  1. Cognomen system > any ordinal system. Really shows you've achieved something in life- and you get well known but probably apocryphal stories told about you 1000 years later, eh Basil Bolgoroktonos...

  2. Aaaaaand game complete. Took 289 hours. All of Act 1 played in real-time w/ pause except when I got to the swarm boss in grey garrison, then turn-based ever after (with only some situational switches back) Act 6 didn’t overstay its welcome or totally **** the bed like Kingmaker thank the lord! It’s a pretty straightforward linear section of combat encounters and dialog bits. The hardest fight in the act was the boss demon during the approach before setting up camp. Everything after paled in comparison. The last boss is kind of a joke. So much so they auto heal a certain number of times to full life just to prolong it. I did get 3 nat 20 greater dispels off that pretty much striped most buffs. Enough that my party could land hits no problem. The penultimate boss fight was also hilariously easy. I used the waterfall Azata spell which is great and has a chance to knock down an enemy. Sure enough he got knocked down. The rest of the fight was my melee completely hacking the guy on the floor to pieces.

  4. Want to start this suggestion by letting the team know I LOVE this game. I have not fell into a game like this in over a decade. This is coming from a 33 year old father of 2 who played video games since he was 8. This game is a masterpiece. I only have 57 hours played but I am generally very busy and have severely cut into my sleep schedule to play this game. It is nearly the only thing I do in the little free time I have available. Please, the benefits of gear, gear sets, buffs, combat states, and de-buffs could really do with a total overhaul. No where in the crafting menu are detailed stats shown. Set bonuses are never mentioned until you have the set equipped. Even when equipped the bonus is written in a fun way and not a descriptive way. Are we supposed to rely on the wiki for this info? I am 57 hours in and just learned the wiki exists. Anyway, just my two cents. I love the pacing of most in-game "discoveries" but I don't like when one is a discovery outside of the game world If you read all that, thanks!

  5. Ah, so they've maintained consistency with the source material then, excellent for immersion. (I suspect being a writer for a wrestling game is a lot more difficult than people might think, since so many promos etc rely so heavily on the wrestler(s) delivering them. Mark Henry 'retiring', Steiner Maths or Hurricane/ Rock depend utterly on the people delivering them with utter conviction despite them being... just a little silly when you write them down)

  8. Doing a momentary pause in between the work things to look up some leatherworking tools. Then realise that they're being sold by a guy in Bulgaria with a storefront titled "D & S Ltd"... The perils of getting into leatherworking is that half the useful hobbycraft tools for it end up costing half the price of the item for shipping since they tend to be shipped from America or Eastern Europe...

  14. Thanks. Yes I like that on a lot. That is one big reason I was going to be a Bellower. That would be a nice alternative from using Greater Maelstrom Oh, I forgot to ask: What stats would you all recommend for an SC Troubadour? I maxed PER and INT, and keep MIG/CON at 12. I really don't wanna dump RES since I am gonna be on the front lines, but I figure -5 deflection won't make anyways, esp. if I have high CON. on POTD enemies always hit you unless you stack RES/Deflection, so there really is not a point of having RES as a moderate amount , right ?

  15. Who recruited a squadron of Babaus and left it in Drezen? No wonder the place was invaded! Are they deserters*? And why is it so difficult to go to the Hellknights outpost? Even with teleport? First I find Sul, who needs an escort to Drezen. Then it’s Ember’s fan club. Wonder who will turn up next time. My bet is on Early Sunset. Well, at least time will pass and my generals will return to lead the armies. I’m supposed to conquer all regions in the Worldwound and get to all these “time sensitive” quests. I hope at least Iz is not really a timed event. *Ok, after doing Ember's quest I have an idea where those Babaus came from.

  16. Hi everyone! I'm a huge fan of Grounded and I'm amazed by the graphics and performance you have achieved (esp. on Series S!). I have a question that I hope you can answer: is it possible to implement DLSS and XeSS into the PC version of the game? They both perform and look better than FSR and I'm curious if you have considered it or if you have any plans for it. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

  18. In my opinion, I think that the jumping spider should be more of a neutral critter that you can make a pet out of. I know that sounds weird, but I have seen people keep jumping spiders as pets and said spiders showing a preference to stay with their owner. I just think it's cute, and I personally think that it would be awesome to have a little spider pet that could hunt for you. And if you may think that there would be a big size difference, adult jumping spiders (generally) range from 4-16 mm long, or around .4-1.6 cm long. Which is interesting considering that a Black Vine Weevil (the kind that weevils in Grounded are based off of) are only about 9-14 mm long. (.9-1.4 cm) That's not really big enough to eat a player in the game.

  19. Sorry but I don't know how to move my topic to this forum so I'm just copy pasting. I've been playing grounded on xbox since basically day one and I'm a bit annoyed at parrying, it still takes shield durability and if you're good enough to unlock the parry master mutation then it's pointless to you anyway, I have the compliance badge which gives me parry heal and I use in all of my builds but I still don't get enough rewards for parrying. Things like shocking dismissal and shield "block corrosion" or "block free hit" only apply to blocking and not to parrying itself. Please obsidian give me more rewards for parrying. And side note Please let me use milk molars to upgrade my accessories so i can use 2, I dont care one bit about changing my compliance badge to a dandelion tuft as since the multiple hotbar update I have 1 for armour and my accessory (between tuft and badge) 1 for general exploration and harvesting and one for weapons. But I NEED to be able to use the compliance badge and Sarah's charm together. Please let me have a way to upgrade the amount of accessories I can use to 2 or 3 and give me more benefits to parrying in the next updates, I and I'm sure many other parry masters and players would extremely appreciate that.

  20. When you look at the achievements labels in Grounded you realize the badges are created with a etched design as though they are meant to be boy scout/girl scout badges. When I realized this I thought it would be a great idea to add a optional satchel to your character to show off the achievements you have accomplished. By completing all achievements the satchel would turn gold or have some sort of visual effect that would show that you completed all the of the achievements. This gives people a reason to complete achievements while also adding a very much asked for addition, customization options. Although not a huge addition it could be a great one.

  21. There needs to be an indicator and locator for items such as Milk Molars and Trinkets, if they are required for end game 100% completion. Its annoying to blindly go through every nook and cranny again to figure out what you missed, and where its located. Most people will say you can just google it, but that's not an excusable solution. Every problem and solution should be contained in the game. I'd also like to add that item description of abilities should be better displayed and explained instead of having to go to the icon that appears in trait. It just seems more user friendly. I see a lot of forums and chats where people are googling things that they shouldn't need to. Just some ideas on ease and accessibility. Thanks, love the game!

  22. With the addition of more trinkets, I think a display case could be pretty beneficial. When you open the display, there would be a spot of each trinket and also show which ones you're still missing. Definitely an easy way to keep track which ones you're needing. With further updates, additional spots could be added easily and the case could also add to the coziness of the home. Let me know your thoughts.

  23. Hello Team and Community, I have been playing Grounded since it's first game preview release on Xbox. I've seen how far this game has developed into what it is today. I have been thinking a lot on additional content for the game. One that has been on my mind now for a while is jumping spiders, and their related armor, weapons, and possible mutations that could fit perfectly in your game. Below is my idea: The Jumping Spider: The enemy type is an ambush predator jumping on it's target and using surprise attacks to overwhelm it's prey. It would be a fast attacker that would literally pounce on you from afar and unleash fast attacks before leeping away to prepare for it's next attack. Either option as a summoned boss or roaming backyard enemy would be fine. However, the use of a roaming enemy type would be more thrilling to me as not knowing when they would attack plays on how they are in the animal kingdom. They could fit anywhere in the backyard with the upper garden jungle being a primary location. Their parts would be the typical spider chunks, jumping spider legs, and those big eyes. With those parts in hand they would provide an opportunity to craft a unique armor and tools for future backyard adventures. Jumping Spider Armor: The armor unique to Jumping Spider parts would feature the typical three perks (base perk, sleek perk, set perk). The idea is to turn the wearer into an ambush predator or parkour enthusiast. The base perk could focus on reducing fall damage with three pieces practically removing fall damage entirely. The Sleek path would increase jump height of character allowing for a more vertical approach to engagements and navigation. Finally the set perk would be allowing the wearer to charge attack faster after landing from a jump. This set would allow for a unique experience to the backyard with new movement possibilities. Mutations: Similar to Mithridatism from wolf spiders, Ambush Predator could be an excellent opportunity provided from Jumping Spider kills. This would make the user capable of taking on encounters as an assassin and exploit weaknesses! The mutation could allow for weak spots to be made on a target from the first hit on the target if they were not aggressive towards the user. Allowing for future hits in that area to increase damage dealt from all sources. The idea here is to ambush the target and overwhelm them just as a jumping spider would. Overall, I hope you like my idea for the jumping spider and that we could see this addition in a future update. Thank you so much for making a great game, and for all your hard work on this amazing experience. Grounded has been a great experience for me and my family and we cannot wait to see what comes next. P.S. I am typically a healer/support in roleplaying games and would love to see that option further developed on. I also have some ideas for that. Thank you for the new wasp queen, mutations, and tools.

  24. I know there are probably tons of suggestions for this but salty wizard staff. I know a popular build is to fill an inventory with javelins and spam throw them. Why not have the salt staff shoot a shard of salt to replace that build. This is late game area after all. And maybe for a charged attack, have the player slam the staff on the ground "you shall not pass" Gandolf style and have salt shards emerge from the ground around the player stabbing enemies before crumpling away. For continuity, why not have a similar charged mint staff attack where instead of a more powerful forward attack, tap the ground for a broader area attack around the player. Would be useful for the mint staff that slows enemies as a get away option when surrounded and overwhelmed by enemies. The direct downside that keeps it from being too OP is that you're open to taking more damage from the insect around you while you wait for the attack to charge.

  25. Also absolutely worthless as it gives no point of reference as to what this "brand new laptop, just booted up" actually is and how much pre-installed software just started up (queries to McAffee sound suspiciously like there's a pre-installed McAffee suite on the computer), and then he goes on to compare it to a clean Windows XP Professional installation. Also notice how the Windows XP task bar is shown, but never the Windows 11 task bar (in the video, not in the thumbnail). In fact, he just kept the browser in full screen mode all the time. Why? That is reminiscent of the video claiming that Windows 10 phoned home half a million times where they disconnected the computer from the internet, and 499,000 of these connections were the networking time protocol trying to sync the computer's date and time. Oooooh, scary. Not that Microsoft isn't collecting data, but this proves nothing, it's just manipulative bull... like almost all of these videos.

  29. I know Denmark has been “encouraged” to increase gas and oil production since the war started. Production had been cut to minimum level the last few years as renewable energy now supply the country with 67% (no kidding) of its electricity. Oil is mostly just needed for all things combustion engine driven, until those also gets replaced by electric engines. Every OPEC country’s nightmare

  31. I've been in that exact roundabout quite a few times Even the SatNav in my little Audi A1 at the time struggled to keep up with where I had to go. I think I also somehow managed to run a red light at a pedestrian crossing on one of the exit roads by accident the first time (you can't see it on this particular picture), when I just wanted to flee in sheer panic from the horror that was roundabouts nested within roundabouts It looks nice when seen from above on a picture, but at road level, with limited (or no, in case of traffic) visibility, local knowledge is definitely beneficial for your continued survival. edit: I lived in Woking at the time (working from home several days a week), but our office was in Swindon

  33. Hello obsidian I really like your game grounded I have a couple ideas for it 2 The spear saddle: the spear saddle requires you to be Science level 5 It's simple a saddle with a rope attached to a spear the player uses this item by throwing the spear at a bug such as /stinkbug/bee/other/ once the player throws it the spear attachs to the bug and the saddle Flys on the bug once the saddle is attached the player will be able to ride the bug but first you need to tame the bug by doing a timing bar mini game. Once that is done the player will be allowed to ride the bug freely

  34. plz add more end game bugs like dragon fly's, scorpions, centipedes, and millipedes. also a lasso would be a fun tool for catching things like aphids weevils exc... also if you could use lassos with your teem to pull large bugs in cages for taming purposes or just so you could have it safely in your base just because. it would also be cool if there was a rain forest bug encloser biome with more exotic bugs. and small bug cages with boss fights in them. and maybe a few open and nocked over for some maybe late game neutral bosses that wander around the beginning zones of the map so there is still a use to beginning zones late game so it isn't to hard to start off. also plz add a tire two bombardier armor set in the form of a bomb suit some sort of armor for the stink bug. one more thing I want to see is more of an ecosystem of predator and prey system
