sport and the US were champions and undefeated at the Olympics for 84 years. Otherwise there's a load of regional/ national club championships like Super Rugby for Aus/ NZ/ Pacific islands or Pro14/ URC for Europe. We did win our last WC in 2015, so it's been a bit less than 20 years. The serious answer is that back then we had a bunch of all time great players and we don't now; and they haven't changed coaching 'style*' in nearly 20 years so have been well and truly worked out. Indeed, we were well and truly worked out in 2019 and got absolutely smashed by England as a result. Realistically, 4th best team at the tournament behind South Africa, France and Ireland and that's that. *ie they've successively picked the previous coach's assistant as their successor. Last one was a beauty, since Foster had a mediocre coaching record as head coach and we'd lost badly in 2019 in part due to the coaching style being the same as in 2008. But the poor confused old chaps couldn't understand the guy who'd coached three winning domestic sides in a row (now 7; and maybe once had the best team on paper). Then six months ago they decided to appoint him, leaving Foster understandably peeved about being effectively sacked before the World Cup. Coincidentally, we got a report this week saying rugby here is run by a bunch of incompetents, no clue what they based that on. Maybe they didn't like pink gins and ladies, a plate please?1 point

I think this is it folks. My journal looks suspiciously empty, and I run out of unexplored houses to break into. I think it is time to start wrapping things up. We will see if the ending is as bad as people claim. I clothed Laez in drops from edgy bosses. Suits her well, I say (Potential spoilers, open at your own discression)1 point

I replayed the Crèche and, ironically, ended up with the same results. In part because I failed some tests, but also because I'm still cleaning the place and so far it's been very satisfactory, especially when I used Lathander's mace's sunbeam to fry the people who desecrated the place. Apparently they moved the young and children, so I can keep avoiding hurting the innocent. If you can call them that, since Githyanki kids look even worse than the Goblins. Btw, I confess I did another experiment with save scumming and managed to get a game over by challenging a certain queen about her godly status.1 point

Rugby is cyclical for very good teams like the All Blacks SA has been like that often, we lost 2 games in a row to them before beating them on the 25 August. But I consider the All Blacks the most dangerous team for SA so if they get knocked out its good for us. I am glad France won last night https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_rugby_union_matches_between_New_Zealand_and_South_Africa1 point

It's such a pain when it happens in tabletop, no saves to roll back to, it's straight back to the character editor1 point

Yeah, got similar vibes. Feels like a mix of Fallout 4 and No Man's Sky. Game's "fine" so far, which means it's better than Fallout 4, which I couldn't stand until I started modding it. So far it certainly doesn't feel like it's worth the insane asking price, as far as I'm concerned.1 point

There is something that I find amusingly satisfying that Mom is voiced by Nana Visitor while Dad is voiced by Tim Russ.1 point

I replayed Morrowind about 12 months ago and I loved it, I included some good mods. I enjoyed exploring the Dwemer ruins and fighting the various Daedra I loved the lore found in books and also the various factions that you can join. I think Morrowind has the best narrative of all ES games I have played...it was always creepy meeting Dagoth Ur followers and see the land decline due to the Red Mountain Overall Daggerfall is my favorite ES game and I still havent played Skyrim but I will be, Im just waiting any final, final, final versions to be released because I only have 3 versions of the game and I dont want to miss out on another release1 point

well, it took a bit o' time, but the "retarded" people o' the US did eventual deport osho's con man arse, so score one for the developmental challenged, eh? furthermore, pretty much nobody says retarded anymore and even if they did the actual issue is ignorance as 'posed to some kinda endemic learning disability. however, the guys who invented modern representative democracy were quite aware o' the importance o' an educated electorate. "if a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be." -- thomas jefferson, from one o' his innumerable letters to... somebody. is ez to find similar insights from madison, franklin and others. 'course for jefferson and other founders, their recognition of education as an essential prerequisite for protecting liberty were another reason why they were okie dokie with only having landed and educated white men enjoy the franchise. 2023 is a also bit different than 1787. the internet allows many millions o' undereducated americans to convince selves they is aware of and informed 'bout relevant issues 'cause they did online research regarding covid, climate change and january 6. https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2023/09/07/republican-voters-january-6-trump-enten-ac360-vpx.cnn thanks to the internet, never has so many dangerously ignorant people been so unshakably certain in their stoopid held beliefs. This game is overrated. It is just a dice roll generator with a bunch of oversexed 1-dimensional companions. Jagged Alliance 3 is way better.1 point

TESIII: Morrowind. Watched a wizard experiencing falling damage, explored slavers' cave, talked to the locals. Also realised that I do not remember how to rest, fast travel, or sort the inventory by weight or whether it was possible at all. Still, I like the dialogue system with random NPCs (the new information becomes available to ask to elaborate) and the consistency of the replies (so I do not have to parse them only to gain the same information). While it is not what I would want from a party-based CRPG, it works well with the sandbox design of TES. The story so far - I was told to go to Balmora and find Caius Casades.1 point

Yes, I would love a character creator! Even with base perks/stats to choose from so your character is truly custom.1 point

All, Party Assist These are typically challenges in scripted interactions that everyone has to pass, like climbing or sneaking. Athletics Stealth =============================================================== All, No Assist A few physical challenges that nobody gets to help anyone with! Athletics =============================================================== Current These skill checks are given to whichever character you use to interact with the object. The Alchemy checks involve two objects in the bowels in The Forgotten Sanctum. The 18 Sleight of Hand check can substitute one of the Alchemy checks. The 5 Sleight of Hand check happens on the Wahaki island, as an assassination attempt. Alchemy (Party Assist) Sleight of Hand (Party Assist) Sleight of Hand (No Party Assist)1 point

It was a great run by the Heat, but they either had to play perfectly or hope that Denver suddenly stopped playing like how they've been playing this entire post-season, and so Denver gets its first championship. Jokic will undoubtedly (and deservedly) be heralded as the best player in the NBA, I think. Thank god that I don't watch or listen to any sports media, because I'm sure the whole lot of them will be just as obnoxious as they always are.1 point

I am apparently getting hit by all the sad feels because of Noam on Cydonia. The robot that broke down and has been unable to move for 17 years, and they consider it too expensive to fix so it was offered the choice of re-programming as a message handler and "assistant" or being scrapped. Then reprogrammed to enjoy that.0 points
