  1. Hmm King's Bounty the Legend is free for next few dozen of hours on GOG https://www.gog.com/en/game/kings_bounty_the_legend And Helium Rain added to permanent (probably ) free games on GOG. https://www.gog.com/game/helium_rain

  2. ...I do have fond memories of Morrowind. But I think it's mostly nostalgia of a lot of silly hi-jink moments (vs. any story/gameplay, I never came close to finishing the story). I'm pretty confident if I tried to replay it now, I would turn it off after two hours. I'd rather keep the nostalgic memories intact.

  3. Played an hour or so of starfield. It's fine so far. It feels a lot like fallout 4 in space, which should not be surprising I guess. I get the feeling ill give up on the game about 20 hours in.

  4. https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1086940/view/3669924544104905987?l=english So BG3 doesn’t have “cut content” as was suspected (aka. stuff Larian wanted in the game but didn’t finish in time to ship). As such those hoping for major “restored content” patch, hoped in vain. Still, Larian is paying attention to feedback and look to address some of the complaints.

  6. ^ I feel like so far early thoughts have been that the large cities and sidequests are nice, even if there are oodles of 1 second loading screens, but anyone hoping for grand planet hopping fun is going to be sorely disappointed. Edit: also, I can only imagine the performance nightmares of people attempting to use 600 mods on this, in any near future. Maybe 8 years from now..

  7. Even for Bethesda the intro to starfield is very bad. It's cringe dialog and then fast tracking you to get a ship. It happens in such an insulting way. Very early spoiler

  8. You missed nothing story wise. As with any Bethesda game really.

  9. This is pretty much what has happened to me with the 3 Beth. games I bought after Morrowind (Oblivion, Skyrim, FO4). Often not even 20 hours. Which is not to say Morrowind was the beesknees. It was just the first one (and I was a lot younger/less jaded) so I was more open to it, and the Creation Kit was fun. ...I'd still be mildly curious re: how well (or not) I could get it to run on my aging (2080ti/9900k) system tho. I'm guessing 1080p medium with FSR might get me, oh, 50fps! The game defaulting to FSR on just makes me LOL. Also, at least early on before possible game and driver patches, AMD gpu's definitely seem to have a pretty distinct advantage for this game, perhaps not surprisingly. ...someone has already modded a DLSS function for the game, although it doesn't have built-in sharpening. Some say it's helped tho. https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/196

  10. The Pupil (2022). Rather bizarre Italian film about a bunch of young girls in a nunnery during World War II trying to make it through Christmas while being yelled at for their apparent wickedness by the nuns, selling their little orphan prayers to all the wives and moms worried about their boys in exchange for food and such. The concept is decidedly me, and the execution was...rather amusing. I mean, just look at them. Once a girl decides that cake is more important than Christ, I think that pretty much seals it.

  11. Apparently Paladin is the most played class for custom characters with Fighter being in the middle of the pack. I didn't expect that. The tournament arc is the unfortunate end towards of almost every narrative. But also clickbait for articles and youtube videos.

  13. I'll never understand the need to pit these games against each other. Like, do you only get to play one game in life? They are both great RPG's, yay.

  15. Yeah, I'm classy enough to quote myself. I don't often do food porn, but once in a blue moon (and nobody see me doing it), I'll take a snapshot of food I can't get anywhere near home... Joojeh aka "Saffron Chicken"

  17. Old stuff from what you posted. I can't get in to their new stuff, post electronic, although that is the case with most bands I listened to.

  18. Nah, seems like he wasn't a gamer at all, and Starfield was just a tiny portion of the stolen goods he was selling. Seemed more like the world's stupidest advertising stunt. The "theft of goods $2500-10000" item on his charge sheet is a massive underestimate. His seller page is cleaned out now, but it was still up for a good few days after the arrest and the retail value of what was there had to be approaching six digits, if not over. He was selling job lots of games, electronics, perfumes, power tools, etc, like bundles of 10 Go Pros, 20 Bluetooth speakers, 50 copies of Just Dance (as one listing, not 50 individual listings), etc. Check out the Wayback Machine archive of just the first page (of nine) and it's probably already $10k+ worth of stolen goods there. He's a warehouse been apparently doing this systematically so even the total value of the stuff he's got listed *right now* would just be a fraction of his total business over time. Obviously I'm not saying it's worth 12 years, but your estimation of what he stole is probably out by a couple orders of magnitude because the retail value of Starfield would only have been a couple percent of the total of what he had listed.

  19. Who is the showrunner? If it's the same as WoT or RoP, I have bad news for you.

  20. Trip is the reason the canine animal companions are rated so highly.....aside from the fact that dogs are the best pets to have irl. Too bad WotR doesn't have an option to pet the dogs.

  21. Patch 1.1.0 released today. What makes this patch notable is that it includes the first batch of modding tools.

  22. Volition is shutting down. Probably a combo of the SR reboot not doing well and the problems Embracer has from blowing up like a balloon on (now not so) cheap debt then failing to get a bail out from the Saudis. Shame, quite apart from the people losing jobs they made some great stupid but fun games.

  23. No, Shadowheart doesn't simply want to get drunk. If you agree to meet with her later, Gale and Lae'zel will assume you will have sex with her. Not sure how they find out. Either Gale uses the telescope, Shadowheart braggs about it or one of the Tieflings likes to gossip. I was following this route, but then I decided to reload because I didn't want to cheat on Karlach, despite her consent to it. Interestingly, Lae'zel only said she would sleep with Astarion when she thought I would be with Shadowheart. As for Karlach, I used create water and now there is a permanent puddle in her part of the camp. There is. Play as a Druid and "romance" the Mindflayer while shapeshifted. I'll let you decide what would be more bizarre, the badger, the deep rothé or the spider.

  24. So a few days ago I clicked on a video that I thought was about one thing and turned out it was a "cancer journey" vlog. The person was charismatic and inspirational and I ended up watching the whole video. Anyway the main point is for no reason early this morning I chose turn on my other PC and check my email, something I haven't done in oh, a couple months. My brother's - who I haven't seen/talked to in over a year I think (my remaining family and I are not close etc) - plus all the extended family CC'd emails filled my digital mailbox. My niece - she's probably in her late 30's - apparently has brain cancer. They removed most of the original tumor/doing radiation etc. now but it's still progressing faster than expected/hoped for. Life is strangely coincidental - or something - at times. Edit: I can't do age maths.
